Nostalgistic Travel 75 x 50 cm Mixed media collage 2017

­­­The idea of the artwork is to convey the feeling of nostalgia towards childhood memories. “Memory is a kind of ‘heterogeneous space’ art in which different events are connected in series” ---- Hounchanglin. The collage is made by frames while each frame contains different kind of 90’s childhood games. The traditional game teng-teng is present space to guide people’s sight into the picture frame, to lead audience travel back every each of childhood places. The nostalgic game’s tools function as a medium to trigger and recall the story and emotion in past. The sounds surrounding the picture frame to enhance the journey to the old time.
