Hey there everyone, I know there’s been a lot of concern about COVID-19, and people have been feeling helpless about it; But I’ve recently discovered a way that we can all help; (Other than staying inside, properly washing your hands, keeping a safe distance from others, etc.)

There is a group called Folding@home that was founded by a group of researchers at Washington University in the St. Louis School of Medicine. It uses a distributed network of computers to do a series of complex calculations based around the ways proteins fold, and the proteins of certain diseases such as various types of Cancer, Influenza, ALS, and now COVID-19.

To boil it all down to the basics, all you have to do is download this program onto your computer and let it run in the background, and you’ll be helping the entire world out.

There’s also a team-based competition aspect to the program, where the team with the most ‘points’ is higher on the leaderboard. I have created a team for anyone involved in the “Humans are Space Orcs” fandom (as well as anyone without a team), and the team number is 251634.

I read a post that was effectively a bunch of humans in an alien crew pooled their money together to buy their captains gun back. The gun had been his dad's, and had a lot of sentimental value. Before being given the gift, it was considered an insult to give someone a present.

I want to find it, but I can't. If someone knows who wrote it, that would be enough.
