Garden of Words (dir. Makoto Shinkai, 2013)
This movie is a bit short than the usual films by Shinkai but it was one of the movies that made the most impact to me. It is about Takao (Miyu Irinu) who skips morning classes and stay in a garden to draw sketches of shoes as he aspire to be a shoemaker. The story began when he met Yukino, a 27-year old woman who also visits the garden to drink and eat chocolates. The movie talks about pursuing what we really wanted regardless of what people will say. It tells us to get out of our comfort zone to achieve our dreams and not look in our incapability and look on what we can do instead.
In the end, they did not end up with other but I guess that’s the nature of Shinkai’s films. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

January: A Month in Review
We all expected that 2020 will be our year but January got no chill. All happened in just a month; a virus outbreak, a terror between Iran and USA and a destructive bush fire in Australia. We may not be affected from this said tragedies but we’re battling from our own struggles. Most of us don’t live in Australia but we are suffocated by people’s thoughts. We are not infected by the nCoV-ARD but we isolate ourselves from people in the thought that staying away from them will be for their good. We always think that revenge will fill the void caused by the damage people gave us but it actually widened the gap and the void inside us.
January has been a hell of a ride but there’s still 11 months remaining. More pain and struggles will come inevitably but it’s always up to us what we should cherish and remember.

Short comic, while I work on something bigger on the side. It is nevertheless a very important topic. A lot of seabirds die because they eat plastic. They feed their chicks with the waste. It’s really tragic.
