Carolyn’s First Communion was today. She was so excited! Her Godmother got her a book “The Night Before My First Communion” and Kenny recorded himself reading it on the creative Tonie we have and she listened to that before bed and she loved it! I told her we would have second First Communion when Kenny gets home. We will buy her a new pretty dress and have a special party and cake for her with her Dad. I think that made today a little easier for her.

I moved the cow to the pasture at the front of the driveway today. The kids checked the fence and I tightened the loose spots. The fencer was putting out 5,000 volts but she won’t try to get out because she has so much grass. She actually did really well going up the driveway. I could have left the rope off her because she just would have walked. She hated the rope and was kicking so I let it go and she ran up to the fence and went right in. I might move the goats up with her but they escape easier so we will see how she does alone.
I also opened the pool today. Took the cover off and hooked up the pump. It’s green but it should clear up once I get more water in it and turn the pump on. Hopefully by Jonathan’s birthday at the end of the month. That’s when Kenny usually has it ready. So I hope I can too!
J and C are supposed to have a baseball game tomorrow but it is supposed to rain so we will see. I wouldn’t mind it being canceled I have a few things to do before C’s First Communion on Sunday since mass is at 8:00 I would like to get as much done before bed tomorrow. She is so excited! I’m so excited for her too! Our favorite priest will be able to have the mass for them when originally he wasn’t going to be able to. She’s very happy about that!

We had homeschool evaluations today. I am so glad that they are over. I had to make 5 portfolios this year. Jonathan and Carolyn both had to take CAT tests this year because they are in 3rd and 5th grade. They did great. Andrea was very impressed by everyone’s portfolios and had no problem recommending them move to the next grade levels. Next year I’ll have 8th,6th,4th,and two 1st graders. Now to just get through this 16 days and we will be on Summer vacation!! I cannot wait!!

I finished them. I’m never reading an unfinished book series again! I never read Harry Potter and LOTR was obviously all out before I started them. I never liked reading until I was older. Now I have to wait 2 years for the next book! I’m going to reread them to see what I missed. I still cannot believe how it ended. My best friend said I was going to want to throw the book and she was 100% right.
I need to order a bunch more stuff but this is what I have so far. I want the special edition books too!

💛 Every year Kenny steals me daffodils from a field near our house. This year they decided to do it. Jonathan was the leader haha but he didn’t want a picture.

Easter 2025. I don’t like being back there alone! Kenny cannot come home soon enough! We had a good Easter!Spent the day at Kenny’s parents. All his siblings, their spouses, nieces and nephews were there. It was a nice day but it was sad he was the only one missing. His parents have 10 kids so it’s really rare when they are all together. I think Thanksgiving this year will be the next time we are all together.
Carolyn’s First Communion is the last big thing I have to do alone before Kenny comes home!! Double digit countdown until he is back in the states!!

I normally can read a book or listen to it and not be bothered by it when I’m not reading it. I started the Fourth Wing books and holy heck! I’m listening to it because I really don’t have time to sit and read right now. It is so good!! I’m already on the 3rd book and I was too scared to look up if there are more but my best friend told me that it supposed to be a 5 book series. I’m half way through book 3 and I’m trying to slow down because she hasn’t started writing book 4 yet! But it is so good!! I ordering actual copies of the books because I want to sit and read them one day and they are such pretty books!! I’ll check back in when I’m done with this books because it is stressing me out!!

Miriam Olivia is 3!
She had a wonderful birthday until around 4. When she got sick and was throwing up. She still was able to let us sing Happy Birthday and open her presents but went to bed shortly after because she felt so bad! We are doing a birthday redo when she is all better because no one should be sick on their birthday, especially a sweet little toddler!

15 years today. 15 years ago we got married knowing he was deploying to Iraq a month later. I know a lot of people thought we were crazy and it would never last. Well here we are 15 years later and probably happier than those people who doubted us. We dated for a year and a half and then got engaged and were planning to get Married on his birthday 9/24 in 2010 but the Army changed those plans. He made sure I had tulips at our December wedding. It snowed so much that day,the roads were so bad. I remember every single thing about that day. It was perfect. These past 15 years have been up and down but I never thought we wouldn’t make it this far. He is truly my best friend and I can’t wait for this deployment to be over so we can have him home. Happy 15 Years! I always say that 1st year was the weirdest and hardest but I 100% believe it helped us get to where we are today.
