thank you for a successful talent show! with that, there is a grand announcement to be made: there are a total of FIVE WINNERS! below are their names:

the journey isn’t over yet, however! these five winners have been chosen to attend a PRIVATE AUDITION with the axis label companies!

a representative of axis labels steps forward, taking the mic as the applause for the winners slowly die down. “we have seen your performances, and that is the first part of your audition. next, we want to see whether you’ll be a right fit for us, whichever company that may be.”

the winners are invited to the seocho training facility on saturday, june 14, at 9am sharp. they will be guided to different audition rooms, where they will be seated before a panel of interviewers. these interviews will be based on the performance during the talent show. however, they will also be looking at your character, paying close attention to how you answer their questions, figuring out your core motivations and whether you are someone worth investing in based on what they have gathered from this interview.

axis labels has announced that they will be expanding their hold in the market through the production of a drama. they have chosen to strategically select the actors from their talented pool of trainees. this move not only showcases the label's commitment to nurturing emerging talent but also aims to elevate their visibility, captivating audiences with fresh faces and compelling narratives.

while neither sr media nor axis labels have yet to disclose the drama that they will be producing, it is clear that they are putting a lot into this, and that their intent is to make their mark in the drama industry.

— COMMUNITY TALENT SHOW!

It starts out as rumours at first. A large building in Seongsu is suddenly covered up with scaffolding, and the words "AXIS LABEL CAFE" are bright and clear at the top. It isn’t until news articles begin to make waves, are the rumours confirmed. Axis Labels has decided to open up a POP-UP CAFE in SEONGSU - the trendiest neighbourhood in Seoul.

Axis Labels has rented out a building in Seongsu, and will be holding a grand opening celebration on 26TH MAY! It is a multi-storey cafe, with a small stage for performances on the first floor, along with some drinks, and a larger variety of pastries on the second along with pastries named after each member of an Axis Label boy group! On the third floor, a rooftop garden is set up to enjoy the view, and the nice spring-like weather!

For our current in-character idol group VYBE the pastries available are:

Unlike other grand openings, Axis Labels have decided to go all-out this time by holding a COMMUNITY TALENT SHOW! This isn’t your typical community talent show, where the prize is simply a certificate or trophy. No! Axis Labels have announced that the winners of this talent show, stand a chance to have a PRIVATE AUDITION with one of their subsidiary labels (Studio Delta, SR Media and Lime Entertainment)! Netizens speculate that this community talent show is a ruse to garner more trainees in the ever-growing label.

Muses are allowed to perform the following at the talent show, be it in pairs or solo:

Solo/Duet song to sing (self-composed songs are fine)

Solo/Duet dance performance

Playing an instrument (Only the keyboard and guitar will be available. If muses wish to play any other instrument, they will need to prepare and bring it on their own).

A monologue from a k-drama

A scene from a k-drama in pairs

If muses wish to work in pairs, they may both have a chance at winning the talent show.

WOOK and SEOJUN (@noelxbe and @beseojun) have also been announced to be SPECIAL JUDGES for this community talent show, along with a few other Axis Label staff! So make sure to give it your best!

hi there! for workshops threads, the threads would have to be with someone else taking the same workshop. so for the example of a language workshop: your muse would need to thread with another muse taking the same language workshop in order for it to be valid for points. we hope this helps!

seollal (설날), or korean lunar new year (음력 설날) is a holiday and celebration which marks the first day of the korean lunar calendar. it is the most celebrated traditional holiday in korea, and will be celebrated from 27th - 30th january this year, with seollal falling on 29th january. families would traditionally gather from different parts of both korea and the world to celebrate and partake in ancient rituals and celebrate their elders while making wishes for the new year to come. 

the most common practices during seollal include getting pocket money from your elders after bowing to them and wishing them a new year, paying respects to your ancestors, wearing colorful hanbok, playing yutnori or other traditional folk games, and of course feasting with tteokguk (rice cake soup), jeon (savory pancakes) and other common dishes. it’s a time to celebrate, after all!

some of the most common traditions during this time of the year include: bowing and offering the elders new year wishes and receiving pocket money from them, paying respects to ancestors, wearing colorful hanbok, playing a variety of traditional games including yutnori, and enjoying a feast with delicious food! 

as a reminder, trainees have no mandatory classes scheduled during national holidays (seollal day), though the buildings will remain open for anyone who wishes to practice independently. there is no penalty for returning home to visit family at that time.

as we sit down to write our new year resolutions for a better 2025, we certainly can't heave out our hobbies! here at wannabe, we'd like to kick off a new season by making a conscious effort to keep up with good rp habits and foster a healthy writing community. in order to help everyone start the new year out right, we've come up with a few challenges, each with their own point rewards, to build up the foundation for productive rp habits throughout 2025.

03: DAILY ACTIVITY CHALLENGE

one of the most common pieces of advice for writers is to try to write every single day, even if it's not your best work, and push through writers block to keep the creativity flowing.

we are offering three options for this challenge, each more difficult than the last but with increasing point earnings opportunities. the challenge starts today, january 1, 2025 and must be completed before january 31, 2025.

TIER 1: 7 CONSECUTIVE DAYS - post a starter, reply, or 250 word (minimum) solo at least once per day for seven consecutive days to earn an extra +10 performance skills or ancillary points. can be claimed up to twice during the challenge period.

TIER 2: 14 CONSECUTIVE DAYS - post a starter, reply, or 250 word (minimum) solo at least once per day for fourteen consecutive days to earn an extra +25 performance skills or ancillary points. can be claimed only once during the challenge period.

TIER 3: 30 CONSECUTIVE DAYS - post a starter, reply, or 250 word (minimum) solo at least once per day for thirty consecutive days to earn an extra +60 performance skills or ancillary points. can be claimed only once during the challenge period.

please note that the points from different tiers cannot be combined. for example, if you complete the 30 day tier, you can only claim the 60 points; you cannot add the 25 points from 14 days or 10 points from 7 days.

as we come to the end of 2024, the admin team would like to acknowledge how far wannabe has come and how none of this would have been possible without the wonderful community and members we have. as such we have decided to hold an exciting activity to kick start the new year! 

what activity you may ask? we’ve decided to hold a writing challenge! while the challenge will not start immediately, we would like to give everyone a quick heads up on what to prepare for!

we hope that this challenge serves as a soft incentive to write more, as well as to foster welcoming rp habits! we would like to remind everyone that this challenge is not mandatory, but those that participate will receive rewards that will be further explained in detail later on!

for the christmas concert, what kind of thing would the trainees introducing their groups be expected to say/do? is it like how the produce 101 etc trainee groups would introduce themselves? if this makes sense

hello! the trainees introducing the group are expected to do a general introduction.

eg: hello! we are the female trainees from sr media! we're so excited to be here! today we'll be performing as you wish by our seniors, wonderland!

trainees may tweak the introduction as they like, but should not stray too far from the example above. there will be no individual introduction per trainee, just the general introduction by the chosen trainee.

the exception will be with project green, which will be shared in more depth in the next project green post!

we'd also like to clarify that this does not make the current non-public trainees public yet, as they have yet to be introduced to the public in an official way.
