Historical video of the day: Clip from Abu Ali Mustafa’s short film “Scenes of the Occupation from Gaza” (1970), which captured the brutality of the IDF and the valor of the Palestinian resistance during the 70s. As far back as then, efforts were made by Israel to expel Palestinians abroad and into Egypt.

On this women's day, our thoughts go to the women of Palestine, Sudan, Congo and Haiti and all Indigenous women who struggle for liberation. The women's liberation movement will always be an anti-capitalism, anti-imperialism and decolonisation movement.

Carl Weinrother Karl Liebknecht-Haus, Headquarters f the German Communist Party (KPD), Bülowplatz, Berlin 1932
Note the Antifaschistische Aktion (Anti-fascist Action) banner porminently featured on the building. Sadly, the KPD spent more energy fighting against the Social Democratic Party (SPD) than they did against the nazis (and same thing with the SPD against the KPD) and just a year later it was too late.

Ida Kar Brendan Behan, New York City 1959
"I respect kindness in human beings first of all, and kindness to animals. I don't respect the law; I have a total irreverence for anything connected with society except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer." Black Panther Party member Kathleen Cleaver on non-violence. [source]
Non-violence is a very non-functional approach in a society that's based entirely on organized force and violence. A country that was created in violence, land was taken in violence, a society that's perpetuating itself through violence in the ghettos, in Vietnam, in Africa. Wherever you look, there is organized force and violence at work to maintain this society. There is a world of difference between 20 million unarmed people, and 20 milion people organized and armed to the gills. That's Power.

Leila Khaled: Hijacker (2006, Lina Makboul)
-Could you be described as a terrorist? -Our enemies say so. Our enemies call any form of popular resistance terrorism. Who decides and defines what terrorism is? As far as l'm concerned, occupation is terrorism. My people and l have a right to fight it. l don't care what others call it. People have a right to fight those who occupy their country by all means possible, including weapons. That's what it says in the UN declaration. But Leila, if you look up ''terrorist'' in a dictionary?
You, the whole of Sweden and Europe and the USA can travel to Haifa. But l can't, I'm not allowed to. Not just me. 5 million Palestinians can't see Palestine. lsrael doesn't care about international law. Why should we accept that?
