So my old truck Big Blue is gone but I have a new truck to take her place. Allow me to introduce ‘Hotaru’, my 1995 Nissan D21 Hardbody. She isn’t the cleanest truck on the planet but I’m absolutely thrilled to have her. I plan on spending as much time outdoors this year as possible so she likely won’t stay this clean for very long. Thus continues my long standing tradition of owning beat up Nissan’s. Welcome to the fleet Hotaru!

I happened to be in Heuberger Subaru getting parts for my upcoming WRX rebuild (more on that later) when I spotted this beauty: 2017 Subaru BRZ Series Yellow. She is one of only 500 that are being made. I am well aware that in many ways it’s just a BRZ with a yellow paint job but I’m so excited to have met her in person. I thought the paint would be similar to the (13V) “Sonic Yellow” paint seen on the 03′ WRX but it is notably different. Truth be told I think I would prefer Sonic Yellow on it but I am happy to have met her regardless. I hope your owner loves you as much as I do!

Hello, you’ve reached the start! Good job on that. So who are we?
BakaMoto is an automotive publication founded by a handful of friends in Colorado. Our goal is to document and preserve all things automotive, especially builds that might not otherwise get the recognition they deserve. We share a mutual love of all things automotive. We dig it all, from the most expensive builds and hottest exotics all the way down to the rusty well-loved daily driver. What unites us is a passion for these mechanical creations, big and small. Stay tuned and we’ll see you out there on the road.
