   The curly haired girl spun on her heel at the ever so innocent voice, her eyes quickly widening as she turned. When blood purist Slytherins thought they were funny, they'd throw hexes her way, which she'd normally avoid and fire back with ease and precision — but one of their dumb hexes hit her, disintegrating part of her woolly jumper's sleeve and covering her arm in some nasty but little cuts and bruises.

   She didn't really have any Wiggenweld potion on her for a quicker recovery, and she clearly wasn't fast enough with a Scourgify to clear up the blood.

   ❝No—❞ the witch hastily responds, trying her best to hide her arm behind her back, ❝No, this wasn't me.❞ Gods above, imagine if it was! That'd make the Daily Prophet for sure. ❝It's nothing to worry about, I assure you. Just... pesky Slytherins, that's all.❞ Was she even doing a good job in masking the pain she was feeling? She couldn't tell, and it wasn't like she was the best of liars, especially when it comes to injuries.

Today is a maybe think about Hermione and her Weasleys day…..

   The witch felt almost stiff as a board when Ronald Weasley made his presence known. She'd stopped in her tracks when he saw him, a bundle of books in her arms that she almost dropped. Luckily, her skill with carrying books without a wand was unlike anyone else's, and her wrap on them only got tighter as the redhead spoke up.

   She couldn't explain how she was even feeling. Was she shocked? Elated? A mixture, of course! He didn't even give any note that he was coming, especially to see her. She could've sworn that she'd gasped a soft ❛Ron❜ from her lips, too.

   Gods... he'd gone away to Romania to spend time with Charlie, and they'd exchanged owls here and there, sometimes even radio silence. But, so long as he was happy? Who is she to complain? He was exploring the world, learning more about it, dragons, and even himself. She was proud of him for that. It wasn't as if their relationship was strained... or was it?

   So seeing him stood — no, approaching her now — was... more than a surprise.

   Watching him reach for her but pull back pulled at her heartstrings. Oh, bless him. They were... well, friends, weren't they? Putting her books down, Hermione walked toward him, wrapping her arms around his neck to pull him into a hug. ❝You could've given me some warning that you were back, you know.❞ She murmurs into his shoulder, letting her hug last a moment before pulling herself back, hands resting on his shoulders as she got a good look at him, ❝It's good to see you, too.❞

it  felt  STRANGE  to  be  back  home  -  to  have  packed  his  things  and  left  wasn't  a  decision  he'd  made  lightly  ,  but  he'd  needed  time  away  from  all  the  memories  ,  the  invite  from  his  older  brother  to  join  him  in  romania  greatfully  taken  .  he  hadn't  been  a  complete  stranger  to  his  FRIENDS  ,  but  he'd  been  busy  ,  keeping  his  mind  active  and  distracted  .  he'd  only  been  back  a  day  ,  if  that  when  he  was  reunited  with  hermione  ,  a  small  SMILE  finding  his  lips  . ❝   well  you've  been  keeping  yourself  busy  ,   ❞   he  offered  lightly  as  a  form  of  greeting  ,  ron  had  taken  a  step  forward  ,  arms  moving  as  if  he  was  going  to  pull  her  into  a  HUG  but  he  faltered  at  the  last  moment  ,  clearing  his  throat  a  little  ,  positioning  his  arms  back  at  his  sides.   ❝  it's  uh  -  good  to  see  you  .  ❞
