Poolside - Low Season

Poolside is back and bringing the heatwave with their third album “Low Season” released on Pacific Standard Records.

This sunlit album is calming, soothing yet bright and cheerful and stays authentic to their “daytime disco” sound. It takes you on a tropical adventure by captivating you with leisurely grooves while delicately serenading you with vocals on tracks, “I Feel High,” “Can’t Stop Your Lovin," “Losing Control” and “Kinda Lovely.” Their single, “Around The Sun,” is a dreamy track that has everything you need to warm you up, simply close your eyes and you’ll be taken to a sultry sunny day near the ocean or pool accompanied by a cool refreshment!

Cavego - Gudbrandsdalen EP

Norway’s amazing artist, DJ, and producer, Cavego releases his debut EP Gudbrandsdalen on Eskimo Recordings!

Known for his countless remixes, including Satin Jackets, “Feel Good” and SNBRN, “Beat The Sunrise” each of which he helps create a fascinating vibe. He continues his traditional sound on his debut EP, where he harnesses the glowing synths and dreamy melodic vibe.

The EP features 6 tracks that tells the listener a wonderful story starting with ‘Velkomst’, featuring a warm synth buildup that flows perfectly into the single, ‘Vår I Øyer’ a bright and lively track. It’s next track, ‘Kjeiken’ is a cosmic disco journey highlighted by its funky synth filled bass line. That’s followed by ‘Vertikal Vind’ a stimulating yet shadowy track that builds up a gloomy harmonized chant. The next track, ‘Hafjell’ is a leisurely synth groove that simply helps unwind you. Cavego closes the EP, with ‘Farvel’ (Farewell), a track with velvety synths thats accompanied with magical and eerie chants that helps bring closure to this elegant EP!

One More Time

We're excited to announce our next event "One More Time" which we'll be featuring sounds from nu-disco pioneers, Daft Punk, Breakbot, Chromeo, and many more! 

We couldn't be more thrilled to have Funk LeBlanc spin with us for this event! An amazing producer that has a ton of wonderful edits and released a fascinating single WWMMD featuring the stunning vocals from Zacari Pacaldo, who was featured on Kendrick Lamar's "LOVE" (check out the sexy tune below).

Word on the street is he'll be playing some unreleased tracks too so be sure to come through and check it out.

As with all of our events, we'll be helping to raise funds to benefit The City Eats

The City Eats is an organization dedicated to unifying the community through the purpose of eradicating hunger amongst the inner city homeless population with love, care, and compassion.

Art In A Different Light

We're excited to announce that we'll be participating in the 5th Annual Art In A Different Light event over at 111 Minna Gallery on May 18th from 8:30 p.m. till close.  

Art In A Different Light is a one night, retro inspired black light art and music event hosted by 111 Minna, de Young College Night & Nexus ArtReach. We're excited to welcome Subvision (Elated Container Group, LA) with their SF debut. They'll be teaming up with resident beat junkie J. Medina on what's sure to be a great night. Come out and show some love to our local artists!

Bay Area Disco is proud to present our Second Annual Holiday Happy Hour Toy Drive - we will be accepting any new and unwrapped toys to donate. Last year we successfully donated to the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital and this year we're excited to donate to the San Francisco Fire Fighters Toy Program. Don't be a Scrooge, GIVE BACK!
