hiiiiiiii!!! long time no see. i haven't been posting too much while i was finishing the game i was working on. BUTTTTT we just had our curse of strahd finale!!!! a beautiful little capstone on my first ever campaign and a 4 YEAR LONG cos campaign. so i wanted to celebrate by doing a redraw of one of the other ICONIC portraits in the game with the blue man himself! happy four years. i love my players and it was the biggest honor to dm for you. my brainrot will not end with the game though, im immediately diving back in to dming an oops all npc curse of strahd game so lets GO ILL NEVER LEAVE!!! YOU CANT PULL ME OUT!!!

I'm so glad my players finally got to meet Ezmeralda! It was a very positive meeting, and since they didn't do anything to upset her at the beginning (who knows, knows) it could be the beginning of a very nice relationship And she joined the party (along with a new player, a certain powerful paladin!) so their power level increased a lot!

I had wanted to participate in the Curse of Strahd Memento Mori zine, and then had to leave due to just being SO busy. I believe this was holiday season last year and was just overwhelmed with work and family event planning! I wanted to depict the Martikov family so bad - they were really important in my campaign I had ran years and years ago! I found this sketch while cleaning up some files so have a bad WIP. Brom is asking an adventurer about their axe instead of serving dinner!

🌻 Doru Donavich \\ Vampire Spawn of Strahd & (very confused) Cleric of the Morning Lord 🌻

❗️ Curse of Strahd Spoilers❗️

So, my party adopted Doru after freeing him from the basement. They chased him into the roof of the church while his father was… helping give a sermon for another party members funeral. Half the party was trying to get Doru down while the other half distracted Donavich (and crying due to their dead friend). Eventually, he was offered blood, which got him down.

After several harrowing experiences later, a near TPK proved his worth in the eyes of the Morning Lord. He’s been given a last chance, and he knows he can’t waste it. He’s afraid he’ll be taken back by Strahd, but he trusts the Morning Lord’s new given power will help him evade being controlled again.

Also, he’s Ismark’s boyfriend. Sunshine child.

To whoever pointed out that the spirits that raise in the graveyard at night are the friends and community he lost while fighting Strahd, how dare you. I can’t stop thinking about that now. I’m going to cry, and I can’t tell my party why yet, because they haven’t gone out there at night. The last time they did that, one of them died to Strahd. That’s a story for another time though.

Oh, also…. Old old baby boy art from like 2 years ago when I first started DMing Strahd. I need to give him back his grey eyes.

god I laughed so hard while I was reading the Yester Hill chapter because when I read the description of the giant twig statue for some reason I imagined it having a round head and then two stupid little twig fangs and the cape and suddenly in my mind it was just a 50-foot statue of the Count from Sesame Street

just imagine Strahd showing up and these druids being like "LOOK WE MADE YOU A STATUE :D" and him like, "........................ (deception check) yeah thanks looks great guys."
