“I don’t think fashion goals means what you think it means.” Not that Barney was an authority on fashion. The opposite in actuality. Buuuut... “Because red leather on red leather sounds more like a safe phrase than a smart outfit decision.”  He repeated the little saying a couple of times. Just to get a feel for the words on the tongue. “Red leather on red leather. Red leather on red leather. Yeah, maybe not. Too wordy.”

Pause for brief, quiet reflection.

“You’re right about the hair though. It’s the curls. It’s always the curls.”

Introducing Barnaby ‘Barney’ Song.

❛ DANIEL HENNEY ❜ ― BARNABY SONG, the 39 year old MEMBER has been coming to the Island since JANUARY, 2016. HE is said to be a HETEROFLEXIBLE MALE, and tends to be DECISIVE & DAUNTLESS, but also IMMORAL & INSOUCIANT. They have shown a love for VOYEURISM & SADOMASOCHISM, but absolutely hate BATHROOM PLAY & MARKING.

Hey guys. I’m Sam. This is Barney. You know the drill. Read up on what I have sorted for him so far and message me if you have any ideas or stories or tips or hints. All that good stuff.

Background.

Haven’t exactly figured out the finer details but there should be enough here to get an idea behind the man.

Military service is ingrained in his genetic code. Barnaby, along with his two other brothers Wolfgang and Mathias, were conceived and born on Camp Casey, South Korean. His father, David Song, was a Captain in the United States Army, stationed at the camp. His mother,  Seo-hyeon Song, was a  Dongducheon local before marrying David.

While David encouraged his sons to follow in his footsteps and enlist for military service, the pressure to actually go through with it lessened when the Song family returned to San Diego, USA. Wolfgang, the eldest, went the medical route, eventually becoming a surgeon. Mathias, the youngest, went the financial route, becoming an accountant. In the end it was only Barney that enlisted for military service.

Barney joined the Army branch of the military. Upon completion of his second tour of Iraq, he joined the 75th Ranger Regiment. Barnaby had reached the rank of Sergeant Major when he joined Delta Force.

It was during his time serving with Delta that Barnaby became disenfranchised with the military in general. He doesn’t -- nor will he ever -- go into it in further detail but he lost any and all sense of patriotism.

Instead, he left the military (honorably) along with the rest of his sabre squadron. They would eventually go on to form Blacksite Services, offering training, consultation and other services to the larger Private Military Contractors.

He shows signs of post traumatic stress but refuses to acknowledge it as such. And in order to somehow counteract the psychological and emotion trauma he has sustained during his tenure with the military, he leads a fast, hedonistic and possibly lethal lifestyle. It’s the reason why he visits the Island so often. He is able to indulge in the Island’s amenities away from the judgment of society.

Possible Connections and Plots.

These are just suggestions. Probably work on em as I go along.

The Squadron -- There are two other members of Barnaby’s former Delta Force squadron which also make up Blacksite Services. They will be close-knit friends. Basically brothers. They’ve bleed and killed for each other and will do so again. Must be male and 30-45 years old.

The Song Brothers -- Barnaby has two other brothers. One older, one younger. They don’t necessarily have to be the occupations given in the background but they aren’t military. Their names aren’t set in concrete either but they have to be weird sounding. I like the aesthetic. Obviously male. Of Asian (Korean) descent.

Former/Future Client -- Blacksite don’t strictly deal with Private Military Contractors. If you have the money, they’re more than willing to help out with whatever problem you have. Maybe you’re a former client? Maybe not entirely satisfied with the job? Perhaps you’re a former client with another job lined up for him? Maybe someone entirely new.

Recruiter -- Barnaby is highly trained and skilled -- well over six figures dropped into his training and education. Maybe you’re looking to take him from his company? Maybe to work for a rival PMC? Maybe buy Blacksite Services outright? Maybe for the government?

Center of Infatuation -- Barnaby has an addictive, obsessive personality. Maybe he becomes addicted to you? He becomes obsessed with you? Would make stripping/escorting difficult with a former Black-Ops operative wanting you for himself? Hard to relax with that kinda presence hanging about.
