got inspired “friend” group

 although they were all friends once, the following group of people aren’t sure what to call each other these days. they grew up in silver creek, were kids together, but as they got older things got complicated. romance, betrayal, misunderstandings, parties gone wrong, etc. nothing can ever stay simple for long. 

THE LANNISTER recently broke up with their fiance THE BARATHEON, who is leaning on their best friend THE STARK for support. but really, how long can THE STARK be their voice of reason before THE BARATHEON does something impulsive they’ll regret? doesn’t help that THE TYRELL, long time on and off best friend of THE LANNISTER has had eyes on THE BARATHEON forever. this might be a good time to move in. but should your best friends’ ex be off limits?

meanwhile, look who’s back in town: THE TARGARYEN. it’s been years and when they left, they were at odds with just about everyone else. do those old grudges still hold up? THE MARTELL is quick to welcome them back, but that’s no surprise, given that they were ride or die even in grade school. plus, THE MARTELL has been over all the bullshit drama the rest of the group has been on lately. 

THE GREYJOY is busy picking sides and then changing them at a whim to make sure they come out on top of whatever argument, THE TULLY is doing their best to keep everyone together, and THE ARRYN is off in their own little world and can barely keep up with who’s sleeping with or backstabbing who these days.

all of the above is a super rough outline that i’m completely onboard with editing. what im looking for is a group of friends with really complex relationships. they fight, they hold grudges, they do hurtful things to each other, they make up, they come back together, etc. instead of it being a simple “they’re friends” or “they’re enemies”. each character is vaguely inspired by the aesthetic/vibes of the house in the series. im thinking there was one big moment that happened shortly before the targaryen left silver creek that really divided the group. over the years they’ve come back together, but now with the targaryen returning (along with other drama), old feelings are resurfacing etc. i’d like to all chat together as a group once we have some people about what exactly that was, though!

they should all be in their 30s and i’d love a good balance of genders. the martell must be poc but i would honestly love for any of the others to also be poc for more diversity!!

THE BEST CUP OF COFFEE IN SILVER CREEK

originally started as the townhouse coffee bar in the 70s, townhouse coffee company has only grown and expanded. owned and operated by the bardot family for generations, it is currently managed by josephine bardot and wilhelmina bardot, who took over from their mothers three years ago. 

the coffee house is known for roasting it’s own beans - which can be bought by the pound for people who want to make their own townhouse coffee at home! - and featuring an in house bakery, full of fresh pastries, breads, and other baked goods by their wonderful baking staff, juniper bardot, melanie applebaum, and onyx gray.

the baristas are all trained on every aspect of the coffee making process, both in terms of making it themselves and knowing the ins and outs so they can answer any questions their patrons might have. sienna rhodes, nora xxx, alice xxx (3 open), are your new best friends if you’re a regular. 

three years ago, the new ownership decided to broaden the horizons and hired on a full time chef (1 open) as well as additional kitchen staff to train under and assist both the chef and the bakers, jonah kennish, (2 open). though the menu is small, it’s expertly crafted for a great after work bite to eat. after 5pm, you can even order the seasonal wine and beer, with the coffee shop featuring local brewers.
