Ok so... I have been working on a multi-chaptered fic for a while. Soulmates AU (my weakness lol) question: do I drop the first chapter today? 🙈

Am I the only one here for Callum joining the police? I really hope they go through with the story. I don’t understand why people aren’t on board with it? Here are some pros to the storyline

1- Callum in a police uniform ✅

2- Ben enjoying Callum in a police uniform ✅

3- Callum actually having storylines outside of Ben which will give his character more depth and hopefully mean he will become a staple in the soap rather than just a character to boost other character storylines (also means Tony might get more episodes. LET THE MAN GET HIS COIN.) ✅

4- Ben and Callum angst (it’s a love/ hate but it’s a soap. The only way characters stay together for long is if they have bumps in the road and it’s the only way to keep the actors happy too.) ✅

5- Callum having friends outside of Jay, Lola and his brother. ✅

6- hopefully the start of the PTSD storyline we are all gagging for. ✅

7- jealous Ben ✅

Can people let me know what cons they have? Seen a few posts about Him becoming a counseller, paramedic, nurse etc but if that was the case, we wouldn’t see him working on screen (also these careers take a SHIT ton of training and studying..).

So when are we thinking Callum moved back into the big room then? And like... what was the point In them saying he was in the small room in the first place? Really sad we didn’t get a ‘Ben facing Paul’s old room’ scene :(

I feel like some people don’t get Bens character at all! He pushes the people he loves away when he’s hurt and upset, hence tonight’s episode. Also, he is grieving for his brother and his hearing. It isn’t selfish that he isn’t thinking about Callum’s feelings, it’s human! People are forgetting that he didn’t even hear what Callum said when he was shouting at him too.

Obviously a talk does need to happen (which I think we will get tomorrow) but Callum isn’t in the wrong for realising Ben is in pain and pushing his own feelings to the side (that’s what you do when a loved one is in pain) and Ben isn’t in the wrong for being in a bad place for loosing his hearing and someone he loved. Cut him a bit of slack people ✌🏻

Bit disappointed it’s ruined but hoping that there is a lot more in that scene and that’s why they have allowed the ILY to be spoiled. Like o need Callum just grabbing Ben after that and kissing him lol

Torn between being happy that at least with Eastenders droughts for the foreseeable we know Ballum are in the episodes and annoyed that this HAD to happen when there was good Ballum content... anyone else? Haha
