Gaza: the Big Oven in Summer and the Graveyard of Children

Life becomes incredibly unbearable during the summer in the tents as the scorching sun turns the tents into ovens boiling the blood in the veins of the children, women and men. That is not even the worst part. How I wish it were!! The black angel of death roams all around the tents harvesting the souls of thousands of people. Gaza, unfortunately, has turned into an unlivable ghost city; the graveyard of children!

Reblog the fundraisers you mfs!!!!! I don't know why you all skip those to reblog some pic of a banner saying "FREE PALESTINE" or of news from Columbia University! Literally these people from Gaza have made an account on Tumblr and is writing in english to communicate what they need and you all are coming onto my blog or on the tag and not reblogging their posts. We have people both Palestinian and non Palestinian vetting the fundraisers! I mean more the reblogs, more the chance of the fundraisers gaining momemtum, the more there would be a chance of a donation. Please donate if you can and reblog!!! and follow them if it is possible.

@/mohammedayesh has posted about getting leaflets, telling them to evacuate Rafah. They are very low on funds. Go follow them and reblog their posts and donate if possible.

We have @/haneenatya too whose mother is suffering from eye stroke and need to evacuate. Please I have been following them for some days and it doesn't seem their own posts are getting much attention.

Follow them! They are on tumblr. Reblog their posts and donate. The protests in universities are being done on account of them. They should be our focus.

(EDIT: on re-reading my post it seems as if I am dismissing all that the students of universities are doing. I am not. I just meant, since all of it is to help Palestinians, we must not ignore them when they ask for help).

I just saw a Palestinian holding the headless body of a child in Rafah, in front of smoke and flames. This is what the ethno-nationalist ideology of Zionism has lead to. This is what western-backed, racist, genocidal imperialism looks like - a man holding a limp, headless child.

Last night during the Tent Massacre in Rafah, Palestinians couldn't find their injured loved ones and the remains of those who were murdered by the Israeli military. They only had phone flashlights to look for them. Parents were using their bare hands collecting their children's body parts.

Palestinians were trying to put out the fire using sand since the state of Israel cut access to water.

This is genocide.

I'm Aseel Al-Turk, a girl from the beloved Gaza Strip, the place I adore and feel deeply connected to with pride. I spent all 19 years of my life there. I grew up and learned everything in Gaza. I finished high school with distinction, scoring 98%, achieving my dreams and aspirations with dedication and hard work. I entered my dream university in Gaza amidst overwhelming joy and hope for a bright future awaiting me there, but my joy wasn't complete.

In the first days of my university life, war broke out and everything was turned upside down. People were fleeing, souls were searching for a safe haven, while I felt helpless, surrendering to my unknown fate. The war destroyed my university and my homeland.

The destruction stretched as far as the eye could see, with the terrifying sound of bombings and planes filling the sky. There was no safe place, no refuge to escape. I lost my safe home and everything we owned. My dad, our sole breadwinner, couldn't provide for us anymore I lost my beloved dog Rex, and all I have left is my cat Lisa. I lost my uncle and his sons. The war took away my friends and loved ones

I felt powerless and hopeless, but hope never left me. It's what kept me going, facing challenges with courage and determination. I created this link to save my family from this hell, to pursue my dreams outside of Gaza.

Gaza, the city I knew and loved, turned into ruins and rubble. It's nothing but painful memories and shattered dreams now. Schools, universities, hospitals—all destroyed. They took away everything that made us feel safe and stable.

My heart breaks for Gaza, for its people who lost everything in this unjust war. All I'm asking for is my basic rights—to live safely with my family without fear of the next moment or the sound of destructive shells.

My family consists of seven members: my father, mother,my sister (Aman)22 years old , brothers( Mohammed )23 years old ,(Ahmad) 24 years old and the youngest,( Hadi) 16 years old . This is a picture of all of us together at my graduation ceremony, a moment we'll always cherish.

We were recently forced to evacuate for the seventh time from Rafah to Nuseirat. Here is a video of the evacuation.

watch for this as you scroll social media this evening:

israel today dropped a bomb on a refugee camp located in rafah, which, as a reminder, had been sold as a safe zone.

remember that this camp is made of tents, not buildings. this strike was dropped directly on families in the dead of night, with no shelter to protect them. many people have become trapped by the burning tents. we don't have a death toll yet, but it's likely more than 50.

the images coming out from this attack are among the most graphic we have seen out of gaza. do not look them up unprepared.

UPDATE: Sheets for Privacy in North Gaza

Because of the intense bombing of Jabaliya refugee camp in North Gaza, the destroyed homes that people were sheltering continue to lose walls and structure. There is no privacy for Palestinians as they struggle to find safe places to live in the midst of this genocide. To help with this, Mahmoud Abusalama, our friend in North Gaza, distributed sheets for people to put up for privacy.
