Content is King
I keep hearing that ‘Content is King’ but is that really true?
My personal opinion is that it is almost true, no matter how great the content is the true value lies within the commercialisation!
So many great publications go to the wall, not because the editorial are not doing a terrible job or that the content is not attracting an audience.
No - I’ve seen some fantastic publications and hear that we have X amount of circulation or X amount of page views but the sad reality is that they fold because the content is not been commercialised to it's full potential.
There are lots of new platforms and many different revenue streams, but great content is still at the core of attracting users.
So I believe 'Content is King' as long as it been commercialised!
