idk if this makes sense but if dess is the knight (which i believe she is) and kris' attack power goes up against the knight when susie and ralsei are down, if kris knows that dess is the knight, why would they go out of their way to deal more damage to her? like, obvi if it's dess then it's probably not 100% lucid dess, like, something happened to her, but considering how much kris has been implied to look up to/care for dess, why do you think they'd deal more damage to her, even if she's not exactly the same anymore? it just kinda confuses me. like do you think that their damage increasing is less toward dess and more toward, say, carol and whatever carol's plans are involving dess? bc carol seems to be coercing kris. Sorry if this is an odd question im just confused by this specific thing and i wanna understand kris' possible motives/feelings in this lol

even if you know that the person in front of you is your long-gone friend (who you can't meaningfully talk to and who acts so cruel and so strange most of the time), you still will feel upset and angry and maybe stop holding back when your other friends are badly hurt by them. it's not so easy to keep the plan in mind and to remember it's Definitely For Sure Dess when Susie and Ralsei are both collapsed. their old, strained friendship can't fully outweigh the new ones.
