Took a ballet class for the first time in over a decade and I cannot stress this enough—growing older is letting go of shame and the fear of looking silly so you can go back to doing all the things your twelve year old self would have thought were cool

Barre w/ me 💗🩰✨
Been out of the studio for two months working through a back injury. Not being able to dance has been absolutely gut-wrenching, but we do what we must.
The company sent me flowers yesterday and get well soon card, and I bawled til I thought I’d throw up.
So grateful for a community that keeps me in mind when I’m not there, and I hope to be back with them soon💗🩰✨
