Get to know your exam
NEET examination is a pan India medical entrance test conducted every year and attended by lakhs of students. You must be knowing this, but to crack such a huge examination, you need to be perfect with the pattern and the syllabus you need to concentrate on. Let us guide you through the exam pattern.
NEET comprises a total of 200 questions, which are segregated subject wise. the subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology. Each subject consists of 35 questions in section A and 15 questions in section B as per the latest exam pattern. Out of 15 questions in section B, you can attempt any 10 questions.
Four marks will be awarded to each right answer and one mark will be deducted for every wrong attempt.

3. Number of attempts Since the upper age limit is 25, a candidate can attempt the NEET exam till he/she is 25 years old. However, the upper age limit is still under the consideration of the honourable Supreme Court of India.
4. Consideration for PWD persons To bring the specially-abled persons into the frontline, the authority has put forwarded some relaxations in marks and age limit for specially-abled persons.

There are three types of counselling a) AIQ or All India Quota All central and deemed universities such as AIIMS, BHU, etc along with 15 per cent seats of all government medical and dental colleges seats will be filled under this process. The exception to this is only the state of Jammu Kashmir and admissions to the colleges in Jammu Kashmir comes under state quota counselling. AIQ counselling will be conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee). b) State Quota counselling This is for the admission to the remaining 85% of government college seats and the private college seats will also be filled with this. The state quota seats are reserved to candidates who belong to that particular state and the candidates from other states are not eligible to participate in this counselling process. The State Quota Counselling will be conducted by the representative of the state government C) Ayush Counselling Counselling for Ayush courses will be conducted by AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC). They will carry out the process of admission for all the Ayush colleges in India including the deemed universities and the 15% of Government, Government aided, Central, Private and National colleges.
