#Countdown to 2018: My Top 10 Nigerian songs so far...
I can literary hear random voices saying, “Calm down, its not even Christmas yet” but I’ve been itching to compile a list of my fav Nigerian songs this year; considering the fact there are many of them.
Trust me when I say I’m the plug when it comes to Nigerian songs (*wink wink).  In no particular order, these are my top 10 Nigerian songs:
MANYA by Wizkid seems to not only top this list but also my mind as I write this. For whatever reason, this song seems to calm me down when I’m being stressed at work; but of course, Wizzy baba can never go wrong…
“…Shuku Shaker, aya shoemaker oo..”  I mean, if FIA by Davido isn’t on this list then what am I doing right?
Frankly, the only reason why I’m doing this in no particular order is because I can’t seem to decide between which of these songs tops my list- Manya, FIA and Yeba. These artistes didn’t come to play this year sha.
With that being said, YEBA by Kiss Daniel appears to be one of the songs that made my 2017. The boy knows his stuff!
I promised myself to stop listening to songs by the confused Nigerian/Ghanian, Mr Eazi but hearing his song - POUR ME WATER - changed my mind.
Okay, let me just finish up this list…
WAY - Falz x Wande Coal
GREEN LIGHT - DJ Cuppy x Tekno
SAID - Nasty C x Runtown
JOROMI - Simi. Let me just say that I think Simi killed her songs this year and she deserves more appreciation.
MA LO - Tiwa Savage x Wizkid
GAGA SHUFFLE - Tubaba
MAMA - Mayorkun
JEJE (Easy) - Reekado Banks
PICTURE PERFECT - Wizkid
LIKE DAT - DAVIDO
FARGIN - Teni
SOMETHING LIGHT - Falz x YCEE
JUICE - Ycee x Maleek Berry
I’m worried that I can’t seem to keep to my promise of providing my top 10 list; but doesn’t this mean Nigerian artistes really didn’t come to play this year?
If you don’t have these songs on your 2017 playlist…
Of course, I wasn’t going to leave SOFA by Kiss Daniel out of this list.

Too Much or Too Glam?: The Wedding Party 2 - Movie Review
You know what they say about having too much spice in a meal?
That’s right! It spoils it...
Need I say more? #TWP2 has been on almost every Nigerian’s mind, in anticipation of watching our “beloved celebrity couple” on screen... again!
I had the privilege of watching this movie before its release date (advance screening) with a group of people, at Filmhouse IMAX, Lekki and I wasn’t so impressed. Okay, don’t get me wrong; the cast is awesome - so many movie stars and comedians were featured - The graphics? Amazing! Not to mention the location of the movie...
Llike many others, I was so hyped about having Patience Ozokwor in the cast of this movie; but “disappointed”, doesn’t justify how I felt after watching it. As expected, she plays the role of a wicked, tribalistic aunt, who is against her nephew marrying an “oyinbo” rather than someone from her tribe. Nothing exciting about that.
Again, bringing back the character “Rosie” (Beverly Naya) into the movie didn’t make any sense; but of course, she had to be the “ by-force trouble maker”.
I could go on and on about why I consider the TWP2 totally unnecessary, but I would rather not drop any more spoilers, so enjoy!
The only question is, why try to force something out of nothing?
