I’ve decided that I’ll continue to only post uplifting and positive reviews & restaurant critiques. We have enough negative commentary in our lives today.

Thus if you enjoy reading about the quality restaurants I dine at please continue to read FUEL.

I feel the best way to give a poor review, or show dissatisfaction of a restaurant is to not give them any exposure in this blog. If, however, you disagree, then please cease reading this blog and direct yourself to another restaurant review site that includes negative reviews along with the positive. Each time I decide to eat here I’m rewarded. Tonight’s chef special was the crab cakes & filet-wonderful. I prefer mine med-rare.

The catch of the day is also always a fine selection. Large, diverse menu. Food and the atmosphere is both relaxed and fun. Perfect excuse for a date with your significant other. Maybe Get a few additional couples or friends to join you. You’ll be rewarded seeing them enjoy the fine food.

Your palate will thank you too. Now get there!

Take your time making your dinner selection off the menu. Don’t worry however-whatever you choose will be enjoyed. I’ve been here four times and have never been dissatisfied with my choice.

When you do order make sure to include any of the house made Fede Pastas. This is their personal artisan pasta creations.

My wife and I always enjoy the Polpette appetizer. Meatballs made with prosciutto, garlic, basil and tomato sauce. It’s not overwhelming and is a perfect size portion.

Our most recent visit found my wife enjoying the Giglio-Fede pasta (again a must!) with shrimp, broccolini and pistachio. I was lucky to order a dish I haven’t tried yet, the Onda. Chicken, artichoke, gremolata with Fede pasta.

Great environment, enjoyed the knowledge of the wait staff and the way they took the time to recommend and explain the menu selections.

Enjoy the Queso en Aceite (padron peppers, olive oil, garlic on toast)

Next go with the small plate Charcuteria-wonderful! Now you are ready to enjoy the large plate (good for 2-4 people) Bistec ala Plancha (NY Strip with Tempranillo)

IL PIZZAIOLO, MT LEBANON

This fine dining location boasts both a rustic and traditional Italian (with focus on the Naples, south regional cuisine) menu. I’d easily recommend any of the traditional pizza selections. Or try the Penne Romana, or the Pollo Limone. The Limone is chicken breast with lemons and white wine-excellent!

The Antipasto Misto or Caprese is also beyond perfect. A must is to save room to enjoy a meal concluding Tiramisu.

GIA VISTO

Here is an excellent Italian restaurant where both the pastas and breads are made onsite. Doesn’t matter what you order-you’ll enjoy whatever. Best to enjoy with a group of friends and family. BYOB, reservations recommended.

MINTT INDIAN CUISINE

WOW did Larry, Stan and I enjoy the food here! My chicken tikka was excellent 👍. Stans butter chicken was perfectly prepared. My brother in law-Larry-raved about his Goat entree. We all had the channa batura for the appetizer-wonderful! Treat yourself to the chili naan hot bread-makes a nice compliment to your dinner entree. Top it all off with this dessert choice; rasgulla. These are spongy cake like balls dipped in sugar syrup. 

Two Pittsburgh area locations. Participates with both Urber Eats & Grubhub.

CAPORELLAS-an Italian Ristorante.

located in Uniontown is one of the best Italian Restaurants (in my opinion of course!) in the SWPA region. The Zuppa (soup) is great-any soup-try any of them. my favorite entrees are any of the following; Asiago cheese gnocchi, the grilled chicken Palermo or the wood fried pizzas. child friendly, great location for family and/or friends. CICCANTI RISTORANTE

Frank CICCANTI has a gem in this restaurant. I've never left here disappointed in either the food or service. By all means go hungry!  This eatery specializes in fresh veal and fish dishes, but any entree that  I've ever chose is wonderful. I tend to favor two veal dishes-veal Frankie or veal pizzaiola. My brother in law swears that the escargot is the best he's ever had-anywhere! I'd also recommend the chicken breast a la Marsala. Located in Jefferson Hills, Route 51 south.

V&V SCRATCH KITCHEN  FINLEYVILLE, PA

MUST SAY IVE BEEN IMPRESSED EVERY TIME IVE ATE HERE. THIS ELECTIC CUISINE RESTAURANT IS A MUST GO DESTINATION. THE HOT ITALIAN SAUSAGE PIZZA WITH SOPPRESSATA IS GREAT. AS IS THE APPLE/PISTACHIO SALAD, UNIQUE & DELICIOUS! THE FOOD IS PRESENTATED WITH A VIGOR THAT SHOWS THE LOVE THAT THE OWNER/CHEF PUTS INTO EACH DISH HE PREPARES. 

BTW-MY WIFE ANNOUNCED IN THE MIDDLE OF HER MEAL HER SCALLOPS WERE THE BEST SHES EVER HAD! 

CHILD/FAMILY FRIENDLY. STEAKS ARE HUGE/SANDWICHES TOO!

Let's see, who of my guests enjoyed their dinner entree more? was it my wife and the shrimp scampi or Stan’s eggplant parmigiana? Depends on who you ask. This iconic restaurant never fails to impress. 

The entrees are wonderful. Balsamic chicken is really good. Try the veal-any veal selection will do. Try to leave some room (hard to do) to enjoy one of the fine desserts. My wife and I prefer to try a different gelato flavor each time for a fine culinary conclusion to our time at ANGELOS.
