this may very well have been done, maybe more than once, but i'm imagining some universe where everyone actually decides that simon is perfect for wille - like, their peers, wille's parents, the court, random people on the internet - and this makes simon very not interested in the prince. or at least, he tries to not be interested. he doesn't like that everyone's trying to match-make them. he doesn't like feeling like he doesn't get a say in his life. but... wille is making it very hard to stay stubborn about this....
