Alright so after binging TOTE I'm definitely changing up my verses for Barriss but also going slightly canon divergent.

"Are you done?" She asked shutting her lightsaber off before putting it on her back and making her way to the other and kneeling down to begin healing him. "Before my turn I was a Jedi healer, please be still."

Starkiller stared at barriss....."so ..... You're the new one hmm?"

Barriss just bowed her head down at other. She felt uncomfortable with everything that was happening. She was glad to be out of prison but now she was actively going against her moral compass.

She wanted to say that she didn't serve anyone but she realized that she has always served someone and even now the empire was using her. "Didn't lump me with these other Inquisitors, I am not like.... Whoa" she spoke, dodging the concrete though it did clip her arm and left a large gash.

She quickly leapt off the block giving her air to do an aerial attack, using the force to push him again before coming in with a kick.

She looked at him, trying to calculate anything she could about how he attacked, of course she was mostly versed in Form III which was defensive in nature which is what she naturally fell back on while fighting but she saw the need to attack and attack aggressively, especially if she was going to be an Inquisitor, or at least until she could slip away from the Empire.

Barriss glared up at him before making a move to strike before she used the force to push him, going to knock him off balance and get him on the ground. "Just making this interesting." She sneered.

Barriss anticipated that he'd attempt a lunge at her, something that she'd attempt to do if she was on the winning end of a battle, which led Barriss to realize that she wasn't on the winning end. That wasn't to say Barriss wasn't a bad fighter in fact she was the opposite but she was also unprepared for this battle.

Barriss barely had time to block the incoming attack. She wasn't expecting anything of the sort to happen and the sparks definitely distracted her for a split second. Force pushing herself away she took her fighting stance as a grimace took hold of her face. "Alright fights on." She sneered.

"Forehand, even when duel wielding I use forehand for both." She confirmed, drawing her new blade from her back. It would take some serious getting used to for her to use a double-bladed saber.

"Barriss." She spoke meekly. There was something about that didn't settle right with Barriss about him. "I did, I framed her to show the Republic what the Jedi order had become. I became so disillusioned with them it just felt right."

Guys Tales of the Empire! We finally find out what happens to Barriss, though if she dies my Barriss will canonically live.

So I've been thinking about what Barriss does after Order 66, she'd have to lay low and obviously would live on an outer rim planet, probably living off a forged chain code to allow her travel without hassle. Being a healer would be too obvious, as a Mirialan echo looks similar enough to her and heals people would bring too much attention, no so in my AU she works as a server in some fairly seedy establishment, something that the Empire wouldn't expect a former Jedi to be doing as they aren't that smart.

"Can I get you anything to drink, it would be impolite to not offer." She spoke as she readied herself some caf.

"Well I'm glad that you found me, it's good that at least someone I knew is still alive. I don't think Master Unduli made it, we were on Kashyyyk, and we were shot down and separated. I eventually had to flee before I could find her." She admitted, it was one thing Barriss often regretted, not finding her master. "I assume since you're alone Master Skywalker didn't make it either?"

"It's good to see you again, a lot has happened." She spoke, unsure of the situation. "We should get off the streets, we can discuss more in my home " she commented, looking at her with a friendly smile, something that wasn't common for her since Order 66.

Guess I love this art of Barriss and definitely those is her outfit post Order 66 as she definitely doesn't look like a Jedi.

Barriss quickly shut the door behind them as they entered her home after leading the way for a few minutes. After entering she removed her cloak and hood, revealing her short hair, and simple black outfit underneath. "So what brings you to the planet? We don't get very many visitors in twin, they mainly stay around the spaceports." Barriss admitted, grabbing a couple cups. "Caf?" She inquired

"It's good to see you again, a lot has happened." She spoke, unsure of the situation. "We should get off the streets, we can discuss more in my home " she commented, looking at her with a friendly smile, something that wasn't common for her since Order 66.

"Interesting that I never noticed it before when performing my healing duties on the clones." She spoke as she listened to him. Being a healer on the front lines that was typically her duty, healing sick and injured clones quicker than the medics could. Eventually they made it to her little cottage on the outskirts of the village she was hiding at. It wasn't tiny but wasn't too large either, enough for one or two people to live comfortably. "I fled here from Coruscant, it's outer rim where the Empire doesn't really have too much of a presence, and it has no relation to me whatsoever so they won't come here looking for me here." She spoke shutting the door behind him. That may have been the case but she still preferred to be cautious.

"The clones killed my master, and the other Jedi." Barriss commented, her lightsaber ignited and ready. She wasn't prone to huge emotional outbursts, the Jedi had taught her how to control her emotions but she felt like a dam about to burst forth all her emotions at once. "We considered you as allies....as friends. So get to explaining." She'd let him speak but she refused to lower her lightsaber.

"Oh the 501st." She nodded, she had to think but then remembered slightly about a clone who had been captured. "Well anyway, follow me off the streets it's not safe for either of us." Barriss had to assume that if he wasn't with the 501st or the Empire anymore then he would probably be just like her, on the run from them.

"Wait wait wait!"

Barriss looked down to the prosthetics that he had. She hadn't ever seen a clone with them before, still the fact that he mentioned Tambour she was still cautious. "So were you a defector, working for the Separatists?" She didn't think that he was but she could never be too cautious. Still even if he hadshe couldn't hold it against him, the Republic had been failing and she knew it had been bad enough some of the clones had to have seen it as well if she could see it.
