So, today, I tested my current physical limits by doing a half distanced triathlon (1.9 km swim, 90 km bike, 21 km run). Having finished with a very satisfactory personal best, and feeling completely beat, it's fair to say I gave it my all and that my training paid off! But the best part was getting to see the best motivators several times throughout the race. I cannot express how much I appreciate my family coming out to support me! Had a fantastic Easter weekend camping by a local lake. It has been a busy and intense year so far, and this trip was a bit of an antidote. We all got to relax in our own ways and together. Between reading in hammocks, bike rides, swimming, and family games, we all enjoyed being outdoors for a few days! Well, almost exactly 2 years to the day after Bethany first had Covid symptoms, I have finally fallen victim of this pandemic as well. Thankfully, I have had 3 vaccine doses, and was convinced it was just a cold till Bethany convinced me to do a home test. So, funny thing, I've been trying to clear out the garage. Instead of throwing out my old board they I bought on eBay almost 20 years ago, I thought I'd sell it for cheap. Apparently, I just sold it to a museum. Yep, my board will be in a museum. Lots of good memories riding it, and now it will be literally be a memory for people to stare at.
