Solar Charged Heat Ward
Tumblr media
an old spell of mine i had posted on an old side account before deleting the blog, but i’m reposting it here on my new witchcraft side blog. a jar spell that charges in the sun to keep your space protected. this ward is strongest in late spring and summer.
☀️ gather: jar, black tea leaves, green tea leaves, cayenne pepper, apple seed, black candle
☀️ light your black candle
☀️ layer the ingredients one by one into your jar. black tea grounds to expel negative energy and entities, green tea leaves to amplify energy and behave as a catalyst, cayenne pepper for offensive magic/quick results/heat, then one by one place a desired amount of apple seed*
☀️ as you drop your apple seed, affirm “for every attack on this ward, it is reflected to the attacker ten times the amount for every apple seed in this jar”
☀️ spit inside the jar and seal with candle wax
☀️ place in a section of your home where it can be in direct sunlight and recharge (or reheat) as needed.
*while apple seed may be used as a love spell ingredient, due to the resin properties within it can also be used for curses*

Elemental Wards
A follow-up to my Crash Course on Warding. I’ve been thinking of different ways to do energy wards lately, rather than just “here’s an energy barrier that keeps X out.” If you like working with a particular element, here are a few ideas.
Fire
Burn away impurities as you enter your home (stress, worry, etc.)
Burn anything that would wish you harm
Add warmth to your home
Water
Wash away negativity
Wash away residual energies from work, etc. so you don’t bring your job home with you
Drown anything that would wish you harm
Air
Blow away negativity
Keep the energy in your home circulating to help avoid a stale, stagnant atmosphere
Lift you up to a happier state as you enter your home
Earth
Ground as you enter your home and reconnect with the earth
Negativity falls through cracks in the ground
Vines trap anything you want to keep out

Energy Work Terminology
Tumblr media
Metawork Terminology Series: [ Astral Work ] [ Spirit Work ]
I frequently use a lot of energy work terms that have specific meanings to me based on my experiences and understanding of energy. I’ve seen these terms used by other energy workers too, but the way in which they are used seems to differ somewhat to each person’s background, experience, and beliefs.
For other energy workers curious to compare definitions and for clients of mine who want a better understanding of what I mean by these terms, I wanted to share my personal definitions! These definitions are not put forward as the only possible meanings, they are simply based on my own experiences.
Energy Basics, Types & Bodies
Energy - The underlying forces of the universe (different from physics energy) that can be sensed, manipulated, and used as the basis of magical workings. Every entity in the universe has energy residing in and around it.
Energy type - A distinct type of energy that has its own properties such as water energy, air energy, fae energy, nature energy, void energy, etc.
Energy alignment - When an entity (such as an object, spirit, or person) has a significant connection with or association with a specific energy type.
Energy body - The interior and exterior aspects of someone’s entire energy field running through and intertwined with their astral body. The energy body contains energy centers and channels that intake, process, and expel energy in addition to other specialized functions.
Energy signature - The “DNA” of an energy body that shows the specific composition of energy types and alignments that entity has. It can sometimes also reveal or hint at features of an entity’s energy and astral bodies.
Energy system - The specific way in which all the parts of your energy body operate both internally with each other and externally with energies and entities in the surrounding environment.
Energy centers - A nexus of energy where a significant amount of energy is present and being processed in some kind of way. Energy centers typically have specific functions within an energy system.
Energy channel - A stream where energy flows from one location to another. In an energy system, energy centers are connected by channels.
Energy modes - Classifications for entities who have certain types of energy systems. Some examples include energy vampires, energy suns, empaths, and dischargers. See more information here [x].
Energy Work & Reading
Metawork - The practice and discipline of the three highly interrelated fields of energy work, spirit work, and astral work.
Energy work - The practice and discipline of reading, manipulating, channeling, or directing the flow of energy. A sub-field of metawork. This is not necessarily a type of witchcraft, but can be referred to as witchcraft when energy work is incorporated into someone’s witchcraft practice. Many other types of magical traditions that are not forms of witchcraft also include energy work.
Energy reading - The practice and discipline of sensing energy. A sub-field of energy work. Some examples include aura reading, energy system reading, astral body reading, or energy signature reading.
Energy programming - Using a specific method or technique to direct or manipulate energy in a certain set of ways. Energy programming is an integral aspect of energy work.
Intent - When I say “intent,” I’m referring to the overall purpose and design of the way in which I’ve programmed energy for a magical working.
Energy tether - A connection between two different spirits, objects, people, or other distinct entities. Energy tethers can be used as energy channels to move energy from one entity to another, but they could be used for other purposes.
Charging - Directing energy from any external source to another entity, usually an inanimate object. The object may retain the energy it was charged with for a certain period of time, possibly making it more effective for magical workings.
Energy battery - An object that has been highly charged and can retain this charge for later use. The purpose of a battery is typically only to store the energy it was charged with.
Grounding - Purposefully releasing energy from yourself to an external location. Energy suns must regularly ground to sustain a healthy energy system, but anyone is capable of grounding.
Energy feeding - The opposite of grounding, or purposefully intaking energy from any external source. Energy vampires must use energy feeding to sustain a healthy energy system, but anyone is capable of energy feeding.
Cleansing - The removal of unwanted energies, which usually resets an entity back to its original state. Sometimes also includes replacing the unwanted energies with desired energies.
Energy Shield - Energy shaped and programmed for protection then attached to an entity (such as an object, spirit, or person). Weaker than a ward and more temporary, shields are usually a quick and ephemeral form of defense.
Energy Ward - Like a shield, except generally much larger and attached to a location. This could be a physical or astral place. Personal wards are attached to an entity (such as an object, spirit, or person), but generally are much stronger and last much longer than a shield.
Ward System - A multilayer, complex set of wards. Typically each layer is programmed for a different type of function and when combined these layers synergetically work together for well-designed protection.
If any of these definitions resonate with you, feel free to use them but if quoting me or reposting somewhere, please attribute credit back to me. Thanks!

A Crash Course in Warding
Let’s just start a series of crash courses in witchcraft, since sometimes we need to learn things the quick and dirty way. Today, let’s talk about wards.
What are wards? Wards are protective energy barriers. They keep things out. You can place them around your home, certain rooms, even on certain objects. With practice and clear intentions, you can focus the wards to block out everything or only certain things. We’ll get to that in a bit.
Why should I ward my space and my things? Wards can keep out all sorts of things you don’t want in your home. They can block out negative entities, wayward spirits, mischievous entities, demons, and (if you’re really good at what you’re doing) even gods. Some people ward their divination tools so they know there are no spirits tampering with the results.
So what do I need to do first? Cleanse. This is very important. Wards are kind of like walls, or perhaps more accurately, bubbles. If you don’t clean the space first, you might trap things inside your ward bubble. You do not want that. There are lots of methods of cleansing, from burning sage to spritzing oil-infused water. Find a method you’re comfortable with and cleanse everything you’re going to be warding.
I’ve cleansed my home/item. Now what? Now we ward. I’m going to give you a couple methods. Let’s start with my favorite, incense warding.
Incense warding can also be done with spritzes of water/essential oil blends or herb-infused water if you can’t have smoke in your space. Whichever you’re using, you want to have a blend of protective herbs. Bay leaves, cinnamon, ginger, mustard seed, and salt are some great options that you can find in the grocery store, no fancy witch shop necessary. If you’re using incense, make sure you’re using natural incense and not super cheap stuff that’s artificially scented. The magic is in the herbs, and you won’t get that from fake scents.
How to Incense/Spritz Ward an Item
Smoke or spray item.
Visualize the smoke or spray clinging to the item and wrapping around it like a tight blanket, protecting it from anything that would cause harm (or interference, etc.).
How to Incense/Spritz Ward Your Space
Pick a place to start. I always start at my altar, but it’s up to you. If you’re doing multiple floors, start either at the top or bottom floor.
Moving continuously to your right, smoke or spray along the walls and door frames. As you go, imagine a barrier being formed around the walls, ceiling, and floor, pushing outwards to fill the room. Visualize the smoke or spray forming the barrier to keep out anything that will do you harm. [If you have a hard time with visualization, you can simply focus on the intent of the smoke or spray keeping things out.]
Keep moving right, following the layout of your home, making sure you get all the closet spaces. You basically want to outline the entire area you’re protecting, whether it’s you’re room or your whole house.
For multiple floors, repeat on each level.
For big layouts where there are rooms in the middle, go around those rooms as well.
I like to reinforce the wards over outside doors, windows, and mirrors. These are all passages of sorts, and when I reach them, I use the incense to draw a pentagram in the air over them. This is entirely up to you.
You’re done when you’ve reached the point where you began.
So why do we go to the right? Is that important? Kind of. Going to the right is like going clockwise. It’s about making things and progression, where going to the left or counter-clockwise is about deconstruction or reversal. [I read this idea in a witchy book a long time ago and will try to find a source when I can. If you honestly don’t feel it makes a difference, do whatever you’re comfortable with.]
Can I place wards that keep out certain things but not others? Sure. When you’re going around your space/warding your item, your intent is what’s important. I like to ward out entities that mean harm - it’s nice and general and doesn’t keep the fae out. Some people might want certain spirits and not others. Have your intentions clear in your mind as you place your wards.
That’s neat and all, but what are some other ways to ward? Let’s list a few.
Symbol/Sigil Wards
Choose (or make) a symbol or sigil that has protective properties. I’ve done this with Pluto’s astrological symbol because I worship him and it’s my way of being like, “Hey, Pluto. Please protect me, kthanxbai.” Pentagrams are nice and basic witchy/pagan symbols if you like them.
Draw the symbol over doors and windows. You do not literally have to draw it. It can be in water, incense smoke, or just your finger against the surface if you want.
As you’re drawing, make sure you have your intentions in mind - that nothing harmful can pass through this door, that the windows remain closed against entities, etc.
Energy Bubbles (if you have control over your energy)
Pick an item - any item.
Get your warding intentions in mind.
Channel lots of energy into the item. Visualize it emanating from the item in a bubble to fill your space.
If you’ve got mad skillz, you can form the bubble to the walls and be super exact with where its barriers are.
Vocal Wards
If you like spoken (or thought) spells, come up with a small chant to protect your space.
You can repeat this chant as you focus on your item being protected or as you walk around your home, protecting every room.
This is really great to incorporate into basically any other form of warding and gives your magic an extra bit of oomph.
I’ve heard wards can “fade” over time. True or false? Wards are just energy. Like all energies, they can disperse and weaken over time, or if something particularly nasty puts effort into destroying them. Redo your wards every so often (I do mine every few months, but it’s up to you), and especially before spiritual interactions. I also like to do mine after I’ve had lots of company, to kind of clear out family’s lingering energies and reinforce what I don’t want in my house.
In general, the intent of your wards is the most important part. Know what you want to keep out. This concludes our crash course on warding. Now go forth and protect some stuff!

Protection/Warding Black Salt
Tumblr media
Not to be confused with volcanic salt/Himalayan black salt/kala namak. Black salt has strong protective properties, especially when combined with other protective/uncrossing herbs (herbs meant to undo a curse or hex). It’s used to absorb negative energy, create wards, and undo curses. It’s also good for banishing and binding. Here’s my recipe:
What you’ll need:
Cleansing items, such as smoke, bells, spray, whichever you personally use.
Sea Salt
Charcoal Disk (or charcoal powder)
Black Candle
Rosemary
Garlic Powder
Chili Powder
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Paprika
Black Pepper
Black Candle
Bowl
Mortar & Pestle
Black stones/crystals
Any additional protective items you may have. (Here I gathered dried red peppers, dried chili peppers, lemon, sage, and ashed from a Litha bonfire.) These items are for You to draw some extra energy from, and won’t be directly added to the salt.
Frankincense and/or Dragon’s Blood incense.
Instructions:
First, cleanse your space using whatever best works for you.
After cleansing, start your frankincense and/or dragon’s blood incense, this will be going for the duration of the spell.
Light your black candle.
Gather your supplies as seen in the picture.
As always, make sure your intention is strong, and continuously draw from it. Return to your intent no matter how often your mind wanders (which it will, that’s ok).
In a bowl, mix the salt with the herbs first.
Remember your other protective items are there for you to use. If needed, refocus on their protective energies and draw from that.
Use a mortar and pestle to crush the charcoal disk separately. This takes a lot of physical energy, and it is very messy. If you prefer to use charcoal powder, that’s ok, though charcoal disks will be cheaper. I like charcoal disks because I feel more energetically involved in/connected to the process.
Mixing counterclockwise, mix the very finely crushed charcoal into the salt. Mix. Use as many charcoal disks needed to get to the level of darkness you want.
Mind wandering? Remember your intent! Refocus!
When you’re done, transfer the black salt into a jar and set the crystals around it in a circle. Let it continue to build and charge this way, until you feel it is ready. If you’re not sure, it can also be until the candle or incense goes out.
Tumblr media
Done! Sprinkle this around the parameter of your wards, such as along doorways and windows. It can also be used during unhexing/curse breaking spells, general protection spells, banishing, and binding.
This is NOT FOR CONSUMPTION.
Even if you used edible activated charcoal, know that 1. charcoal interacts with many medications by basically absorbing them and rendering them useless, including birth control, diabetes medications, cancer drugs, and more. and 2. I’m not sure this would taste great?

🛡 Warding 🛡
Disclaimer: This is all based on my research, path, opinion & experiences! Intro: I really was holding out on doing this post because it’s such a big, important topic to cover and I really don’t want to mess it up or get anything wrong. This post needs to be done though, people have asked if I have such a post and an anon suggested it. So finally, here it is.  - What Is Warding? Warding is a type of magick, it is the act of creating an energetic barrier around you, your home, an object, ect. They can be temporary or permanent, although typically they are cast with the long term in mind. They can banish or turn away whatever you choose. Warding is an excellent skill to have because it can keep you, and even others safe and with practice you can do it anytime with just about whatever you have on hand.  When Should I Ward? Whenever you want an energetic barrier around you, most people consistently ward their home, themselves or their place of practice. Some people even ward their space every time they prepare for a spell. It should be done consistently in any area you want protected, but exactly where and how often is entirely up to the practitioner.  What Should I Do Before? Cleanse, a ward is a barrier of energy and in the same way that it keeps things out it also keeps things in. You don’t want to trap anything inside of it. Cleanse yourself before you ward yourself. Cleanse your space before you ward your space!  Tips Before You Ward- Phrasing Keep the phrasing in mind! You don’t want to keep anything out that you want in, or let something in that you want out. If you’re chanting or using sigils ect keep in mind exactly what you want to keep out both in your methods and in your mind. Covering everything Make sure to cover everything, a ward is useless if there’s a weakness in it or if the ceiling & floor aren’t probably covered. Be super thorough!  Layering Your Wards One small little wimpy barrier? Ha, the spirits say as they scramble into your home to wreak havoc! You need to layer your wards, don’t just use one method one time, there’s no such thing as too much warding.  What Are Some Ways That I Can Ward? Now we’ll get right down to the methods you can use to ward yourself and your space! Remember that warding is important and needs to be effective, don’t try anything that you don’t have experience with for warding. At first, focus on the stuff you know. If you like sigils, use sigils at first and slowly work your way into using other more complex methods or methods that solely rely on your abilities. Circle Casting You cast a circle by summoning the four elements to protect & energize what is in the circle.  - Here’s my post about circles & how to cast them  Chanting/Speaking Come up with a protective chant you can use to ward your space. This chant could be someone else’s or your own as long as you feel it’s effective. Speak it aloud and visualize a layer of energy protecting your space.  Incense Burn a protective incense in the space you’d like to ward and visualize a barrier protecting your space. Athame Draw out the line of your ward with your athame, visualize the wall appearing, covering everything with a thick layer of energy.  Spraying Spray a mix of blessed/magickal waters and or herbs with protective properties in the space you want to ward.  Sigils Create a sigil using your favorite method with the intent to “ward” or “protect/protection.” Then charge and activate it as a layer of protection! Here’s my post on sigils if you’re interested in that: - Sigil Post Jar Spells You could mix up a jar spell for warding, set it in your house and forget it as a layer of warding.  - My protective jar spell post Anointment Anoint the doorways of your space, you could also anoint the ceiling, floor, walls, corners, honestly go for it.  Salt Sprinkle salt all around the edge of your home or space. Make sure to sprinkle salt on the INSIDE of your harm as salt can harm plants & wildlife if used outside. If you’d like to make a barrier on the outside of your home, you can use dried & crushed eggshells in place of salt. - Post on how to make eggshell powder here -  Hag stones Hag stones are stones with holes in them that have been corroded into the stone because of rushing water. It is believed rushing water is protective & cleansing so if you wear a stone that sat in it long enough to have parts corroded away, that the stone will maintain and keep those properties with it. It’s a great way to personally ward yourself, and an excuse to go out in nature.  They look like this!
Tumblr media
Energy Manipulation If you’ve got a knack for manipulating energy, you can create a barrier through work and visualization that surrounds yourself or your space. This isn’t recommended for beginners though! Links: - Horse Warding Charm By @anothersusurrus - House Warding Spritz Mixture By @seleneblackwell Both of these are great if you’re looking for specific spells, types of magick, correspondences, sigils, ect! - Protection Magic Masterpost Part 1 By @auricwitch - Protection Magic Masterpost Part 2 By @auricwitch Personal Wards Also remember not just to ward your space but yourself, if you layer your home with wards, what happens when you leave? Exactly. Keep yourself safe too! Circle casting & hag stones are great methods I mentioned above that are good for personal warding.  Can I Ward Specific Things And Not Others? Absolutely! I mentioned this in the phrasing section of this post, keep in mind exactly what you want to keep out when you’re warding. I like words like “negative” or “harmful” or “with ill intent” because they don’t necessarily keep out the Fae or positive/neutral spirits but it does keep out anything that wants to harm you in general. Just think about it ahead of time, find wording or a phrase you like and keep that in mind as you ward.  What If I Live With People? If you’re out of the broom closet, explain to your family/roommates what you’re doing and why you’re doing it and make sure they’re cool with it and are aware of what’s going on. If you’re not out of the broom closet, you may have to resort to only warding yourself/your room, & that’s okay!  I hope this helps someone or teaches them something new! Enjoy! Have a lovely day 💖

Lemon Test
Have I been cursed? Only one way to find out! The lemon test, much like the lemon curse, uses a lemon to find out whether or not you have been cursed: Buy one lemon. Anoint a black slow burning candle with an oil with a scent that reminds you of the person who you believe is cursed. Cut the lemon in half and write the name of the person on a small piece of paper and place it on one half of the lemon. Lemons that are cut and left out of the refrigerator only last one day before they start to go bad. leave the lemon halves on the table next to the anointed candle that is burning. Be very concise and ask if the person has been cursed and then leave the candle to burn with the lemon next to it. When the candle burns out, if the lemon with the small piece of paper on it is significantly more “decayed” than the other half of the lemon. Then there is a curse. If they look the same, you’re fine. When you are done with the lemon, rub it in salt and dispose of it. This won’t get rid of the curse if there is one. Just helps with determining.

quick and simple jinx/hex for when someone fucks you over 🥀
Tumblr media
this isn’t necessarily for when you have specific intentions for the person (eg. for them to feel guilt) but rather for when you need to express your anger and want for the person to get what they deserve.
you will need:
- black candle (justice)
- salt (banishing negativity)
- water
- the person who you’re jinxing’s name on a piece of white paper in black pen (as a taglock)
- optional: a tiny bit of blood (to represent the hurt they’ve caused you)
side note - this is better performed when the moon is in last quarter because that’s when banishing spells are best or on a new moon to represent new beginnings!
method:
1. fill a glass with some water and add salt. wait for it to dissolve.
2. smear the blood on the paper with the name
3. hold the paper and place the edge into the flame
4. just before the flame reaches your fingers, drop it into the salt water
5. optional: give a massive middle finger at the water & paper. it’s very cathartic.
6. blow out the candle and tip the water down a sink.
quick disclaimer: I am not responsible for any harm caused by this hex (or if it comes back three fold). please be safe both with your intentions and when casting. make sure you don’t do this hex around any flammable surfaces or materials.
I hope this helps you with whatever pain you’re going through or at least gives you a bit of relief. ❤️

💀 What I’ve Learned About Curses 💀
As the title states, this is what I’ve learned. It is all based on my experiences, opinions, and personal knowledge. Most of it comes from my grimoire.  What Is A Curse? A curse is a type of spell a person can cast on you. It can cause misfortune, health issues, financial issues, relationship issues, even in some cases death. What About Hexes & Jinxes? I also want to define hexes & jinxes before we get too into this.  • Jinxes • Temporary, can last hours, are just meant to cause a bit of bad lack but nothing too serious, are for a bit of fun or to teach someone a simple lesson.  • Hexes • Also temporary, but have greater effects, they’re a lot more curse like in that they can teach more vital lessons and can cause things like sickness.  • Curses • Permanent, can cause death, they’re for the worst, nastiest people, and the most intense situations.  In other words, they’re all negative spells. Just 3 different levels of them. The main difference is curses are permanent, the others are not, and a jinx certainly wouldn’t cause death or permanently effect someones well-being.  Are They Okay? I used to wonder this myself and have seen TONS of people ask it. It’s a matter of morality. I can’t tell you what to believe or think. It’s about you and your path.  How Do I Know If I’m Cursed? There are symptoms, I’ll go over all the ones I’m aware of. • Bad Luck/Misfortune  • Lack of motivation  • Nightmares • Bad Omens • Personal items going missing  • Plants dying • Fatigue  • Health issues/sickness • Financial issues All and any of these things can happen, they will come along suddenly and have no other explanation other than a curse.  How To Test If You’re Cursed Okay, you’ve identified you’ve got some of the symptoms, you can’t find any other reason or suspect someone specific has cursed you. The next step is testing to be sure. Here are my personal favorite ways to test for curses. The Egg Test  Break an egg, what you find inside will give you insight.  • Blood  • You’re cursed  • • White clots/chunks • There is no curse, but there is something clotting you or your life up • • Broken yolk  • There is no curse, but you have inner turmoil and need to work on it • Divination Test Ask whatever forms of divination you may have if you’re cursed.  Deity Test I don’t do deity work, but I also imagine it’d be an option to ask your deities if you’re cursed.  What To Do Next? Alright, so you’ve looked at the symptoms, they’re unusual for you. You did the tests, you’ve come to conclusion you’re cursed. Now what? • Cleansing  Cleansing is one of the foundations of witchcraft, use your favorite forms of cleansing to cleanse your space. This is a default for many witchy issues or situations anyways. But it’s a good reminder.  • Crystals  Use crystals as sources of positivity, luck, healing. To combat the symptoms of the curse. Also any crystals you can keep near you for protection will help too.  • Salt bath This a method of cleansing yourself, it may get the curse off of you. It may also help if you found something unusual in your egg (that is if you did the egg test).  • Warding  This is another thing that’s very common and simple, but effective, ward yourself and your space to make sure nothing else that’s bad or unwanted gets in. •  Deities  You could ask your deities to help remove the curse or ask them what you should do about it.  • Other witches Ask other more experienced witches what their experiences with curses are and they they recommend, get some feedback. Posts like this are nice but so is talking to someone and hearing their experiences!  Here’s some types of spells you could use to help you! Spells • Return to sender spell • Protection spell • Remove curse spell (of course)  Edited 6/24/2019 I’m sure I’ll add more to this in the future. I hope someone learned something! Enjoy! Have a lovely day (right after I just went on about curses and death for quite a while) 💖

☀💀A Pretty Big Curse💀☀
Made for an Asshole. A big Asshole. It worked the next day. I wanted this person to feel what they made me feel
Ingredients
—Bayberry (depression)
—Cayenne Pepper (anxiety)
—Chili Powder (discord)
—Dragons Blood (destruction)
—Lemongrass (bitterness)
—Tobacco (potency)
—Pepper (potency)
—A black candle
—A piece of paper with their name (make sure it’s a piece of paper thats big enough to fold in on itself, kind of like an envelope)
So what you do is you take the paper and put it on something that you don’t mind getting wax on. Light the candle near it. Let it burn while you work. Take each ingredient, put your intent into each one, and start covering their name with them. Make sure you let yourself feel what each ingredient means to you as you add them. Get angry. This is what it’s for.
Now you fold the edges of the paper over your ingredients like an envelope. Pour the black wax over it so it’s sealed. You can add sigils or symbols if you want, I personally didn’t.
Now you dispose of it. Throw it away. Flush it down a toilet. Burn it. Do what ever you feel you need to.
Always remember to cleanse yourself before and after curses. Before, to make sure you don’t have any influences other than what you want. And after, so you don’t have (super bad) negative energy that can make your life hard. I had to cleanse myself deeply twice.
Happy cursing!

The Ultimate Guide to Potion Bases
We all spend so much time thinking about the correspondences of the actual ingredients that go into our potions that we often forget to think about what the potion base represents! (At least I do.) It would be nice to have a list of all the various liquids that can be used in place of water. Naturally, I can’t think of everything but I think this is a pretty good starting point! What else can be used? Eventually, at some point down the road, I will compile all these thoughts into a book on potion making and want to include this! Keep in mind that these are my own correspondences. Let me know if you disagree or if you’d change anything up! Let’s see how big we can make this list. Also, I should probably note that not all of these liquids can be ingested. (Obviously.)
The List
Vinegar: Used for cleansing and purification potions.  Lemon Juice: Used in hexing, cursing, or revenge potions.  Cranberry Juice: Used in love potions. Apple Juice: Used in healing, knowledge, and youth potions.  Ammonia: Used in banishing, cursing, purification, and protection  Red Wine: Love potions and potions dealing with death and the afterlife.  White Wine: Used in platonic love potions as well as success brews.  Rum: Used in potions involving spirit work.  Whisky: Another good base for potion work.  Vodka: A good base for work involving rapid banishing.  Laundry detergent: Good for cleansing potions.  Oils: Used to speed up a process.  Molasses: Used in potions intended to slow a situation down.  Rubbing Alcohol: Another good base for cleansing and purification. Hydrogen Peroxide: Used in healing potions.  Milk: Used in potions to promote sleep and peace.  Sour Milk: Used to cause nightmares or in potions designed to torment. Orange Juice: For potions of solar importance, healing, success.  Soda Water: Used in potions designed to encourage laughter and giddiness.  Ginger Ale: Used in health or healing potions.  Olive Juice: Used in peace potions.  Honey: Used in potions to sweeten up another’s disposition. Syrup: Used in abundance and prosperity potions.  Beer: Used in potions intended to induce slumber.  Clam Juice: Used in aphrodisiacs.  Cough Syrup: Used in healing potions and to make someone ‘cough it up.’ Soy Sauce: Used in protection potions. (Thanks Lexa Rosean for this one!) Pineapple Juice: Used in abundance potions and fidelity potions.  Coconut Milk: Used in spiritual and magical cleansing potions.  Ice: Solid first, then melted for transformation potions. Coffee: Really, a potion in and of itself in my book. Vanilla Extract: In small amounts, used in passion potions. Witch Hazel: Used in communication and cleansing potions.
What else can you all think of?
