aran tried not to let his brain scramble just hearing callum chuckle, he could not possibly be down that bad for a boy just hearing him chuckle. "well seeing as how i make coffee for a living i think it would only be right that i drink coffee as well." he made his way over to the cabinet and took out two mugs, placing one on the counter and the other remaining in his hands. "i say that and i'm pretty sure last week i told someone i would rather die than drink coffee again." he said with a laugh. aran poured himself a cup of coffee and pointed at the fridge with a raised eyebrow. "i'm about to raid your fridge and find your creamer." he pulled open the fridge and located the creamer, pulling it out before turning back to the other. he looked over at callum and gave him a wide smile before taking a sip from his cup. "i don't think you're awkward. at least not the most awkward person i've met." he said in an attempt to comfort him. "if your breakfast is anything like your coffee i'm in for a treat."
"You're not intruding." He is quick to interject, but the blush that follows suggests he wishes he hadn't said anything. The last thing Callum wants, aside from them realizing that this was a complicated and messy idea, is them to think he has been wanting this as long as he has. "Yeah, well. You were busy last night. And cooking only for me seemed like a shitty thing to do, so," Callum says, brow lifted as he looks up from the stove. "It's okay. I didn't think you were being awkward, but if you want something to do, the coffee's done." Wiping the sleeve of his hoodie above his brow, Callum gestures to the cabinet to his right. "Mugs are in there if you want. Or there's orange juice in the fridge. I just realized I don't know if you drink coffee..." There's a chuckle as he looks up to properly meet Aran's eyes. "Sorry. I guess It's my turn to be awkward."

"of course you're more than that." she felt panic rising in her chest as she realized everything that was slipping through her fingers. rosalind was her rock, her peace, if she lost her then she would be left with nothing. jasmine can pretend all day that she doesn't need anybody, that she'll survive on her own if everyone leaves her. but the truth is that she couldn't do any of this alone, and she most definitely didn't want to. "you know how much you mean to me and to throw that in my face...i would never do that to you." hurt laced in her words as she tried to fight back the tears that threatened to fall. she could either sound upset or cry but she couldn't do both, she didn't want this to be any harder than it already was. "if i pick you then i could lose everything. my family, my friends, my job, everything. if i pick him then i lose you, the one person who knows me inside and out, the one person who sees me for me." jasmine took a small step towards her, gently touching the side of rosalind's cheek. "you're my heart, of course i would choose you." she breathed.
Jasmine's attempts to avoid her eyes draws Rosalind's hands into fists. She knew that this was a bad idea, and usually she is good at preventing herself from getting lost in her feelings, when they are together, away from the pretense of events like this, everything feels right with Jasmine. It is only times like this that she allows herself to regret it. "Would it make a difference if I did?" She scoffs, but her reaction stings. Like the idea of anyone knowing who they are to each other would be more damaging than this--the hurt in her eyes or the hope threatening to take over her chest. "Well, I bet he would let your little secret spill if he knew, but it seems like you're insistent on making sure he doesn't. You have to pick. What is it that you want? Because I can't keep just being the person you come to at the end of the day. I... deserve more than that. I am more than that."

the more jasmie spoke the more she felt like an idiot. how was she able to play this out? not without sounding like a complete ass. "because she's just using you to be selfish, which is a total bitch move." she lied, wincing at how lame it sounded. "can't you just trust me? i'm trying to look out for you." she couldn't even bring herself to say as a friend, because good lord she didn't want to be his friend, she wanted to be so much more than that. "i don't like it when you surround yourself with those type of girls, girls that don't deserve to be around you."
he couldn’t help the amused laugh that followed her confession. it wasn’t that he didn’t already know that — it was more than obvious. however xavier was the type of guy that wanted to hear the truth & he knew eventually he’d get it. method was still working for him — she was proof of that. “ & why don’t you want me hanging out or around her, to phrase it correctly. ”

olivia felt some of that embarrassment melt away at his kind words and she said a silent prayer to whoever sent someone so nice to her when she needed it. "the responsible side of me wants to say another drink is a bad idea but after the day i had i definitely need another drink so i'll take you up on that offer." a small blush creeped over her cheeks when he winked at her and she let out a laugh that she's sure sounded more nervous than anything. "that's a nice offer, really, but i'm kind of mostly mad at myself so i'd rather you not beat me up." a horrible attempt at a joke but she wanted to at least look like she was trying to feel better in the moment. "i didn't do so well at my competition today and didn't get the place i wanted. granted my mother's choice of words towards me definitely didn't help but i'm just more disappointed in myself, ya know?" she asked. "i'm sure you don't want to hear about any of this." she said with a wave of her hand. "i suppose i could also ask you why you're here in the bar all alone."
Brian stayed silent for a moment and listened to her words before chuckling softly at her. It was interesting to hear those words from her. He then sighed softly and licked his for a moment and took a deep breath before taking his drink. He slowly sipped on it before turning towards her. "Olivia is a lovely name. How about this ? I buy you a drink to help you forget about the bad day and then you can tell me who upset you so I can beat him up. " He said to her with a wink. She was a nice and beautiful woman and he couldn't help but smile at her. He certainly wouldn't mind spending more time getting to know her. Although it depends on whether or not she wanted the same thing. He hoped she did. Or at least would so. And he definitely meant what he said.

could we try holding hands? from gus
maybe it was his emotions getting the better of him or maybe it was the alcohol that pulsed through his body, but the invitation to hold levi's hand for even a split second was a little too inviting. he felt his hand inching towards levi's before he could utter a word, lacing their fingers together and feeling the warmth of the other's hand against his. "just, don't leave me tonight, okay?"

jace lets a confident smirk play over his face, eyeing the other male slowly before speaking. “oh yeah? you must have had to think really hard bought it since you were looking at me for a while.” he brought up his hand to mess with the front of levi’s shirt. “so I ask again, handsome, do you like what you see?”
levi grins the moment the other's cornered him. he loves to play dumb. "what are you talking about? when was i looking at you?" the blonde questions him. "i was wondering where i remembered you from that's all." levi laughs softly as he glances at the other.

olivie shrugged and turned to grab her water bottle, making sure fen wouldn't be able to see the face she pulled at his words. "no no i'm sure they're fine, maybe they just needed a few days away." she said with a shrug. olivie took a sip of her water before turning back to him and forcing a smile over her face. "if they're out with someone else then all the more reason to forget about them!" she tried masking the unhappiness in her voice as she spoke, clasping her hands together tightly. "lets talk about something else, hmm?"
fen doesn't feel good as he keeps looking at his phone. they haven't messaged him back in hours. they never go this long. her words don't reassure him much but he tries to settle down and not let his mind wander. "a bender? that's not like them." fen shakes his head. "c'mon. it's weird. you don't think it's weird?" fen raises a brow as he looks at her. "what if they're out with someone else?"

kenzie applied the ointment and placed a band aid over his cut gently, even placing a small kiss on top of it before giving him a smile. "it does pay to have a professional, because now your wound will magically heal." she joked. "any other cuts or scrapes i need to see? your favorite nurse will heal them expertly."
John watched as Kenzie rummaged through her purse. “Thanks,” he said with a warm smile. “I guess it’s good to have a professional around.” John glanced up at her with a grin, happy to sit back and allow her to tend to the cut however she decided was best.

could you... do that again?
please come back.

i need to feel you close.
we could share the same bed.
could we try holding hands?
right there. just like that.
i want to know how it feels.
i like it when you're nearby.
if you could just... stay here for a while.
lean into me. it's okay.
i like your hugs.
i want you here.
please touch me.
your arms feel so safe.
stay close to me.
the bed feels so cold.
come into my arms.
let me hold you.
cling to me.
you can keep doing that.
you don't have to let go.
i feel safe when you're near me.
that feels so good.
that was... really nice.
i like it when you play with my fingers.
could you come a little closer?
you can play with my hair if you want.
you don't have to sit so far away.
would you sleep here with me?
you feel like home to me.
if you keep doing that, i can't promise i'll behave.

kenzie felt a smile grow at his compliments, even felt a bit of heat brush across her cheeks. "well now i'm thinking you keep a list of things to call me." she joked. "after the day i've had i think a coffee and a muffin would be great, and there's a cute cafe not too close to the park as well that i've been meaning to show you!"
" i'm not wasting my time with you.. you're lovely, you're kind. you're especially sweet. do I need to get a dictonary and keep listing all the words that you are "
oskar would smile softly. " how about we get you a coffee and a muffin and go for a lovely walk in the park huh? "

amethyst smiled. " yeah it was, huh?? i haven't gotten out like this in a while. too busy wit' my nose in my work these days, " her head cocked to the side a little bit. " are you... callin' it a night then?? "

"yeah well you tend to lose your will to fight after so much." her voice came out more bitter than she'd cared for. she wanted to hate ellory, more than anything she wanted to loath the other girl. but now as she stood in front of her maggie couldn't bring herself to. it was a struggle just to get through her need to go to the girl. "you didn't even give me a chance to show you that you could be loved, you just pushed me out before i could even get closer to you."
"I thought you'd put up more of a fight." There's a sense of dread in her voice - she hadn't wanted to have this conversation. Not now, not ever. She'd always somewhat tried to leave the past in the past. But here they were, face to face again; bumped into each other in a crowd. One might call it fate. "It wasn't all your fault, Maggie. I'm not easy to love."

mai gave a dramatic sigh at tim's words and let out a loud groan. "a little six mile hike? i out to punch you for even joking like that." she made a point to punch his arm lightly before finally letting her body relax. "okay but at this rate you're going to have to carry me back down like a bride." she joked.

Tim grinned, catching her eye as he took a swig from his own water bottle. “Come on, that’s the point — I promise the view’s worth it. You can’t let a little six-mile hike get the best of you. And we’ll be back before you know it!”
