Despite Dave Brockie going on that one homophobic rant and the one Kaitlyn Jenner sketch, Gwar is actually really fuckin queer. It isn't even coded. It's CANON. If you actually read the comics or explore the lore at all it becomes impossible to ignore or explain away. They aren't just GNC or "prison gay" a lot of the characters are straight up LGBTQ+

As a disclaimer, none of the Scumdog's humans have come out, please separate the human actors/musicians who portray these characters from the characters themselves. I am not about to push labels on real life people.

This piece of art was done by the late Dave Brockie, former front man of the punk/metal band GWAR, and avid RPG player. His band was composed of a group of artists who initially considered performance art to be their priority, with the music accompanying the theatrics. It’s no surprise then, that Dave was capable of creating some pretty cool artwork. Here’s his alter ego, Oderus Urungus, enjoying a cocktail after a long day of slaughter.
