We thought going single piece vs single piece would be an interesting take. We think the 2021 Maxum Ultra is an underrated bat. It swings light, has a huge barrel, feels great, and is one of our favorites. In fact, maybe my personal favorite. The single-piece Goods is also a good bat too. Heavier swing than the Maxum, but can do serious damage to the right type of hitter (which is a big guy with a strong swing). Here's the data we talk about in the video. You'll need to download the data if you want to manipulate it to your liking. As we say, lots of ways to slice and dice it. https://ift.tt/2ImYoAP We don't have the time to moderate the comments here. We take the new 2021 Rawlings Quatro and the DeMarini CF in the Cage for some head to head exit speed tests. The datasheet, as we talk about in the video, can be found here: https://ift.tt/3kojdJ5 Both bats are very similar. Big barrels, light swings, pretty soft connection pieces. Cleary high performers. Here is our full CF Review: https://ift.tt/3nev3XU If you have any comments on the video, please reach out to us on IG, FB @batdigest, or directly by email: [email protected].

It has taken us months to get this up and running, but it's finally ready to go! This is the exact way that certifications like BBCOR and USSSA test their bats---with a ball cannon. We show you the ins and outs and give a peek at what's to come for our reviews and data collection in the future. We also compare the new Axe Avenge and Marucci CAT 9 Connect in USSSA in a 30/20. This is a work in progress for us and dialing in the ball cannon perfectly takes some time and effort. We are getting better and expect to improve on our data as we continue capturing exit speeds dependent upon barrels only. Have a comment or question, we'd love to hear from you. Send us a note at [email protected].

here we compare the 2021 Easton B5 vs a 1980/1990 (We can't tell) B5. The BBCOR 2021 is a 33/30 and the Old School B5 is a 32/28. Yes, a drop 4. Weird. But fun. Links: 2021 B5 Review: https://ift.tt/2FGGurf Buy the B5 @ Dicks Sporting Goods: https://ift.tt/2FHaZ0b The Raw Data from The High School Hitters: https://ift.tt/3mzp6p6 These are completely different types of bats--although kind of the same too. The performance/compression on the B5 from days gone by is much lower. We'd love to hear from you on if you have questions or commetns on this video or the B5 in general. We took the 2021 Louisville Slugger META PWR and META in head to head exit speeds. We compared both bats on 180 hits from two different hitters. Here's a link to the data from our hitting: https://ift.tt/3mkSC1y The META PWR is one of the heaviest swinging BBCOR bats on the planet. The question is, how does swing weight affect exit speeds. In a cage, it is really hard to tell the difference---because heavy swinging bats almost always win. We spent a LOT of time with the 2021 Victus Nox to write this review. Several hitters took hacks and we did some basic exit speeds. In full disclosure, Victus sent us this bat to review. You can more details on our experience on our Victus Nox Review: https://ift.tt/3auMBtz In short, we really like the NOX and think it will do really well in the industry. It was surprisingly light---because we expected an endload. But, its pretty average for 33" BBCOR bats. Also, here's Victus product page to buy (affiliate): https://shrsl.com/2f5qo Amazon has it for sale too (affiliate): https://amzn.to/3g4kcvA *****Comments******* If you have a comment about this video or any other bat type thing feel free to reach out to us directly by email at [email protected]. Warning, there is no hitting in this video, just some answers and explanations about the 2021 The Goods. But, the good news, the bat is all but the same for 2021 as it is for 2020. The only differences are the paint job and the price. We discuss them and the history of the Voodoo/Goods barrel in this 2021 DeMarini Goods Preview Review Since DeMarini dropped some information this week about the 2021 The Goods dropping soon, we've been hammered with questions about the 2021 The Goods vs the 2020 The Goods. This video compromises what we know and what we've been able to gather. We've fielded dozens of questions on the 2021 The Goods over the last few days. This video is to answer and explain the 5 things we know about the 2021 The Goods. After 2400+ hits, we determine the 'best' DeMarini Voodoo ever. You can see the full results as well as the dataset here: https://ift.tt/3ihgb8N We took every BBCOR DeMarini Voodoo since 2011, including the Goods, and we put them in a head to head bracket. The winners were determined by exit speeds after 30 hits v 30 hits with 3 different players. In total, we had over 2400 hits. The winner? The 2016 DeMarini Voodoo Raw. The 2013 had a better total average exit velocity. But, like the electoral college, the Raw had more people win with it. In any event, we learned that BBCOR bats haven't changed much and the Voodoo bats of years gone by are fantastic. We'd recommend all of them at the right price. *********Comments************* Have a thought about our video or want to give some feedback? Maybe you just want to talk bat shop. If you ever want to know why you don't see us on the marketing feed of a company's Instagram accounts, here you go. 😂😂😂😂 What do you want us to do? Lie? Make up numbers? Now, let's walk it back a bit. We're sure there are some people out there who can do well with the Baum bat. There's definitely a contingent of hitters that need a wood bat, but don't want it to break. That's where the Baum bat is a great fit. As well, if you're an elite hitter, like DIV I Level kind of player, it might be a good challenge against us normal folks. But, if you're otherwise normal to above-average high school/BBCOR hitter, we think its more than possible you won't like the Baum bat for an in-game bat. BP? Cold Weather? Practice Bat? Sure. Maybe. It will last you forever, no doubt. We'd like to see these bats outperform their peers more than anyone. (Save, maybe the company who makes them). Finding diamonds in the rough is what we do. But, we don't buy hype, never have. We've been doing this too long to be impressed by bats with expert level, adult hitters, taking kid's bats 400+ feet. But, That does not translate to the normal 14 to 17-year-old BBCOR players around the country. Great hitters can make broomsticks sing. But, normal, every day, average hitter's will prefer two-piece composite, hybrid or single-piece aluminum and composite bats. We bought that RIP-IT bat for $35 on ebay. It's a monster. Don't believe us? Go buy one yourself on this link (affiliate): https://ift.tt/2Xf5Y4L ********Comments************ Have a comment about the video or other general questions? We took some hacks with the DNGR from Dirty South and, by request on our @batdigest Instagram account, compared its exit speeds to the Legendary Louisville Slugger Meta. Turns out, results real close. Although the hitter preferred the feel of the 2020 Meta. We also found, surprising, the DNGR has a noticeably heavier swing weight than the META. **********Bat Links************* 2020 Meta BBCOR: https://amzn.to/3hx4eLw (Affiliate) BBCOR DNGR Dirty South Bats: https://ift.tt/2Ed8iT4 ***********Reviews************** 2020 Meta Review: https://ift.tt/2ON4kmb 2020 BBCOR DSB Reviews: https://ift.tt/2CwWavL *********Comments************* Have a comment on the video? Here we compare the Warstic Bonesaber vs the Hawk 2 in 33-inch BBCOR. This is another version of Daddy Hacks. Note, some of the numbers in the video might change due if we were to change lengths (like, to the 32-inch). Both bats perform well. The Hawk 2 should be considered end-loaded. The Bonesaber is on the heavier side of balanced (or lighter side of end-loaded). Comparatively, it swings a bit heavier than the Slugger Select PWR. All in all, we liked the Bonesaber better due to the handle and a bit lighter swing weight. It performs as well as any good BBCOR bat out there and, for the right hitter (someone who wants a single piece bat that swings a bit heavier than balanced), could be a great pick. The Hawk 2 is meant for big hitters and has an enload as big as any BBCOR bat. ********Affiliate Links********* Bonesaber: https://ift.tt/3eO2fkl Hawk 2: https://ift.tt/3eO2fkl ********Bat Digest Write-Ups************ Comparison: https://ift.tt/39l61ka Warstic Bonesaber Review: https://ift.tt/2WLs3HC ********Comments************ Got a comment on the video or question about something else?
