          his gaze falls into his fumbling fingers, lip twitching to a frown as shame and regret wash all over him. he liked kit, the man was always nice to him and he surely didn’t deserve liam’s bullshit. “ i’m really sorry, darlin’ ” the cop sighs as a hand finds its way on top of kit’s, gently squeezing before pulling back. “ just haven’t had a drink in a bit, that’s all —  none of your fault. ”

                     well, gee, how can he stay mad after an apology like that? so he tries to bite back his smile, failing miserably, and eyes peek up at him again. “ ‘s alright. i’ll get your drink so you won’t yell at me again. ” and with that he moves away, pouring him a drink before he gently nudges it to the other side of the bar for him. “ i think you’re starting to come here more often. is it for me or the booze? ”

Steve pushed the shirt even further up, trying to get it out of Kit’s body. He knew the effect he had on his boyfriend. They were already very physical, being away didn’t help in this situation. Steve didn’t think he could get his hands away from Kit. He liked the way Kit bit on his lip and moaned in pleasure, against his lover’s lips. “Or we go somewhere where we’re impossible to reach to NOT be cut short by one.”

he bites at his lip again, smirking and returning a soft moan into his mouth. “you’d be alright with that?” he moves just enough that he can pull his shirt over his head, leaving his torso bare. then with a wider smirk, he moves, pulling at steve’s towel until it’s completely loose and dropping to the floor. teasingly he licks his lips, lust burning into his eyes as he gazes at him.

“A captain, actually - off duty though, you’ll be pleased to know. Some’s still better than nothing at all, however insignificant they feel right now. You mind if I keep you company? I can get you another drink.” 

“ oooh an army man. can never refuse a soldier’s request. ” he grins slyly, nudging his chair just the slightest bit closer. “ another drink is something i DEFINITELY can’t refuse, but i wouldn’t say it’s required. ”

Steve replied to the kiss wholeheartedly, hand cupping his boyfriend’s cheek. He had missed those in their time apart. They were finally together and Steve was rather excited. His hands moved to Kit’s shirt. Pushing the hem up and feeling the abs he longed for. “I missed you too.”

                  he hums against his lips, breath quicker and arms moving to wrap around his neck in one fluid motion. the warm hands against his skin, calloused and grounding, is enough to comfort him. fuck, he’d missed this too. he can feel his skin beginning to warm at the attention, and he nips at steve’s bottom lip gently, not so innocently pressing towards him. “ we need a vacation soon — even if it’s cut short by a mission. ”

Steve wasn’t surprised by the extent of Kit’s embrace and he liked it as he had missed his boyfriend this entire time. He held Kit just as tightly, not hurt one second by Kurt’s movement. Steve was strong, this wouldnt hurt him in any way. “I’m here now and we have time for ourselve. Not going anywhere  any time soon,” he promised.

without a moment’s hesitation, he’s leaning up. lips are desperate and seeking out steve — as if to reassure that they were both here. that steve wasn’t still away on a mission and that kit hadn’t been sucked into both his mutant training and work. “ i missed you so much. ” he murmurs against his lips, shaky and unnerved.

“i think you’re right. itstarted snowing when i got up this morning but now it’s coming downmore. glad we ran into town yesterday as we could be snowed in for afew days.”

                        “ i’m excited! i’ve never seen this much snow before. ” not to mention that despite the already burning fire and hoodie he has pulled on, goosebumps still raise on kit’s arms, and he quickly moves to burrow against grant’s chest — clinging to him where they stand.
