After taking some time to think—I think I'm going to put this blog on a possibly perma hiatus. With everything JKR's done, esp with the court ruling, I can't really sit by and just let that slide.

My trans friends mean a lot to me, because they're people too. They are, not matter what that bitch thinks. And her assistance with the court ruling here in the UK?? I can't stand by and watch my friends be hurt by that.

And to be honest, Hermione's muse has been dead for a few months now, especially due to all this shit—so this post is really long overdue. It's been weighing pretty heavy on me, and I've been thinking about it a lot, especially over the past year or so. And maybe I should've stepped back a lot sooner.

So until the wicked witch is dead, this is a see you later.

But I don't want y'all to think I'm leaving bc of you guys, because I'm not. I've made amazing friends here, and I don't regret meeting any of you. If any of you would like to keep in touch, I'm on Discord, which I'll put under the cut!!

  The look her gave her was that of bewilderment. He seemed so surprised that she was here… he truly had no idea. But he looked at her with something else, something in his eyes that she couldn't quite place. It wasn't unsettling, no, but… no, probably best not to think about it.

  Taking a breath, Hermione moved to take a seat across from him, eyes focused low to be wary of how she sat, given her bump and all, ❝Thank you,❞ she speaks politely, her gaze finally lifting to look at him, ❝I suppose tea will have to do.❞ a curt response, even though she drinks tea at home. She came to tell him what was clearly evident, have a conversation and depending on where that goes… leave. Or stay.

  The implications that could have, especially after him leaving that morning? That'd given her enough for her to think otherwise. But she couldn't not tell him, could she?

  …Bollocks, Malfoy. Her brows creasing with a tinge of frustration, Hermione exhaled, ❝You risk being forward, and yet here we are.❞ She wasn't annoyed, not really—after all, he was right. Suppose that's one thing that did annoy her, though. Him being right. ❝Yes… it is. You have a right to know, even if you'd rather not.❞ A bit of a bite in her tone, she thought she'd masked it, but… obviously not. She really did assume that he'd rather not have anything to do with it— with her.

Oh boy, this...this wasn't what he expected at all.

In Draco's own truth, he never expected to be confronted by Hermione ever, never thought he would see her again. The Golden Girl of the Ministry, one of the Wizarding World's own Saviors, someone like her couldn't be caught dead with a disgraced ex-Death Eater. Especially if he didn't know fully what else had him falling from grace.

But she was here, looking as lovely as she did that night, and she was pregnant.

Her words and rolled eyes seemed to snap him out of the shock he was in, his own eyebrows raising, before he cleared his throat and set his quill down. "Sorry," he said, before gesturing to one of the chairs across his desk. "You should sit. Please. Uh, tea? Water? Coffee isn't exactly a healthy thing for you to drink right now, at least, not my coffee..."

His knee flared with pain, so Draco leaned against the desk to alleviate the pressure, not wanting to sit before she did. His eyes kept dropping to her stomach, his mind whirling. "I... I risk being forward, but...is it mine?"

  It was devastating to find out such a thing. She was pregnant, and with Draco Malfoy's baby, no less. After a night of fun, what she thought was change for the both of them, turned out to be a disaster the following morning. They'd had drinks, flirted backed and forth and inevitably slept together.

  They'd had fun! It was a perfect night, or so she thought. He was gone the next morning, only leaving her a little breakfast for her to wake up to. Not him. He left her no note, nothing in a way to contact him… needless to say, she was utterly gutted. No—devastated.

  A few weeks pass and she's heaving her guts up in her bathroom, and then a quick muggle test and… positive. Great! Just bloody great! Just what she needed! In those following couple of months, she had a few appointments with wizarding healers, just to do things right, but ultimately decided to keep the child. Not for any other reason other than she wanted to. Keeping it from her friends had been a nightmare, and when her bump started to show? …There wasn't any hiding it any more, no big, fluffy jumper could hide it. No matter how hard she tried. Not that she was ashamed, of course not—but she knew her friends and how they could react.

  But she felt like she should give the father the first breaking of the news first—that was the right thing to do, wasn't it? He had a right to know; after all, it was a joint effort. She walked into his apothecary, asking his assistant politely to take her to him ( they'd be talking about that, no doubt ), and here they were. In his office, the Malfoy heir staring at her as if she was a ghost or something, but then… to her stomach. Well, nothing like getting straight to the point, right? ❝Is this how you treat your customers, Malfoy? No ❛hello❜, or ❛welcome❜?❞ Her eyes rolled lightly, one hand resting on her hip as the other came up to rest on her stomach. Sighing lightly, Hermione's eyes lowered to the bump, taking it in before closing them, ❝…Yes. Yes, Malfoy, your eyes aren't deceiving you— I'm pregnant.❞
