Hi everyone I was on tumblr and I found this HAHAHAHA now I really want to look at the score just to sit there and laugh at how much more ridiculous this is than with heart and voice or any other piece we have seen before for that matter.  On a side note I think this is my first time posting on the batch tumblr (credits to saga for painlessly monopolising the blog and keeping it alive for the past 3 years) 2 more months to SIBF #lezdodis xoxo,

hey everyone!!!

haha so cadenza ended quite well imo, i'm so proud of everyone :'))) thank you for all your efforts in making it successful, but more importantly, enjoyable :) hope you guys are enjoying band break and studying hard for TAs haha.

no matter what happened during cadenza, what's important is to work on our sibf pieces and perfect them by sibf of course! cos they dont sound that great during cadenza (i heard the recordings) so i think we have to practise more on these songs :) but all the other pieces sounded quite okay i think despite the glaring mistakes here and there >< and the alumni/combined pieces sounded super nice!!! *_*

anyway, i think sota was damn pretty! don't you think so? ^^ it was much nicer than acs barker with all the dressing rooms and holding rooms and posh stuff hurhur. i'm quite glad we managed to hold our concert there despite the really small seating capacity :>

oh yeah on a side note, i was bored and decided to listen to dream journey again, and it doesn't sound that bad leh ahahah. i think being in band for a longer time makes you more mature and less judgmental on the songs. but i have to say that it's quite random .__.

why haven't any of you been posting?! cadenza in 2012 had so many posts dedicated for it but this year only one tsktsk. but anyway, thanks priya for updating our column with the cadenza countdown and for organising the repertoire :)

It's really really scary that we only have 13 days left to Cadenza, and honestly speaking everyone is so unprepared. The thing that we have been looking forward so much to is gonna be over so soon!!! *inserts shocked face emoji* everyone please prac more and get your juniors to prac more also cos the band is only as strong as its weakest player :( 13 days is still quite some time to perfect everything, so let's all give our everything just for these 2 weeks, then we can slack all we want (ok no la but until like end of may)!

If we manage to pull off a very great concert, I'm sure there will also be a very great memory etched in our minds :) jiayou everyone and drink more water so you don't fall sick and miss any pracs! ^^

HELLO EVERYBAHDY!

It has been soooo long since we all last posted haha. I feel like updating about every single thing but I'm lazy ._.

Inunion was on 12/11/13, and hopefully you guys enjoyed it haha :D The dance was quite ok until the end where there was some mixup with the formation and it got screwed ): And up till now I haven't even listened to our Mayday >.< Priya has our variations but it cuts off near the end at the super climatic part SIGHS. Jenny posted Na Xie Nian on FB so you can go listen to it! It sped up quite a lot though, especially since the middle was missing so the change in tempo was super obvious. Hopefully we'll improve or not play that piece again haha.

How's your prep for With Heart And Voice (WHAV)? Our section had extra pracs haha but I'm sick of the song alr T.T Maybe it will be better when we play as a band x)

Anyway, there are only 11 days left to school! :O this is really really freaky. How have your holidays been? Haha mine was full of slacking ^^ How I wish holidays could last forever though :( i think I'll take sometime to get used to the fast pace of Y4 ><

aloha my darling batchies

It's been so long since I last posted! >.< oh man time has passed so fast, and now we're all mugging for EYAs :((((( 

I miss having band practices ): anyone having withdrawal symptoms like I am, DON'T FRET! EYAs will be over, and we'll be resuming band in no time hohoho :D yey and once band resumes, let's all jiayou and practice hard for Inunion, enjoy playing as a band, and wow our seniors  audience! ((:

Hehe although the band is going/has been going through a lot of changes, thank you guys for being so supportive and open-minded about all the changes :)) We've pulled through the beginning stage really fantastically (remember our super duper NDC performance?^^), so I'm sure that as long as all of us work hard, we can leave an amazing legacy behind us. We still have a really short but oh so exciting year ahead of us! (HEHE SIBF and Cadenza!)

Jiayous for everything guys!(: we'll pull through EYAs together :>

HEY GUYS!

I'm so excited because the batch hoodie is finally being ordered (and will come in about 20+ days i hope). It was quite time-consuming but also fun cos it was my first time liaising with an external company (: Hahaha and of course thanks to our great designer PRIYA!! And for all of you for bearing with my numerous emails, filling in surveys again and again.

I'm pretty excited for Inunion actually (though there's still a huge obstacle - EYAs). If you guys don't know, the recruits' piece is Air For Band! The main band pieces are MayDay Medley and Variations on a Korean Folk Song. The combined piece is 那些年/Those Years (: WE ARE PLAYING SUCH COOL PIECES but it's so asian haha :P

Did you realise, that this is gonna be our last Inunion? ): I mean, last one as a performing batch. The next Inunion will be when we are Sec 4s and we are coming back to watch as a graduated senior; a member of the audience): Time passes by so quickly, and as the top batch we'll be having our last of everything....

But it's okay at least we still have almost a whole year, and we have barely begun our journey as top batch :D I'm actl looking forward to Cadenza a lot even though it's still pretty long hehe ^^

Since you guys don't come here at all (tsk), I can freely say that IT'S MY BIRTHDAY IN 3 DAYS (: (: (: hahaha idk why I'm quite excited, maybe it's because my classmate has the same bday as me heh (x Anyway, you guys should come more often and post more :( This tumblr looks like mine, not the batch's ):

LIFE IS BORING

Hi guys :)

Our tumblr died again :'( But it's okay this post will revive it! So much things happened and I guess no one really bothered talking about them here anymore haha but wouldn't it be cool when we are old and bald (k not really) then we suddenly think of this tumblr and we look at how noob we used to be :P So I shall be cool and do a recap of what happened so far! (:

Anyway, just in case you guys may forget when you are 30++, we got DISTINCTION for SYF! Even though only 2 months have passed since then, I can barely remember anything from it, except that I squeaked an inaudible squeak :P hehe! But then even when we got the results I just felt so-so. Not that I wasn't happy! But then we only knew it 2 weeks after our performance itself so there wasn't much feeling that lingered. To be honest maybe having it on the 1st day was good even though we missed the Rafflesian holiday, cos there were TAs on thursday I think and I would hate to prac even on tue/wed ._.

And then there was Open House, where we played memories of friendship and do re mi (again). I think MOF is pretty nice even though some of y'all think it's childish! And that will probably be RGSSB '13's last performance ): But I'm still glad that we ended off on a great note (no pun intended) and I really really enjoyed that performance even though it was on a small scale!

And after that there was the super scary SC auds :O I was srsly so embarrassed >.<". Who else cringed at their video HAHAHA. But it also dawned upon all of us that we're gonna be top batch REALLY SOON. In about 1 month i think ): I'm so sad. And so scared. Sad that our seniors are leaving. Scared that we can't live up to the standards (in fact we're already dropping) and that we can't make band enjoyable and fruitful for everyone /: and the new recruits! The dwindling population is really worrying ><

I think the most eventful thing that happened was when we are no longer having MO /: And we were so sad and all >_< Then 2 days later we had the 'trial' for the conductors (omg actl it's a bit unsafe to talk about especially since the results are not out yet OOPS but it's okay ^_^) And we were really enjoying band prac with the 2 guest conductors (not naming them until 1 of them is confirmed to be our conductor). Then there was this voting thing. Personally I couldn't decide so I didn't vote (: There was quite a lot of debate on our whatsapp group haha! xD

Nowadays holidays are so boring because there's no band /: I really really wish we will start band again soon hahaha we've never ever stopped band during the june holidays if I'm not wrong! >_< I really hope we have band camp in june cos it was really fun from my memory of sec 1 even though i was quite scared of the sec 4s heh :P but I think each batch becomes less and less scary, especially since our batch has a lot of nice people haha. If we have a batch potluck again we can make jelly! (Again) I think making jelly is super nice omg. If not we can bake too:) I think we will most probably have potluck since we had it last year even though we couldn't have a band camp :P Looking forward to that even though it also means our holidays are ending.... urgh =.=

Enjoy the last 2 weeks of school holidays! Once we come back we're gonna have elections :(
