The fact that Good Omens S2 was SO QUEER.
Not Just Maggie and Nina (and Lindsey)
Not just Aziraphale and Crowley
Not even just Gabriel and Beelzebub (who is NB)
But the magician shopkeeper and his trans/NB spouse who wore a fancy early 19th century dress to the ball.
Job's son who was flirting with Aziraphale (hilariously played by Ty Tennant giving Michael Sheen heart eyes in front of his dad lmao)
Even the tough macho man in Scotland that Aziraphale borrows the phone from - using it for "Grindr".
Plus of course Michael, Uriel, Muriel, and Dagon also all being non binary/gender queer characters.
With all this, there was no homophobia, no one batted an eyelid at any characters sexualities, sexuality wasn't even brought up, characters just are who they are and like who they like. Its a non issue in the GO universe.
AKA my favourite type of queer representation. The same type found in The Sandman (show not comic).
And whilst there was plenty of drama and not everyone gets a happy queer ending (YET) there was no queer trauma to be seen. No hate crimes, no "bury your gays", no stupid discussions about how HARD it is to be out of the closet in a bigoted world, because the GO world isn't bigoted.
Its SUCH a BREATH OF FRESH AIR.
I know we have similar experiences in The Sandman, In OFMD, and even in WWDITS, but each time a new show takes this very new approach towards queer representation I feel like I'm once again sinking into a comforting hug from someone I love, who loves me back.
Its just really fucking wonderful to see. I hope we keep seeing it more and more often.

Both the opening scene and “Every” share a small theme/musical melody that creates a deep emotion context to the pairs inner feelings.
Listen below to how the notes ascend and descend:
Pre-Fall Crowley’s still has an angelic choir, a holy radiance and innocence we haven’t heard associated with the him before. The theme sweeps into a bright major as he laughs at the joy of his hard work and the birth of something bright and new.
However, Crowley making a nebula fills him with the same joy as a kiss with Aziraphale. The melody plays in dramatic strings that cry out with a smaller choir which slowly drugs away. A melodic interpretation of the fallen angel. Yet, when Crowley kisses Aziraphale, the music falls to minor after the initial hope. Sadder. Slowly falling apart.
This isn’t a birth of something new like his joyful nebula, but potentially a loss.
In conclusion: Season 2 is actively slowly killing me. David Arnold went insane this season.

I'm sure it's been talked about before, but I think one of the biggest draws about Hannibal Lecter as a character, is how adaptable and accepting he is. I can't imagine him being misogynistic, or racist, or homophobic, or transphobic, or xenophobic, or ablest, etc. Because it would go against the entire concept of his character. Hannibal Lecter is not rude, he despises rudeness. All of those things, ideas, and people are rude, and he wouldn't stand for it. Like yes he kills people, but he would never target a minority, he would never target someone for something they couldn't control. If anything, he would target the people who are homophobic/racist/misogynistic/ablest etc. Most villians would have no problem being prejudice/bigoted, but Hannibal wouldn't be able to. Top that off with the fact that Hannibals type of aggression doesn't include yelling, hitting, or actions we typically associate with cishet male aggression that is commonly pointed at women/lgbt/disabled/etc individuals. And this could extend to villians like Dracula, so primarily queer coded villians. It makes sense a lot of women and minorities find his character so much more likeable.

El never openly talks about her grief for Hopper and we never hear her say that she misses Hopper but I see it in the way she doesn’t destroy or throw away the diorama after she was ridiculed and mocked for it. I see it in the way she clings to that box while being laughed at in class. I see it in the way she brings that box home, despite the pain and shame it caused, and in the way she methodically goes to work, glueing it back together. I see and feel her grief for him, for her dad, in all of these actions, in the way she clings to that box and in the way she fixes that broken box because she cannot cling to Hopper and she cannot fix his death. Grief can and should be loud, and it can feel very violent, and should be something people are open about but it can also be very quiet and infused within the actions people take when words are too hard and I like that the show allows El’s grief to be a mixture of both.
