i've been to the US several times across many different states and either took food with me or got stuff sent to me, and i cannot overemphasize how chemical it all tastes compared to what we have here. so much of it tastes like the average air in a lab. i've smelled toxic chemical vapours that are easier to swallow than some of the shit they present to y'all as food.

my professors routinely talks about all the bad, harmful compounds and substances that are banned here just to follow it up with "...anyway americans still use it. it's bad. moving on." really wish i could share our food safety standards.
