Sa Wakas Musical - The Farewell Run It was a surprise from my hubby that he bought a VIP ticket for this show. A Love story na I think typical na nowadays? Hmmmm... Ok... Since the show already had their final leg this weekend, I think I can splurge the synopsis of the story. A lOve triangle, well di ba?! Uso na talaga ang ganto sa Pilipinas... A long term relationship between Topper and Lexi, who are of 2 different worlds. Topper, a freelance photographer, was the artistic and spontanous one, while Lexi, a practicing doctor' was the smart one and all are planned and organized kind. So opposite attracts in short. But! Eto na nga syempre yung third wheel since love triangle nga right? Here comes Gab. Typical nga, so office/ work love affair! (F! May hugot. Chareng!) The story runs how Topper and Lexi started and how they endured and savor moments they've shared in their relationship until it went dry and chaotic. Where Topper chose to be weak and hurt Lexi in exchange for his comfort zone which he found with Gab. Gab is the complete opposite of Lexi a lifestyle magazine artist. Very spontanous, outgoing and somewhat the female version of Topper. But it didn't worked out since they've started at a wrong foot. So here's the twist, the play was plotted in a baliktad way. The story began with Lexi contacting again Topper to catch up after they've parted ways and the story went on pabalik pano sila nag-away, naghiwaly ni Gab and Topper and so on pabalik! The play was plotted artistically(yes! May pa artisitcally, lol!) Songs from Sugarfree were played to go with the play here are some of what I remembered: ▶️ Tulog Na ▶️ Kwarto ▶️ Dear Kuya ▶️ Hari ng Sablay ▶️ Prom ▶️ Kwentuhan ▶️ Mariposa What made me really appreciated the play was because SugarFree/ Ebe Dancel's songs were a big part of me and my husband's love story... Yiiii! Especially Tulog na, it was the very first song that we considered na love song namen yessss! Harot! And Kwarto as well when we broke up huhuhubels but nit for good lol! It was a great experience and I feel very tita hahaha adulting be like... we are noq fond of musicals huh! Anyways the show was great and Pepe Herrera and the cast was amazing!

🍔🍔HIGHTIDE BISTRO🍔🍔
We had our pre-cana seminar in Antipolo City ast November 11, 2018… so when the speaker told us that we need to have our lunch very quick and need to return in the venue immeduately. We inly have 45minutes to eat our lunch.
So the fiance and I went on the road and looked for a place to eat.. since we don’t know where’s the nearest jollibee or mcdo we went on and drive, we came across this small restaurant just below Figaro at the right side of the Rotonda in Antipolo.
Hightide Bistro :) place is so unique and comfy, all in all the ambience is so relaxing, theme of the restaurant is beach side.
Inside the restaurant is a fish spa corner :) 🐟🐟🐟 for FREE :) * i really enjoyed it actually.
I ordered their Pork belly and rice. It tastes very good and the meat is so tender.. I asked for vinegar because it’s a good combination with it :)
My fiance had their Pork Tonkatsu, which he really enjoyed. It comes with cabbage strjps and cucumber sticks.
All in all their food was great and the price speaks for it’s serving and taste.
You can also write to leave a message in their mirror they provide neon pentels as well ;)
If you are looking for a place to eat in Antipolo, you can try it here in Hightide Bistro :)

PANDIN LAKE ADVENTURE
It was a gloomy Tuesday morning but we decided to push through, despite of the fact that there are only 2 of us who decided to pursue. Well nature don’t miss the chance to amaze us, the rain gave us an extra feels of happinness when swimming in the 70-130 feet lake. But when we reached the other end of the lake the mighty sun showed up! Whew! So much fun and nature love.
This destination is so easy to go to. Here is our simple info to help reaching Pandin Lake:
-Take a bus from Buendia going to Lucena (127php) and ask to drop you at SM San Pablo.
-From SM San Pablo ride a jeep going to Bayan/Simbahan (7php)
-From Bayan/Simbahan ride another jeep going to Ilog, drop off at Pandin Lake entrance (7php)
From the drop off there is a 15-20mins hike going to the lake proper…. then go ahead and enjoy! :)

Calderon and Guevaras XP Had a sumptous meal since it's our hs buddy's birthday, she chose to dine here at the cozy, carinderia/fine dining themed restaurant, just a few blocks away from the busy street of c5 along Bagong Ilog. Every part of the menu is unique. But the one that caught my attention is the chocolate coated chicharon, it can go along but just for a try. All in all, it was delicious worth the visit and the try. 😀

Mt. Pulag #thecoldneverbotheredusanyway
Our saga of finding the sea of clouds begins here. Straight from office shift we traveled way up north in Bangued. Started to pitch our tents the moment we reached the ranger camp from the zigzag and “buwis buhay” jeepney ride to the camp.
At 4pm in the afternoon we already feel the coldness..we are cold people already we are used to it! Char! We managed to fight the 8deg temp by drinking some liquor and make us feel sleepy at exactly 1am we started to trek up to basecamp 1 and 2 all the way up to the summit.
This trek is so memorable since we are 10 in the group and the 5 of us got lost and walking out of nowhere and with deep edges around at 3 in the morning. We finally reached back to our track and step up to the summit seconds before the sunrise. The view was to awesome that I wanted to stay there though the temp was already 3degrees.
So amazed with the sunrise and the sea of clouds so thankful that was able to witness such kind of God’s magnificent creation.

Aray-Not (Arayat) - Mount Arayat Pampanga
Originally we planned to hike Mt. Pinatubo but unfortunately the trail to Pinatubo was closed due to Army exercised so we planned to have a detour to somewhere near the vicinity since we traveled far already. equipped with 1 liter of water each we braved the nearest mountain we can climb up to which was Mt. Arayat (LLA: 15.20° N 120.742° E, 1030 MASL Days required / Hours to summit: 1 day / 4 hours Specs: Minor climb, Difficulty 3/9, Trail class 3)
We were not that prepared with the sun gracing us as we moved up at 8:00 AM so we ran out of water gladly there were concerned hikers as well who gave us water in the middle of our tiring hike. Upon reaching the summit, felt so awsome for reaching my first peak ever! Of course never forgot to shout our famous line of “WALANG FOREVER!”

Cagbalaturrrr
Overnight trip to Quezon province where we found a sanctuary for lonely hearts. haha! White beach, serene environment and far away from the busy world. We took the lone resort at the far north part of the island, we were supposedly to pitch a tent but opted to rent a mini nipa so we can leave our stuff locked. There’s not a lot of water activities to do here but to island hop and dip in the serene waters, but nonetheless enjoyed the place since it is so peaceful and relaxing plus the seafood available for free cooking here was so cheap that I was able to eat though I’m allergic but it was too fresh and I escaped the allergy attack. All in all Cagbalete is a must visit place in Quezon if you need to find inner peace and relaxation :)

Bolinaohits (Random #teamwalangforever getaway)
Our much needed escape from reality, everyone was too exhausted with our office life and decided to get out the city. Took the bus from Cubao going to Bolinao proper, while 4 of our friends drove their way and got lost hahahaha! Reached Bolinao around 5 in the morning and waited for our adventurous friends until 9 am since they got lost in the middle of nowhere hahahha! We fired up our getaway by visiting the Cape Bolinao then the Enchanted Cave where a cold natural pool lies, feels like I want one on my own.
After the mini tour we head to the beach and drink our hearts out and waited for the sunset rolling with white sand beach. Shouting our hearts out “WALANG FOREVER”

Birthday INDOCHINA trip Part 3
Last stop! Vietnam! Took a sleeper bus for the 12 hour ride to Ho Chi Minh. wew! We survived, we only have a day here to spend so we just put our bags down in our hostel and head to the Ben Tan Market for some goodies and look for the nearby Mcdonalds! hahahah! We need something new from the Mcdo store hahahha! took the chance to eat street foods and drink with the Saigon Beer w/c is another treasure ‘cause it would only cost around 12PHP hahaha! we didn’t sleep much for the next day since we need to pack our things up and we would be heading back to MNL in the evening. Spent half day with the WW2 museum, Notre Dame Cathedral and their walkable city, we only took the bus going to the airport and back at the hotel, but for most of the day we just walked. It feels like Europe in Vietnam since based on our research they were colonized by European countries the reason why the architecture and design of the city was frenchy feels.

Birthday INDO-CHINA Trip Part 2
After 6 hours of darkness since we took the taxi from BKK to Aranphayet as early as 2:00 AM finally we reached the border, it was smooth for us since we were the first human beings in the border to pass and have our stamps. After the long ride we took the connecting taxi ride to Siem Reap, (TIP: I booked early for the transfers from BKK to Siem Reap so it was an easy peasy ride for us normally it would take 10-12 hours bus ride to Siem Reap.) We were welcomed in the hostel we found online were there was a mini restaurant, a pool and an ample room for us.
We rested for the day and dipped into the pool and took our dinner and lunch with Cambodian burger. We waited for our very generous and kind tuktuk driver to take us to the Pub Street where we targeted to have the happy pizza and eat the oowwyyy and geezzzyyy crickets or spiders whatever there is. lol!
Our expectations with the happy pub street and the happy pizza was beyond what we expected hahahah! we went home laughing and very glad since the beer here would only cost around 18-20PHP, see! how much happiness we can get plus the happy pizza made us really happy.
Earliest in the morning we head to the famous Angkor Wat for the sunrise, now we know why it so famous, It was truly amazing and magical when I witnessed the sunrise at the back of the temple reflecting in the pond in front of it.
After the sunrise we took our breakfast and lunch at the nearby tents in Angkor Wat wher ewe tried their local foods which tastes like “sinigang” here in PH but with coco milk, nonetheless the taste was promising. After that we took our way to the other 3 temples: Bayon Temple, Phonm Bakheng and in Phnon Krom where we waited now for the sunset, it took as a 15 minutes hike up the mountain for the sunset together with the beautiful temple.

Bangkok, Thailand Birthday wander. This is a 6-day Indo-China trip that we made. A DIY trip with my "to go" friends. 1st stop: Bangkok Day 1 -Checked in at our backpackers' hotel Link Corner hostel a 2 minute walk from the airport link station at Rachaprarop. -Temple hopping: Grand Palace, Temple of the Emerald Buddha. After the temple hopping decided to go to Khao San Road for thrift finds.
Day 2: Floating Market: It was a bit of a disappointment since it was a long drive from the city, it took us 2-3 hours to reach the Floating Market, but the stores were not yet open and there were only few vendors that were roaming around the river. Traffic was terrible going back to the city.
During the night time we head to the night market around the malls near our hostel.
Indeed a very tiring 2 days in BKK, we need to get back at the hostel to have a little rest since we are going to Cambodia border and time of departure was at 2:00 AM since it was a 6 -8 hours drive to Aranphayet border entry to Cambodia.

Baguio-Panagbenga One of the "fiestas" that is celebrated in PH. Sea of people, flowers and culture comes into one event. My first time to witness the event and I need to wake up as early as 2:00 am to secure a good spot in the streets where the floats and street dancing would pass. Indeed a tiring but worthwhile experience. A cultural show and art in one parade and a thrift shop at the middle of Session road at night plus the cool breeze of the city.
