This was gonna be my Make A Terrible Comic Day submission, but I let my demons (perfectionism) take hold and now it's not terrible enough. I will make something more in the spirit of the day later this evening.
I'd initially thought of making this a big, all encompassing discussion of my entire breast aug experience like my one year HRT comic, but Spell X Sword takes most of my comic time, and frankly it just sounded tiring to make. Have the bullet points with some cleaned up pencils instead lol

The reason why I probably prefer cumplane soulmates rather than bingqiu soulmates is because bingqiu is the only MXTX couple that don't refer to themselves as soulmates in the book (as far as I remember). Wangxian call each other soulmates and hualian are tied by a red string, but bingqiu doesn't have that. Instead they had to fight fate to be together. Shen Qingqiu was the scum villain and Luo Binghe was the protagonist, they weren't meant to be, but they defied their destinies and fought to be with each other anyway
(You can think of Moshang the same way. Shang Qinghua was destined to be killed by Mobei-Jun, but he too defied his fate)
And also because cumplane soulmates is just so funny. Imagine indirectly killing a guy and ending up in the same world together in the next life. If you don't call them soulmates, then I don't know who is

I often try and share actionable information here when I can. Since I haven't seen posts on my timeline I can reblog I'm making my own.
If you haven't heard, HR 1 (House budget reconciliation bill, being referred to as the "One Big Beautiful Bill" [eyeroll]) passed in the US House of Representatives yesterday, May 22, 2025. It contains massive cuts to Medicare/Medicaid. It also includes work requirements for nondisabled adult Medicaid enrollees, funding reductions to states that offer coverage to immigrants, and bans on coverage for gender-affirming care (children and adults). If you're in the US, at the barest minimum, please take the time to contact your senators on this matter.

Mostly living in cities, towns, and villages within Israel’s internationally recognised borders, many Palestinian citizens of Israel found themselves excluded from life-saving infrastructure during the worst nights of the Iran-Israel conflict to date. For Samar al-Rashed, a 29-year-old single mother living in a mostly Jewish apartment complex near Acre, the reality of that exclusion came on Friday night. Samar was at home with her five-year-old daughter, Jihan. As sirens pierced the air, warning of incoming missiles, she grabbed her daughter and rushed for the building’s shelter. “I didn’t have time to pack anything,” she recalled. “Just water, our phones, and my daughter’s hand in mine.” The panicking mother tried to ease her daughter’s fear, while hiding her own, gently encouraging her in soft-spoken Arabic to keep up with her rushed steps towards the shelter, as other neighbours climbed down the stairs, too. But at the shelter door, she said, an Israeli resident, having heard her speak Arabic, blocked their entry – and shut it in their faces. “I was stunned,” she said. “I speak Hebrew fluently. I tried to explain. But he looked at me with contempt and just said, ‘Not for you.’”
...
Yara Srour, a 22-year-old nursing student at Hebrew University, lives in the neglected neighbourhood of al-Mahatta in Lydd. Her family’s three-storey building, which is around four decades old, lacks official permits and a shelter. Following the heavy Iranian bombardment they witnessed on Saturday evening, which shocked the world around them, the family tried early on Sunday to flee to a safer part of the city. “We went to the new part of Lydd where there are proper shelters,” Yara said, adding that her 48-year-old mother, who suffers from weak knees, was struggling to move. “Yet, they wouldn’t let us in. Jews from poorer areas were also turned away. It was only for the ‘new residents’ — those in the modern buildings, mostly middle-class Jewish families.” Yara recalls the horror vividly. “My mother has joint problems and couldn’t run like the rest of us,” she said. “We were begging, knocking on doors. But people just looked at us through peepholes and ignored us, while we saw the sky light up with fires of intercepted rockets

inasmuch as most leftists rn are willing to admit that women are oppressed on the basis of being women, they really really really want you to name men as an equally victimized class. and of course you cannot acknowledge men as a class of people who benefit from women's oppression!
so where does patriarchy come from? a magical system that harms everybody equally and benefits nobody at all, forced upon society by some kind of mysterious and unknowable force? it's probably best that we just avoid talking about it forever because it's not that important anyway and there are real problems to worry about instead

listen i know it may be difficult to understand but irans government is not some big brother boogeyman. TO be completely frank, this obsession over irans government is hypocritical because i think of Jordan where you cannot even criticize the king on facebook without the secret police arresting you (this is from family stories) or publish news articles about jordans complicity with the israeli regime without being thrown in jail, but damn i dont see the west trying to force regime change in Jordan and I dont see a ton of news articles on Jordans crazy repressive government and thats because Jordan receives US Aid and is aligned with US interests. I just feel like all this "nuanced" conversations surrounding irans government at a time where the US is actively threatening to destroy them is so unnecessary. Also many of you dont actually know anything about iran and all the information you receive from iran is filtered by the government to news outlets that have been spreading genocide propaganda for the Israelis for years and years. The US policy doesnt care for Iranians, the entire US policy in the global south is installing authoritarians they favor.

plain text: Tonight, Iran's nuclear reactors were bombed by America, the United States of America. This is not good. The war in Gaza will not end. It seems that we will remain like this until we die. The war is extending. Also, Israel has not stopped its genocidal massacres in Gaza, nor has the stifling siege, the lie about aid, and the trap of American-Israeli aid distribution points... they are death traps.

My name is Laian, I’m 11 years old.
My dad rented us a home after we lived in a tent, and he sent me and my siblings to good schools so we can learn and dream.
Because of the war, everything is so expensive. That’s why my dad started this campaign — to help us keep going.
I made this drawing from my heart. Maybe it can help us hold on to hope 💛
You can donate directly through our campaign on GoFundMe, our campaign is verified @/gazavetters number #644 , I hope this post reaches people who don't know our story as well. This post tells our story and the challenges and difficulties we face as the war continues for the second year in the Gaza Strip.

Mohammed needs to buy diapers for his children, but just one pack costs $100. His daughter Saba is already very ill with meningitis and a fever, and these unsanitary conditions are dangerous for her. The entire family of 5 also needs food for today (June 24), but this will also cost upwards of $100.

Sex with a Brain Injury
On Concussion and Recovery
Annie Liontas
Winner of the Stonewall Israel Fishman Nonfiction Award This powerful and deeply personal memoir in essays “reflects on history, philosophy, and love while living with head trauma” (The New York Times Book Review). “An infuriatingly gorgeous, important book.” —Carmen Maria Machado, author of Her Body and Other Parties * “A riveting book about embodiment, pain, identity, and intimacy…this book is a stunning achievement.” —Melissa Febos, author of Girlhood
After suffering multiple concussions in her thirties, Annie Liontas shares what it means to be one of the “walking wounded” in Sex with a Brain Injury. Facing her fear, her rage, her physical suffering, and the effects of head trauma on her marriage and other relationships, Liontas is forced to reckon with her own queer mother’s battle with addiction and finds echoes in their pain. Liontas weaves history, philosophy, and personal accounts to interrogate and expand representations of mental health, ability, and disability—particularly in relation to women and the LGBT community. She uncovers the surprising legacy of brain injury, examining its role in culture, the criminal justice system, and through historical figures like Henry VIII and Harriet Tubman. Through Liontas’s sharp, affecting prose, we can imagine this kind of pain, and having to claw one’s way back to a new normal. The hidden gift of injury, Liontas writes, is the ability to connect with others. For the millions of people who have suffered from concussions and for those who have endeavored to support loved ones through the painful and often baffling experience of head trauma, this intimate memoir of a profound affliction and resilience…stands as testimony to love and patience” (Kirkus Reviews).

i mean typically this is like
>research shows testosterone HRT is not a contraceptive so you still need to use protection!
>ok. do you know if it has literally any effect on fertility whatsoever?
>lol no
>ok. so hypothetically how would a trans man on HRT know if he's pregnant?
>well silly girl :) you just check your period :) if you missed your period you might be pregnant! duh!
>ok. testosterone HRT stops your period after, like, 3 months though
>[windows error sounds] well then you can usually feel your breasts get heavier and more tender :)
>ok. what about people who don't have mammary glands anymore? how would that even work?
>listen i don't know. why don't you have a pregnancy test?
>those tests work by detecting a specific hormone. does HRT interfere with this hormone by either making it undetectable or stopping its production entirely or anything? how do i know the test itself is reliable?
>have you tried the morning after pill?
>the morning after pill is also hormone-based. how do i know it's reliable? does taking testosterone HRT have any impact on its efficiency? could it potentially cause an adverse reaction? could a trans man with updated ID documents even access it in the first place since the pharmacy only delivers it to people they think, at a glance, could be pregnant?
etc etc

Help a Gaza teen walk again
18-year-old Mohammed was just 17 when an IOF attack killed his older brother and all but destroyed his leg. Since then, Mohammed has been unable to attend his physical therapy due to lack of funds. The condition of his leg has deteriorated as a result.
The surgery was unfortunately only partly successful. To restore functionality to his leg, Mohammed will eventually have to travel outside of Gaza to get the care he needs. This is an extremely expensive and sadly distant prospect. He is raising for funds for when travel to Egypt becomes possible, and he also needs funds for his ongoing care in Gaza.
Mohammed has no income, nor does anyone in his family. Additionally, his family has multiple disabled members who require expensive long term care, so they cannot help him with his treatment costs. He is weak from starvation and only has one functional leg.
You are his only hope! Please help Mohammed save up for treatment abroad and pay his current treatment expenses!
Current: €21,351 EUR
New temporary goal: €22,352 EUR
Need to raise: €1,000 EUR (about $1,138 USD)
A more full explanation of Mohammed’s situation can be found here
NOTE: I am unable to effectively fundraise for Mohammed. We are urgently hoping for bloggers who will be able to devote time and attention to promoting his campaign. Please consider making a post for Mohammed to promote his campaign and help him get the treatment he needs.
