Hello anon who asked about the recasting back again im glad to know that they don't change actors unless totally nessessary, cause my only knowledge of soap opera before getting into emmerdale was days of our lives and I remember loving the 2010-14 actor that played Will and then one episode they just had another guy come into a scene and go hello im Will. Only to kill Will off and then do some insane sl about how actually he's not dead 2 years later so they could bring back to 2010 actor. They also had a guy who played a character named Ben and then when his character departed with his wife and child they just reused the actor to play an entirely different character named Alex and wasn't even a oh amnesia he thinks he's this person or brainwashing they just went here he's Alex now who was also part of a legacy family and had had actors play him before, and i don't know how it's going to work now cause I read an article about how the wife (and maybe the son) of his original character are coming back (idk fr how long) but like are they just gonna be like yeah we got a divorce and he's not around anymore he left me (which absolutely insane cause they were a massively popular ship) or are they just gonna be like here he Ben again. So I am very glad to hear that they aren't as quick to jus re cast over in British soaps

nothing that hasn't been said before or more cleverly but, setting the robron of it all aside, it makes me desperately sad for aaron to think he's choosing something healthy and safe and good for him when john only loves the victim in him. the broken and needful and "perfect". aaron thinks he's choosing the healing path but john's only interested in aaron getting that if john gets to be the healer. aaron actually healing is secondary, if not completely prohibitive to that. it's such a heartbreaker for this man who's worked so hard to find health, love, and happiness for him to have been lured off away from them by a false light

"...unlike his last husband" is such a sick line. john dangling the life he's living with robert's loved ones in front of him, fresh off of aaron confronting robert about the divorce, the radio silence, liv. and you can see robert retreat into himself just as vic said he did before. and john just sticks the knife in further. they're finally let john exist in the story and it is so fucking good.
