A couple of days into the overnight shift and it’s not too bad. My favorite part is getting out of work & as I get to the employee parking lot (up a mountain) I get to see the city & lights. It’s so peaceful. By time I get home settled & changed .. I get to enjoy the sunrise on my porch as I smoke a joint before bed. I find myself beyond grateful during this time. I’m literally living out my dream & sometimes it doesn’t feel real 🥹

LOL years later and here I am.
I wanna say that post was written while I was still in college (have to check the post date) but I’m proud to say that today I am living one of the dreams I’ve had back then … moving to California! The path that brought me here is no where near what I had in mind at the time but I’m so happy to be on the journey. I’ve been out here for a little over a week , and will be starting my first full shift on the floor tomorrow night. I’ll probably dedicate a separate post regarding my move & how the transition went but for now this is kinda a catch up rant.
I still have the same mind set with social media … although I’ve figured out Snapchat a lot better 😂. I barely post on instagram but will throw something on my story every now and then , & TikTok is probably where I log most of my social app hours. Still working on my heath journey and dedicating myself fully to a workout schedule, and getting back into reading on a regular basis.
I guess that’s all for now , I don’t want to commit to how frequent I’ll post but am trying to work on doing stuff at least a couple times out the week.
Check ya vibe & be your own wave 🫶🏽

The Comeback
Wow Snapchat is still like a foreign language to me and its been weeks since the update. Instagram has been my go to social media platform but i’ve been getting to a place where I’d like to be able to share more thought and things other than selfies / turn up pics. I’ve decided to give tumblwr more attention and use it to log my workout progress, family photos and videos, along with some written posts. Hope you guys enjoy my randomness :D

I can’t decide if it sounds like a cliché or a lie, but this is the image that sparked my desire to study astrophysics.
Several years ago, I came across the Hubble Ultra Deep Field and lost my mind. I shared it with all my friends and immediately began digging up as much information as I could about astronomy. It brought excitement and joy into my life. Few things hold my interest for long, but astronomy and astrophysics have maintained a firm stranglehold on me because of that.
It’s corny, but this image changed my life. Really. I overcame major personal hurdles, sold my business, and moved across the United States so that I could study astrophysics. I still look at the sky and feel a restless need to know more about what I’m seeing.
I come across this image pretty frequently in my life, and I rarely ever give it the attention or mental energy that it deserves. Sometimes I have to remind myself to pause and think about how strange and wonderful it is that I am a part of this. I invite you to pause with me right now. In a universe this size, I have no doubt you will find whatever it is that brings you excitement and joy.

European satellite could discover thousands of planets in Earth's galaxy
Princeton NJ (SPX) Nov 10, 2014 A recently launched European satellite could reveal tens of thousands of new planets within the next few years, and provide scientists with a far better understanding of the number, variety and distribution of planets in our galaxy, according to new research. Researchers from Princeton University and Lund University in Sweden calculated that the observational satellite Gaia could detect as Full article
