"Ask and y' shall receive. I got my fair share a' those moments."

"Either I need some food I can chew on or someone's gonna have to be a volunteer. The fangs demand a sacrifice."

"Young? Maybe," the woman huffs, sipping a bit of her drink. "You got no idea how much I've seen. The world's an unrelentin' place." Still, she smiles. It's a sharp, lopsided thing, but real in an odd way. Maybe she's got it figured out.

"And what about you, old man? Expect the worst, hope fer the best, hmm?" She rests her elbow on the counter and her cheek in her hand. "Ya look like you've seen a whole lot yourself."
