CLASS X STUDENTS GOT BLESSED IN HAVAN CEREMONY
21 Feb., BCM School, Chandigarh Road organized a sacred Havan Ceremony in the school premises. The students along with their teachers poured holy offerings into sanctified fire. The divine utterance of Vedic verses chanted in unison raised the energy and filled the students with confidence. Though the havan is a regular & routine feature of the school activities, today’s havan and prayers were especially dedicated to seek blessings of Almighty for the students of Class Tenth who are aspiring for AISSE in March.
The Principal, Mr. D.P.Guleria gave the golden mantra “YES, I CAN” to the students and advised them to never get panicked, believe in God & themselves and put 100% efforts for performing their best in examinations. The Manager, Shri S.K. Mehta blessed the students, wished them great success in forth coming examinations and advised them to take care of their health

Matribhasha Diwas Celebration
BCM School, Chandigarh Road, celebrated the Matribhasha Diwas in its campus to commemorate the International Mother Language Day – a day dedicated to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and to promote various mother tongues and culture of the nation. UNESCO has declared 21st February every year as International Mother Language Day to promote the dissemination of mother tongues and fuller awareness of linguistic and cultural traditions throughout the world. The history of Matribhasha Diwas was narrated during morning assembly. Students who belong to states other than Punjab visited the classes in their cultural dresses and made the students aware about how some common sentences are spoken in their respective mother tongue. A singing competition was also organized. Students sang songs in Bengali, Marathi, Rajasthani, Punjabi etc. In another competition of Creative writing, students penned down few sentences in their mother tongue. The main objective of celebrating Matibhasha Diwas was to highlight the linguistic diversity of our country, to encourage the use of mother tongue, to understand and draw attention to the diversity of cultures in India and also to encourage the learning of languages other than one’s own mother tongue. Principal D.P Guleria emphasized on maintaining the cultural heritage of India by giving respect to the Mother Tongue and by feeling proud of it.

XII ASPIRANTS OF BCM SCHOOL GOT BLESSED
Feb. 11, BCM School, Chandigarh Road organized a sacred Havan Ceremony in the school Yagyashala on Monday to seek divine blessings for Class XII aspirants who are going to appear in AISSSE in the month of March.
The students poured holy offerings into sanctified fire amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras. It is noteworthy that the havan has been a regular feature of their school life right from the nursery. By ensuring students’ participation in daily havan and prayers, the school boosts their spiritual growth besides imparting them the best training in academics & co-curricular activities.
Divine melodies sung by the school choir raised the energy level even higher. The teachers showered their blessings with flower petals on the students.
The School Principal, Mr. D.P.Guleria, motivated the students to have faith in God’s plans for them, their own abilities and make the best use of their potentials for welfare of all. Mr. Principal also hoped that the students would come true to the expectations of their parents and the school.
The School Manager, Shri S.K. Mehta & the Executive Director Academics Sh. Prem Kumar were also present on the occasion to bless the students and wish them success. They shared some valuable tips with the students that can help them stay stress free & well prepared during exams. The ceremony concluded with distribution of Prasad to all.

NATIONAL VOTERS DAY CELEBRATION BY SVEEP (SYSTEMATIC VOTER’S EDUCATION AND ELECTORAL PARTICIPATION PROGRAM) AT B.C.M SCHOOL, CHANDIGARH ROAD, LUDHIANA
For instilling the purpose of “ Greater Participation For A Stronger Democracy, “the flagship program of the Election Commission Of India, SVEEP (Systematic Voter’s Education And Electoral Participation Program) in the supervision of  Mr Sanyam Aggarwal (IAS) CEO,Ludhiana Smart City cum Electoral Registration Officer, organised a plethora of activities for students  of BCM School sector 32 to acquaint them with the  electoral process which included declamation contest, Drawing & colouring of symbols of political parties of India, Slogan writing on National Election  & Poster making on National Elections. More than 4000 Students volunteered in the quest to promote voter literacy and stimulate eligible citizens to vote on 5th February,2019. The chief guest Mr O.P Kapoor(Returning Officer,Election Superintendant)addressed the winners with trophies and participation certificate and regarded the students for their optimum confidence and sheer effort to spread awareness on this sensitive topic. Manrajpreet Kaur a student of class V bagged the first position in poster making competition in addition to which Raghav of class VIII-B bagged the first position, samridhi of Class VII-E bagged second position and Nandini of Class VII-I bagged third position in the declamation contest.Kashish, a student of class VIII, aforesaid rightly “We must unite to build a participative democracy in India”. The school principal Sh. D. P. Guleria ji stirred the students to make an informed decision during the elections and spread voter awareness among people as well.

FAREWELL SCIENCE AND MEDICAL STREAMS RECEIVE A WARM SEND OFF Mata Thakur Devi Auditorium at BCM School, Chandigarh Road was adorned aesthetically for the scintillating occasion of the valediction party for the outgoing students of Class XII Science and Medical Sections. The students as well teachers struggled with nostalgic emotions on recalling their achievements and fun filled moments of school life as a PowerPoint Presentation carried them down the memory lane. The Principal, Sh. D.P.Guleriain his address advised the students to never ignore health in their pursuit of success because without health all kind of success is meaningless. He also asked to stay honest in their thoughts, feelings and actions. Enthralling dances and hilarious comedy presented by Class XI students added more life to the show. The School Editor Komal Gandhi and Harshitexpressed their gratitude on behalf of all Class XII aspirants towards the school and teachers for shaping up their lives. Angelic beauties and handsome guys in gorgeous attires rocked the stage with their elegant ramp walks. Stealing the hearts of audience, they gave really tough times to judges to choose winners out of them. Shortlisted contestants for the coveted titles were questioned about different arenas to assess their wit & wisdom to further select the winners. Ajay and PreetKanwalwere declared Mr. Farewell & Ms. Farewell. The titles of Mr. Handsome and Miss Elegant were grabbed by Atuland Pulkin. The winners were honored with trophies by the Principal Sh. BCM BIDS ADIEU TO COMMERCE AND HUMANTIES STREAMS
BCM School, Chandigarh Road organized a valediction party for the students of Class XII Commerce and Humanities Sections to bid a fond farewell to the outgoing students. Adding life to the party, a PowerPoint Presentation was showcased that carried the students down the memory lane recalling their achievements and fun filled moments of school life. The Principal, D.P.Guleria in his address advised the students to realize the importance of discipline, focus and hard work. He inspired them to stay focused on their aim of life and be responsible citizens who could contribute in nation building. The School Captain Lovanshi expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of all class XII aspirants towards the school and teachers for shaping up their lives. Sharing a golden mantra of life she advised to value one’s work, health and family. The ramp walk by gorgeously attired girls and boys was the show stealer. Shortlisted contestants for the coveted titles answered to judges’ questions confidently. Inderpal of Commerce and Lovanshi of Humanities were declared Mr. Farewell & Ms. Farewell. The other titles Mr. Handsome and Miss Elegant were grabbed by Prabhjot Singh and Manisha of Humanities. The celebration reached to crescendo with rocking Bhangra presented by Class XI students and culminated with Photography Session and Sumptuous lunch.
