A soft broppy moment, kind of a mini comic? I saw this quote while scrolling Pinterest and thought it was very fitting for them. Hope you like :)

See now the thing is that Poppy has so much love in her. So much to give. And all of that love has compounded into the duty she feels as a princess-now-queen. Her entire life she's poured her love into trying to do the right thing for her friends, her people, everyone she adores. In a way, her love was oriented into trying to be the absolute best version of herself possible. She wanted to be the one who made the right decisions and did the right things. Because if she wasn't a good princess, good queen, good friend, then she wasn't good enough for the people she cares about.

But see what Branch did, is he loved her.

He didn't love her as his queen, or even just as his best friend. He loved her whole and simply for who she was. And he didn't very much care if she reciprocated because his loyalty was based purly on that love. He would support her whether she wanted him as a follower, friend or partner. Branch's love was completely and indisputably uncondintional. And he proved that to her by telling her to her face that she was making a mistake, showed her that she was hurting him, and still said "I love you."

And I just think that changed Poppy forever.

Sometimes I think about the Snack Pack and how they must have been casting so many Meaningful Looks at each other and, collectively, at their new Queen when she attached herself securely to Branch after movie 1.

I mean they had a good group dynamic going (even sans Creek) and their bestie starts rolling up to every gathering with Branch willingly in tow. Granted, the guy was kinda instrumental in the rescue of their people and clearly he and Poppy made a connection Of A Sort along the way.

But to jump from 1 thrilling adventure into becoming what is essentially a package deal where you scarcely EVER see one troll without the other would surely spark some gossip amongst them.

Like he wasn't even filling Creek's spot in the group he was exclusively Poppy's tag-along. I bet he barely even spoke to them. Here comes Poppy to hang out and where's Branch? Yup, right there beside her crossing his arms. He wasn't invited. But an invitation for Poppy is suddenly, these days, an instant Branch RSVP. He's just gonna Be There and the alternative is that there is no alternative.

But actually no, the alternative for when Branch and Poppy aren't together is that when Poppy hangs out with her friends alone she brings him up 20 times in every conversation and she doesn't even realize she's doing it. They are mutually obsessed - practically barnacled to each other. And the Snack Pack is divided on whether or not this is something to question or to leave it alone.

Touch starved character feels a soft touch for the first time- this prompt WRECKS me but I like to imagine Branch getting emotional letting his walls down for Poppy and letting himself be vulnerable <3

My newest AU that I have been so invested in creating. In this one, Branch and Poppy were childhood friends until he left Pop Village on his own, feeling abandoned by his brothers while mourning the loss of his grandmother (after escaping the bergens). Instead of waiting around in his bunker, he leaves to forget about anything tied to his past. Poppy remains at the village working to be a good princess and teacher, but still misses this one piece of her past. Years later, Princess Poppy and Branch reunite once again when she ends up needing his help...but he's a rock troll now? Can they rebuild what they once had even though they come from such different worlds now?

I have lots of plans and things for this AU but that's essentially the outline I'm working off of :) It's full of romcom tropes bc I'm a sucker for romance. I hope you like it bc I sure do!
