sincere delight briefly takes hold of facial expression in response, painted lips curving upwards as the words embolden her pride before composure is quickly regained. the golden shell of the elite   /  her (former?) best friend had been gone for almost a year  &  life had moved forward as it always did. the earth had continued to move on its axis and a new queen had risen in her absence           the now far more hardened girl that had been left behind without even a goodbye.

brows arch in momentary confusion that someone who lingers about the brooklyn crowd has the audacity to propose casual conversation with her, darkened hues briefly narrowing with the potential threat to engage in ways of verbal demeaning before the energy quickly evaporates. the loss of her acceptance to the longtime dream of yale university has drained her very essence for the time being, unsure about the daunting path of the future  &  personal aspirations for the first time in her life. the very fact that she had been so immensely naive to not have a backup plan weighs heavy upon shoulders. the crown on her head symbolizing high school status feels made of  cheap plastic.   god could only guess what her minions were currently up to.

❝  i suppose he’s an interesting character.  ❝  a dry response, unable to articulate or allow her mind to dwell on the significance of the boy in question. she had allowed him and her romantic feelings to consume her and had thus allowed herself to be  devoured.    ❝  normally i wouldn’t be seen willingly talking to anyone who is friends with dan humphrey          but considering the complete tragedy that my life has become, it doesn’t even matter anymore.  ❝  persona would not be truly crafted without additional cruel words  /   a winter storm of a girl releasing her ice cold chill even in a state of vulnerability.

the first character i ever fell in love with: blair waldorf really had my heart from the very beginning.

a character that i used to love/like, but now do not: chuck bass lmao. i didn’t actually fully watch gossip girl until this year but when i was younger i saw a few episodes and his relationship with blair is just so ingrained in pop culture that my naive self loved him.

a ship that i used to love/like, but now do not: blair/chuck for the same reasons as above.

the first character i ever fell in love with: i can never remember if it was aria or hanna had my heart first but i’m pretty sure it was the former for a brief period of time because i loved her whole artsy writer aesthetic. then i fell in love with the queen bee type so hanna became my favorite and it stayed that way until i stopped watching around early season three.

a character that i used to love/like, but now do not: i don’t know if i would like hanna that much if i went back to the show today. i loved her in the early seasons quite a bit and i’m sure that would still stand, but she seems rather annoying later on To Be Blunt.
