The vibe of this relationship is one of joy and a feeling of being carefree. The feeling of suddenly gaining color after being colorless for awhile, I almost feel like it’s that shimmering feeling of just hopelessly knowing you’re in love with someone, there’s no hiding, it’s so obvious that you two complete each other, there’s this feeling of it being young like a love that doesn’t have any restrictions or hinderance’s to it, the type of relationship where the two just finish each other’s sentences and instinctively know how the other feels even when they don’t say it. I feel this is coming more from your person’s perspective but they’re like so soft.. I get the feeling either of you weren’t exactly treated well in the past and you’re both scared of letting your hearts go, your person feels like a fool in love, they’re like “it’s so obvious… no matter how hard I try to downplay it or pretend it isn’t there I get slapped in the face by just how … open I feel around you. Everyone knows I have feelings for you.. I mean have you seen your smile through my eyes? Or your laugh or that subtle touch you give me when you’re so deep in your laughter you hold unto me for support..I- I know it’s time to accept it… I feel like a fool around you..the worst part is I’m not even mad.. cause yes, I know I’m a fool for you.. damn baby I wish I could say this so wholeheartedly to you.. I wish it were as easy as writing? (Hnmmm) I could just imagine a fantasy in my head where you say yes?” I feel you two had a fall out, cause their energy admits that they’re the happiest when around you. The song baby come back just highlighted this part for me “any kind of fool could see there was something in everything about you” hnmmm and I got the fool card for this pile. They’re so chatty, I just keep hearing. “Tell them how much I love them cause I know I’d probably mess it up if I do” lmao they’re using me :)

Lmao for how they see you immediately heard “im so infatuated by you.. help I don’t know what to do with all these emotions” , that aside , they see you as this capable person. I heard you’re very determined and you don’t delay when it comes to things you want. You chase your goals and practically anything you want (well this is how they view you). “God.. I love just how free spirited you are” you know that scene in the notebook where Noah just stares at Allie smiling and looking so free on the ride she was in? Yeah almost like that. For the introverts however I heard when you gush about your interests cause I love listening to it. In that moment you look so free, not anxious about how people perceive you or how to stay low.. in that moment you’re you. You’re this person that brings so much joy to them, almost like you’re this perfect piece they’re missing. (I get such obsessive thinking.. this person literally doesn’t see much faults with you. It’s like love has clouded their reasoning.. hnmm could be unhealthy but I get they’re not so expressive on the outside, aha this is how they feel on the inside. Overwhelmed by their emotions. I’m hearing ‘holiday romance’ and exciting. You’re like the embodiment of happiness to this person, there’s this feeling of home to it. Like I’m in the presence of .. my other half?. For some of you it’s strongly coming through that they must’ve pushed you away and it’s eating them up knowing you’re gone? Or away. So they hold on to the memories of you just to console themselves. (That is for some of you) but mind you I don’t feel like this person has ever aired their feelings to you.

Y’all I can’t this person is so into you.. Godddd I hardly come across really sappy people but damn they’re just that into you. their feelings towards you is the literal 10 of cups.. they view you as their soulmates, (hey I stated that up above), you’re the best thing to them. They see a future with you, the happy home , the happy family (with or without kids), they’re feelings are serious. They want a long term commitment actually they want forever with you, they know they’re this in love with you but I’m hearing it’s so hard to just let you know. I heard they’re a bit like Mr Darcy, though not as awkward or could be but in the sense that words fail them. For some of you I’m hearing they love that you’re different from anything they’re used to , maybe some of you are an interracial couple or could just be from different cities or places. Im hearing you’re the complete package. All your flaws, quirks, scars and just everything about you just appeals to them. Im hearing they love that at times you crack too.. letting them know that you’re just as human as they are.. you feel like their good luck.

Your favorite qualities of theirs however is their optimistic nature, that childlike innocence no that childlike freedom, how passionate they are when they’ve made up their mind to achieve something. How they hardly give up even against all odds. I just heard they have this cute nose scrunch they do when they laugh and you just melt a little, (lol so sappy). I heard you get into your head a lot and you tend to be a nervous wreck or anxious over things that happen in your life and boom! They just swoop in like some guardian angel here to save the day. They come up with the wildest ideas and take you to places you’d probably disregard and I heard “they have a way of making everything feel so magical”. I get the feeling that you two are or we’re probably best friends who found themselves falling in love with the other and got kinda spooked at how deeply it had gone. I heard you like their hands, the stupid things they do that make you laugh so hard till you’re crying, the random things they say and finally their warm embrace. How serious they get when you’ve been hurt or how protective they are, it’s like “I love them so much… but if I say something about it.. they’d probably leave” are you a bit too logical and detached. Prioritizing head over heart to avoid pains of the past? Could be why this relationship seems to have this quality.

Finally my advice from Aphrodite shows the hanged man, which speaks of having hope and a new perspective. It’s advising you to go within , both of you. To go within and ask yourselves what you want and won’t put up with in a relationship. It’s encouraging you to have hope that a renewal is in the process of you choose to. For some of you I get the feeling that it’s saying you need to grow first, in maturity and priorities. Only then would you guys be able to come to a solid ground. Go and grow up :) . It’s like the decisions you make now would determine whether or not your paths would cross again and for some of you it encourages you to have more trust in your relationship. Hnmm the vibe of this relationship is a bit weird, more in the sense that the two of you haven’t really been open to receiving genuine love and kindness, I get this vibe that the two of you are crushing each other or the love between you is cherished. A soft love, like the angel above. A love in which one of you sings the other’s anxiety away. I get the vibe that both or one of you is artistic. Maybe one dances, sings or paints and the other takes pictures, writes or expresses themselves in some artistic way, there’s a sense of knowing you were meant to meet this person.. actually more like you two Wait! I feel you both had similar childhood’s. Maybe you felt neglected or came from a strict home, there’s something you both relate too regarding your childhood and because of that, you two actively try to make yourselves a safe space for the other person.. giving them a sense of home, a sense of security and a space to feel heard. It’s like you’re already a couple but you two aren’t really acknowledging that cause of fear? I feel that either you or person fears they might become codependent and eventually end up like relationships they fear from the past, so because of that both of you are being really cautious but understanding.

To them you’re a fighter, they see you as someone actively standing up for their beliefs no matter how hard it is, whether it be sticking to a strict rule of no more addictions, ego , restrictions etc. they see you as someone who’s protective could be of them or your dreams or it could be that they feel really protective of you. It’s like they’re far ahead of you in their career or something and they see you as this upcoming struggling artist? Or something else and because of this they’re really protective. I’m hearing “so you don’t have to feel unheard like I did ..” and “people don’t really like you here.. but I don’t care.. I’d keep defending you” . I’m conclusion they view you as this person who’s new to something and despite being new to it, is actively trying not to get overwhelmed or overshadowed by whatever circumstances are coming your way. They’re not as romantic as the first pile, they’re more practical in a sense, like straightforward cause they don’t know how to be romantic? I’m hearing they’re so underdeveloped emotionally and it bugs them so much knowing they’re feeling things for you.

AHA! I knew it, they’re really underdeveloped emotionally, they feel helpless, confused and trapped. It’s like “why am I acting like this? I never do?? I-I’m not this aggressive person, I’m not this powerless against my emotions… so why-why am I feeling this way about them?? I’m logical ! I’m.. I’m not in love am I?”. They feel thrown off by you. It’s like they keep psychoanalyzing you, trying to figure out just what is in you that’s making them act and feel this way, it’s a mind over heart matter that’s losing, they’re saying they feel angry when you’re slighted, get sad when you’re upset and God get so happy whenever you are. And they’re lost.. like they feel they’re battling their emotions everyday when around you, playing it cool when they really just want to ask you out and give you a warm and long hug cause damn…. They’re fighting it all the time. I’m hearing they’re scared you’d get bored and move on. It’s like “wait please! Just give me more time”. Don’t 😃 , if you feel like staying behind you can but if you feel like chasing other things and moving on do so, I’m hearing it’ll give them a wake up call, like I said I get the feeling you’re this straightforward person too, it’s like “I’m not waiting around, if you’re not ready I’m out” and they’re all like “no pls pls” they’re so soft for you please. It’s like “ahhh I don’t want to make you angry” . (Lol they got so chatty here)

So your favorite qualities about them is how assertive they appear but behind all that they’re so soft for you. It’s like they’re passion and ambition draws you to them cause you’re the same. You both value your career and making something out of yourself. You like this boss image they give off like damn they’ve got such a strong structure? For some of you who like men you like their build ( body and face) and arms ? It’s like he radiates such gentle giant vibes and for those of you who like women I heard her legs, these strong legs that just make her look like a queen who could step on you LOL. Aside from that it’s mainly how they think, they move with planning. They’re not reckless and they value the same things you do. I just heard for some of you ( I like teasing them or playing hard to get just to see their reactions ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) don't overdo it tho or to a point it becomes toxic.

Short note, I feel mushy. I get that behind that strong wall they put up they're actually stupidly in love with you. It's like Mr Darcy around Elizabeth. They just stare and fumble around you. Awww it's like you tamed the beast.

Finally advice from Aphrodite emphasizes the fact that you or person has to let those walls down, y'all need to accept that you can love and do so wholeheartedly. It's like welcome change. No matter how uncomfortable it is. Let go of past grievances let go of past experiences and heal. Both of you need to heal gently and slowly together so that you can both get this fulfilment. So starting off with the vibe of this relationship I get the sense that there’s this friendly vibe to it, you guys treat each other like friends actually best friends. You laugh at each others jokes, you’ve got home jokes and you’re just that fun couple. The one that doesn’t really care what anyone thinks, the ones that choose their happiness. I feel this carefree energy, like one of you prompts the other to open up and be free, to connect with your inner child ? I heard smile more ! And be happy. Don’t be so stuck up :p. (You’re cute ). This is an affectionate couple, you hug and cuddle frequently. You take both your times to plan something sweet for the other. There’s a sense of balance. This is a loyal relationship. I feel relaxed. Someone here clears the other persons fears and anxiety. “I’d brave any storm as long as it’s with you” “you’re my boo.. even if you get someone else they’d always fall in comparison” lol okay 💀. There’s a sense of celebration, like you two are working towards being happy.

They see you as an inspiration to them, you’re grounded, loyal and hopeful. You’ve got this optimistic mindset that doesn’t really focus on past hurts, in a sense they know you’ve battled a lot and you still decide to wear a smile. They view you as strong, determined and giving. They view you as this generous and kind person. You’re equal and supportive. I feel they think you saved them when they were going through a rough time. It’s like you just trickled your way slowly into their hearts and they can’t stop thinking about you, lol I heard “I don’t wanna know if you’re playing me keep it on the low, cause my heart can’t take it anymore” they’ve been wronged and probably cheated on in the past, they’re literally so scared that you’d leave them all in love and helpless. It’s like they see you as something that’s too good to be true . And they’re falling , really fast too. I heard hair, they love your hair and your skin? It’s beautiful (not the color) just the way it shines ? ‘Watery eyes I could get lost in’. This person is all about you, they feel you just fit right for them. They adore you. Like a queen. You’re literally a queen to them and they’re just patiently waiting to be recognized by you.

For their feelings towards you I get the sense that they need to muster up the courage to face you with this, it feels like a friends to lovers thing. They feel that you guys understand each other on such a deep level, it’s like, “we’re cut from the same cloth” we instinctively know how to cheer each other up. They feel successful with you, like you make them open to all the things they thought weren’t important before, you make them want to be better, you make them want to be there for you and commit to you. They love you. They’re feelings are hard to tap into cause it’s all over the place. To summarize they love your soul. Beyond your body. They love you as a person. It’s like you make them believe in love again. You’re their muse , their inspiration. Literally they’re working hard to provide a stable future for you both. But they need that strength and courage to come up to you. They feel other people want you too and it scares them to one day walk up to you and see you’re with someone else. It’ll crush them. (Calm down )

You admire how dedicated they are, they are hardworking and never back down from a goal once they’ve set their mind in it. At times you get worried for them, hoping they won’t break down from the stress. But you admire their strength. I get the feeling that although you’re passionate with your goals, you’ve never been entirely so head strong about it. They motivate you. You admire how hopeful they are regarding their future, you get that they’re working so hard not just for themselves but for people they care about too. They’re dependable and warm. They’re confident and have got a good judgement. You feel they’re a good long term partner. They’re just amazing ( ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) hnmm they give you a rush and they make you feel special. I feel the way they look at you is so special, it’s beautiful it makes you feel loved. I heard when they hug you, your heart just calms down and when you guys kiss it’s like the world stops ( for some of you in a relationship)

My advice from spirits and Aphrodite to you is releasing fear. Let go of what doesn’t serve you both. But mainly your person, the fear relating confessing to you, it’s like they should seek clarity first and listen to their intuition. I get the feeling you both miss cues from the other person and you might both end up feeling like you both don’t feel the same way. It’s advising you two to be more cheerful, keep that childlike joy to you both , that lovable energy between you both, the optimism and fearlessness you both get from protecting each other.

It’s like if you know they make you happy and feel better about yourself, keep them around ❤️

Also before I wrote this out I almost passed out, my fingers were trembling and I could tell your person was a nervous wreck. They love you so much but anxiety is eating them up. I tried to talk but it just came out stupidly. They feel you could silence them with a single word. The feeling of you telling them no is according to them equivalent to death (so dramatic) also they seem to like 2000’s or 90’s music. Could be an old soul or just a music buff

The Basics of Yoruba

Yoruba is a West African spirituality that some Anthropologists estimate is 10,000 years old! It comprises the beliefs of the Yoruba people, whose homeland is in the South Western part of Nigeria and adjoining parts of Benin and Togo. Yet the beliefs of Yoruba are also incredibly widespread around the world. Some of this was due to migration that occurred before the Egyptian dynasties. Yet the most recent migration is because of the Atlantic Slave Trade that brought the peoples of Yoruba to Trinidad, Tobago, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Venezuela, North America and elsewhere.

The spirituality of Yoruba focuses deeply on self-exploration, learning one’s destiny (or fate), interacting with the spirits of nature as well as one’s ancestors, and getting yourself right with the almighty creator Oludumare.

OLUDUMARE

Oludumare is not a “he” or a “she.” The only appropriate pronoun here is “it” because Oludumare is a genderless being who is responsible for all creation. It lives in a heavenly realm, far from its creation. Yet it has holy messengers who help to intercede between the Almighty and Mankind itself. These messengers are spirits called “Orishas.” In Yoruba you must believe and interact with the Orishas to reach God Consciousness.

ORISHAS

There are many types of Orishas. Some who have always been present and others are humans who made the leap to divinity. And then there are spirits who take the form of natural resources such as rivers and trees. While some are similar to the Western concept of an Angel, there are also some key differences. Orisha’s are not perfect beings. They actually have very human characteristics, a variety of quirks and different attitudes. They marry, divorce and even have their own favorite beers and foods. Orishas also live on the Earth, rather than the sky. Some say that there are 400 and others say that there are more than 3,000. Of the real number no one can be certain. Each Orisha has their own color, drum beat and even an article of clothing that is associated with them.

Orishas are also capable of possessing the bodies of their followers or priests. This is done through an elaborate dance ritual where certain orishas are evoked through a particular dance and drum beat. The Orishas rise up from the Earth and mount the bodies and souls of those involved in the ritual. Men and women can both take place in these rituals. Some humans involved in the ritual even gender bend in terms of their clothing, if they want to summon an Orisha of the opposite gender.

AJOGUN

However, not all spirits are good. There are some negative spirits called “Ajogun.” These spirits are typically responsible for the bad things that might happen in someone’s life: accidents, depression or an illness. People trying to get rid of an Ajogun will consult a priest, who performs a divination ritual to learn the spirit’s motives and the best way to banish them.

ASHE

Ashe is a life force similar to Chi in Chinese traditions or the energy that flows through the chakras in Indian belief. Ashe is a force that has the power to bring about change – whether good or bad – and is contained in everything from lightning and hurricanes to blood and sacred names.

REINCARNATION

Rather than focusing on salvation, much of the focus has been on living a good life in the here and now. While there is some mention of a “good and bad heaven” most followers hope for reincarnation, which is actually a good thing in this religion, while it is something to be escaped in Buddhism. People who are bad or who commit suicide do not get to be reborn. There is also a belief that reincarnation matches family lines. Therefore, that a grandmother or grandfather will reincarnated back into his or her family tree. It’s not uncommon for a boy to be called names like Babatunde which means “Father Returns” or Yetunde which means “the mother comes back again”. Gender is hardly ever taken into account because it’s believed that it often changes with reincarnation.

DESTINY

In Yoruba, we get to choose our own destinies before we are born. This can be to the very exact details of where we live, who we love and our life purpose. Yet once we are born, we forget these destinies and must struggle to remember them again. Consulting the spirits is a good way to learn one’s life destiny and purpose.

DIVINATION

In the Yoruba tradition, there are men and women who are specially trained to communicate with the heavenly realm. You see the Yoruba have specially trained intercessors called either Babalawo if men (which means Father of secrets) or Iyalawo if women (Mother of Secrets) who through an intense period of training are taught divination techniques that allow clients to seek help or advice from the Heavenly realm on anything from relationship problems to job issues. Babalawo are different from your typical psychic though.

They don’t claim to have any special power in and of themselves. They are merely people who are masters of the art of divination which involves knowing how to cast divinations with palm nuts, recording the results, and reciting the poem connected with each result. This however is not very easy since the chances of any one result coming up are 1 in 256 and four poems must be memorized for each one. Therefore, it takes a lot of work, memorization and dedication to be a Babalawo or Iyalawo

YORUBA MEETS CHRISTIANITY

When Europeans came to Africa, or traded Africans abroad, the Africans were forced to embrace many of the European ways – including their religion. The Yoruba spirituality survived better under Spanish and Portuguese Catholicism than the English Evangelical Christianity.

Catholicism had parallels similar to the Yoruba Faith. A belief in an almighty God who had many helpers (saints and angels). When the Yoruba converted to Catholicism, they made their Orisha’s into saints. However, the conversion wasn’t such a simple affair – since the Yoruba had less of a belief in black and white “good and evil.” Yet at least their Orishas were able to maintain some worship in Catholicism.

In the Christian Evangelical system, many of the Orisha’s were simply abolished.

Yet the Catholic Yoruba synthesis is alive and well in Puerto Rico, Brazil, Trinidad, Haiti, Cuba and New Orleans.

Because of Yoruba’s elasticity, it can adopt other religions quite easily. This may be part of the religion’s popularity. Some say that Yoruba – with its many different versions included – is the world’s top 6 most practiced religion.
