I hate being the center of attention. I’m usually the bass sound in a rock song, the painting at the far-end of the hallway no one flocks to look at, the long and complicated novel only a few would appreciate.

I’ve always been a private person. I always hid certain parts of me in shelves no one can gain access to. Privacy and solitude mattered to me more than attention and validation.

But sometimes, when the dirt inevitably piles up, a part of me wonders how it must feel like to have someone dust off all my untouched parts.

Sometimes, I wonder how reassuring it must feel to have someone treat me as a priority.
