Sonic Character Design Reference sheet ✨⬇️

Sonic The Hedgehog, a struggling hero and the AU’s equivalent of Flynn/Eugene!

Our favourite little reckless, roguish, charming little hedgehog! I’ll go into more detail with him on another post, but as mentioned in my first concept design post and 4th Pre Au Post he’s a little rough around the edges (literally) and a very half baked hero. He’s alittle worse for wear (scratches and injuries varying design wise) and without Tails having been there to look before he leaps he’s honestly lucky he’s still alive but has the scars to show for it. In many ways his arc in the AU is similar to movie Sonics in the second film, learning to be less careless, to look out for others and realising he doesn’t always have to do everything alone! ✨

✨ Thank you so, so much to @/thatbirdguy_ yet again for helping to create this amazing character sheet! It was so much fun working with them on this as always! 💛✨ When I first came up with the initial concept designs… fun fact but it was before I ever intended on actually posting anything anywhere! From the beginning I always wanted to go simple and show small tweaks. I always knew however that the strap needed a little something extra - so this was the perfect opportunity to finally tie the wear together a bit more with the addition of a slightly more detailed strap and side bag to his design! ✨

This was supposed to be smaller but…oh well. Have fun with a wholesome brothers moment I came up with today, set after the events of sonic riders zero gravity. i wanted to share this only on the discord server im in, but it’s too long to send it hhhh. so, i hope you enjoy :)

“Mornin’ buddy.” he jumps a little at the greeting, ears still sensitive from their last adventure. Maybe from the lack of sleep as well.

“Good morning, Sonic.” he replies, mentally slapping himself. His voice sounded way too coarse, even coarser than Sonic’s, and now he is certain he is going to get lectured very soon. Despite that, he continues his work, trying to cover up for the slip up by not letting his brother see his face and - potentially - the dark bags under his eyes. Maybe if he acts like nothing is wrong, Sonic won’t suspect a thing and-

“Tails?” he doesn’t flinch, even though it felt like Sonic was on the verge of interrogating him. Instead, he minds his own business. 

“Yeah?”

“Miles.” A hand on his shoulder and the sound of his birth name in that strict tone, urge him to turn around on his chair as he lets out a long sigh. Tools still in his hands and ears hanging low, Tails suddenly finds interest in the tiles of the workshop’s floor.
