one time someone online got mad at me for drawing porn of oddish. disregarding any and all discourse about whether or not pokemon pass the harkness test, im sorry, thats an onion. thats a root vegetable. if you truly believe that rule 34 of a sentient onion creature speaks to a desire to have sex with the real life equivalent, you dont have to worry about me commiting beastiality. but keep an eye on me in the produce section

op of the last post i reblogged says she aged out of the core demographic of trans reddit and she's 26.... so like, Are a lot of these shitheaded transandro pricks the same flavour truscums were, early 20s "pre-everything" guys who are throwing their frustrations in all the wrong places? idk man i feel like if a space like that is mostly younger people with less experience actually Being trans then it almost seems inevitable that it will dissolve into a mess. all the trans spaces i frequent outside tumblr either skew 40+ or are all ages with a significant amount of older trans people. idk i think that lots of younger trans people would benefit from being around older trans people

the thing about the r/trans shit is that, like ive been saying, other trans subreddits have gone through the same bullshit. r/traa was one the first ones, and i remember while i still went on there beginning to see semi frequent posts from transmascs about how "exclusionary" it was that most of the posts were made by trans women for trans women and so few posts were trans men and those that were got less focus, and while that was technically true (because the community itself was made by trans women in the first place) those posts complaining of the state of things got a lot of attention. i remember thinking that it seemed like there were a lot of transmascs on the sub but they only interacted with posts complaining about it being to transfem focused. they said they wanted more transmasc memes, but they ignored those posts in favor of complaining about trans women. at the time, it didnt seem like a big deal (and it usually wasnt yet) and i was beginning to age out of the main demogrpahic of the sub, so i very shortly left there and stopped thinking about it. it left a bad taste in my mouth when transmascs would say that transfems commenting on a transmasc meme things along the lines of "i relate but in the other way" was proof of "hostility" to transmascs, but it hadnt amounted to much, so i moved on.
but a few years after that, that discourse got bad enough that i heard about it on twitter. specifically over the "lets trade puberty" kind of posts, similar to the "venmo each other some titty" post on this site. that joke and similar ones were pretty common while i was on there, and i remember some mild complaints about them before i left. now the discourse was that it was sexual harassment for trans women to make that joke to trans men. it got bad enough that mod roles changed hands multiple times and terfs got involved (you can guess whose side they took), but the part that always stuck out to me was one comment from a trans woman. i dont even know what post it was from at this point.
the trans woman, in response to the anger coming from transmascs and in an attempt to take that anger seriously, profusely apologized for being a trans woman. and im at a point where i think thats just what these crowds want. being a trans woman is the worst thing you can be, so you need to apologize for it. cracking eggs is bad because you are making people into trans women, the worst thing you can be. you need content warnings if your post is about trans women because otherwise you are subjecting people to the worst thing you can be without warning. you need to repent and regret being a trans woman. and because being a trans woman is the worst thing you can be, there is no shitty treatment that cant be justified. the only thing you can do to appease them is apologize for existing, and even then they will not stop, because you are the worst thing you can be, and therefore you do not deserve better.
the people mad about a post getting removed will not be satisfied till the trans women involved apologize, not for the removal of the post, but for being trans women.
