VOMITTING/SICKNESS WARNING!!

if you ever feel like attending camp red moon....do not eat the food

i go to this camp right?? i'm not one to eat public food but the camp director's husband makes the food, i trust him, slightly, this was one of my frist experiences with this food though, i was around 10, so i was new, when i walked into the eating area i was hit with the most nauseating smell, i didn't think much of it because most food places smell nauseating with the mix of the different foods, doesn't smell nice, i just ignored it and went to get my food, i grabbed my plate and the food was slapped onto my plate, the sound it made when it hit it was the complete opposite of pleasent, it was wet and i could feel it weigh down my plate in an unrealistic way, a little too heavy and thick for normal "food", i could hear it slosh, the wetness of the food moving around as it hit my plate, absolutely vile, still, i didnt dare look at my plate yet, i didn't want to hold up the line so i left to go sit down at an empty table, when i looked down i almost vomitted, i had to put my hand over my mouth and swallow in order to stop it from spewing out, the food wasn't even food, it was green and wet and unatural, it was some sort of moss found in the forest, it had to be, it was wet and the texture was a mix of both hard and wet, i scooted the plate away from me as i stood up and backed away from it, i think i started tearing up aswell, i looked around the eating area, i saw the other campers casually talking, laughing, and eating the food, i didn't understand how they could so casually eat it, did theh not notice anything wrong with it? I could see the food stick to their teeth as they chewed, some campers looked at me confused, as if i was the one acting irrationally, i decided to just sit back down and act as if nothing was wrong, i put my arms onto the table and tucked my head inside of them, i then started silently crying, i wanted to go home, (i still do) when i heard lunch was over i never was happier, i sat up, wiped my tears, and was the first one to run out, i was short then so i was fast but i did almost get run over, i tried to go along my day as normal, (if that even exists at this camp) but as i was doing one of my activites i heard someone mention multiple campers vomitting around camp, i brushed it off as some stupid untrue rumor, boy was i wrong, as i walked outside i saw exactly what was described, this disgusting thick vomit was coming out of their mouth, the texture, smell, and look was the exact same as the "food", i could see chunks of the maybe moss in the puke, the color was a dark unatural green, this is a scene that could only happen in movies but it happened, i could feel vomit sneaking up my throat as i watched the others, some were in the forest, some had trash cans, i stood horrified at the scene infront of me, these poor kids projectile vomitting this disgusting thick moss, as if the moss grew inside their stomach over the course of an hour and was just now able to come out, i finally ran towards my cabin and shut the door, thank god the camp is a small and unpopulated one so there were maybe 1 or 2 other campers there, i jumped into my bed and put the covers over me, i then shut my eyes tight and forced myself to fall asleep for the rest of the day, the last thing i heard before sleeping was the sound of a thick gross liquid falling onto the grass
