"Would have been rather unfortunate if you didn't feel the same way." He chuckled. "Now, what do you say about heading home? To mine, I mean... or we could go back to yours if you'd prefer that... whatever makes you comfortable."
Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink and her eyes closed when he cupped her face. If someone back home had told her that she would be weak in the knees for Darcy then she would have laughed them in the face. But here she stood, her heart screaming his name. "Good because I love you too, my love"

"The nineties." He corrected. The memories he had of a life in the eighties didn't feature the adventures of Mulder and Scully. It was still such a settling thing, having memories of two separate lives that were both at odds and similar. "It's a good show."
"the X files? oh, that's an older show right? i think it was popular in like the 80s or somehting like that." tk pointed out. "my dad might know it. he watched a lot of sci-fi stuff."

"They're not supposed to." His brow furrowed. "There must be some sort of issue." He reached his hand out, placing it on the other man's arm. "Stop jamming the button like that, it's not going to do anything." Flipping the cover on the alarm button, he pressed it once. "Either we'll get someone come through on that speaker there or we'll get someone here to free us soon enough."
@bcrncoldx for a super mega late overdue starter
"That. . .doesn't sound good." Kili said, as the elevator halted to a stop. "Do these things normally do that?" He keeps hitting the button.

"Perhaps she doesn't like having her belly rubbed? Or is she just trying to play with you?" He hummed lightly. "I don't think it's infected, but you do need to be careful. Some antiseptic ointment and a gauze pad covering should do the trick."
"She have a scratching post but sometimes when I rub her belly she does this" Jumin said with a chuckle.

"Great. Would you be able to point me in the direction?" There had to be something that would help explain her dreams. She needed to make sense of it all, and she didn't know how else to. "Yeah, come by sometime. I promise not everything is expensive. I try to keep the prices down so people actually buy stuff."
"Dream symbolism?" he couldn't deny that his interest was piqued. It wasn't everyday someone walks in and asks such a interesting question. "I do believe we have some books about that, yeah" he then walked up to her. "Cool. I may check it out"

"I'm afraid that's not going to be the last time that happens, miss. Men will take the opportunities where they can." He'd seen enough of it in his time, on his cases and just in day to day life. "She got off rather lucky. I'm Sherlock and our brother is Mycroft. I've never been entirely sure what our parents were thinking when it came to names."
"I am alright. I am mostly annoyed" she told him and shook her head. "It was clear as day that I didn't want company and yet that man just barged into my personal space ruining the moment I was having" she sighed. Men had always annoyed Elizabeth Bennet but the men of this time period truly stood out from the men she was used to. And not in a good way. "Enola. That is a beautiful name"

"If you cut the contact he won't be able to see he can still get a rise out of you. It's clear that's what he wants. Don't give him the satisfaction of knowing it's bothering you." He shrugged. "You thought he was cute. You can't knowing everything about someone at the start."
BUck nodded at the other, because he knew that he was right. it was just not easy sometimes because the man knew how to get under his skin. "I need to try to not let him bother me, you are right. Ugh, what did I ever see in that idiot? I swear I have the worst taste in partners."

Rupert's mouth opened to reply but the words didn't come, instead his eyebrows raised in shock as the vampire took his hand and placed it on their head. "You've never been of sound mind. I've read everything the Council has on you." He pulled his hand away, cradling it against his chest as if he had been burned. "You're clearly after something, and you're trying to unsettle me."
Grabbing one of Rupert's wrists, they moved his hand to the top of their head and shrugged. "Check for yourself but I am pretty certain that I am of sound mind saying all of these things" they smirked and arched a brow. "Why would I find you handsome? Because I have eyes and my eyesight is pretty damn good if I do say so myself"

"You, losing your cool?" She laughed at the nudge. "I don't believe it," she teased, "you're the most level-headed person I know!" They both knew that wasn't true.
"Oh I am not a patient woman by any means. But I do try to be.. sometimes" she chuckled and nudged Eloise. "I do however lose my cool from time to time"

"I also have a younger sister." It was curious how that matched up. Dickie wasn't someone that James would ever describe as the ideal son. "Nothing, and that's the problem. He knew he was to inherit, so he always acted as if he's entitled to everything. He's arrogant and unpleasant to be around." And James was glad that he wasn't in the city.
"Two older brothers and one little sister. I felt a lot of pressure from a young age due to the fact that my oldest brother just seemed to be the ideal son" he mumbled and shrugged. He had never felt jealousy towards Sonny but that didn't mean he had not felt the pressure. "Oh? What has he done to make you hate him so much?"

"I studied English. But I graduated two years ago. So if you've only just started then we probably didn't have class together..." When he told her his name she went pale. "That's my name. Bridgerton, not Gregory. Could you imagine a girl called Gregory?" She huffed a nervous laugh. It couldn't be, could it? "My younger brother is called Gregory..."
❝ i am not certain i can answer. what do you study? i have recently started to study history ❞ he cannot remember he has seen her there ❝ do i? i do not have any siblings what i know of. my name is gregory bridgerton ❞

She laughed delightedly. "Yes, another day in DC." Her grin widened. "I turned one hundred and ninety back in January. There's far more to the world around you than you can imagine in your little human brain."
After all of the years he had spent in Washington D.C he had gotten used to the unexplainable so he didn't really react when she told him his age. Letting out a low whistle, he chuckled. "Yet another day in D.C"

"Well, I suppose I would have got some excellent entertainment in watching the two of you not commit." She still remembered what those first days of love felt like for her and Spike, over one hundred and forty years ago. "Listen to that voice, Olenna, if it's telling you it will then it shall." Her head shook. "I'm not adorable!"
"Oh god I don't want to even entertain the thought of dancing around it for one moment longer. It took us long enough and now we will just have to wait and see if what we have will stand the test of time. But something is telling me that it will" she smiled. Arching a brow, she hummed. "Adorable indeed"

Eloise nodded. "Good. Great, even." She hummed. "I could maybe see about getting some books from work? I'm sure they'd be happy to donate." Give the women and children in the centre something to entertain themselves with.
"Yes. We have therapists that can help and talk to the children and make sure that their voices are heard too and that they understand that they are safe" she smiled softly. "Yes exactly. And I would like for each woman that comes here to truly feel safe and protected. The police department is on speed dial"

"Well, I assume that there are others that feel similarly to you? Looking for something... casual." That had never been him. Uncommon for a man in his position, but it had never been something that had interested him. "Why break a habit of a lifetime?"
"Not a proposal but a relationship. I guess I have to make a badge that says that I am not looking for a relationship at the moment. I don't wanna go around crushing the hopes and dreams of single women" she said and smirked while she looked at him. "Maybe you should change that?"

"It's been well over a year and the dots still aren't connecting." And it was a struggle for Dale, no longer sure in his sense of self. "There must be a few thousand in the city the same as me at least." He came across people in similar situations often enough. "What do you have so far?"
"I wish I knew the answer to that one. But the rest is on you. One day all of the dots will be connected and you will know what happened in the past. But for now you have to talk to someone who understands what you are going through" he nodded. "That's what I am trying to find out"
