Mike wheeler does NOT owe anyone his feelings. If Mike ultimately does not have feeling for will, he’s not a the bad guy. Same goes for eleven if he loses/never had feeling for her

“But he’s the asshole for staying with el if he doesn’t even love her!! That’s leading her on!” Just because you are so sure of his sexuality doesn’t mean he is. He is a fresh 15 year old in the 80s. He grew up with absolutely no rolemodels (his parents were barely holding on, Karen literally was at the door about to go cheat on her husband) and equally has no queer rolemodels. The closest person is robin, (who despite who you fannonise her as, does NOT have her love life figured out and would have awkward advice) who he has probably said two lines to (or maybe even less). He doesn’t have anyone to confide in or look off of for example and he has no safe space to figure himself out. I can assure you his though process is not “I’m so gay and I don’t love el but I’m going to stay with her. “ it’s something more on the lines of “why is it so awkward for me to say I love you??.”

For will and the byler side of things, if mike doesn’t even end up gay or at least bi… he is not an asshole. He does not owe will his feelings, unlike el they were never under a romantic context and Mike never made any romantic moves or commitments. Yes it will be sad if Mike doesn’t like him back, but only for empathy for will.

Mike does not owe will or anyone his feelings, just his honesty when he figures it all out

Even then the bare minimum is breaking up with el. Still does not owe will anything even if he is gay

Honest to god people that make mikes character entirely mileven/byler and about his sexuality genuinely are more annoying then Mike antis. LET HIM BE HIS OWN PERSON.
