Yu’s calm pace slips and now he’s power walking around this room, ripping the drawers up to try to find SOMEthing–no no this isn’t gonna work. No not at all. His weapon–he needs to grab it. It won’t do hell against Natural Bear Armor, but maybe he can slash if it rushes him– God, thank god he no longer lived in Inaba. Otherwise he’d have to round up Nanako and Dojima too…

He’s trying to make his way towards the door, at least. Time to VAMOOSE before this bear gets LOOSE.

O-okay! This has gone far enough. The loud tousling of items is really starting to unnerve him. Time to shift back before he gets too freaked out and stuck like this. It’s a quick process to go from bear to man. He’s done it a gazillion times! The younger Hanamura’s much more focused on the outside.

“Sensei? C-could you let me out? I can’t bear much more of this...”

Update: The bear still wants out. Please let him out!

It’s another two hours before Midnight.  Yet, everyone couple of minutes, Yosuke can’t help but look at the TV screen across from him.  Even with the volume on his mp3 on max to drown out the sound of thunder and rain, the wait is torturous.  Pulling off his headphones, he glances over to Ted’s bed.

“Hey, are you hungry?”

There’s no way Teddie’s getting this homework done tonight. As much as people claim that the sound of pouring rain helps with academic success, it only seems to have the opposite effect on him. He’s jumpy, and tired, and—

Okay, now that Yosuke’s bringing food into this, eating sounds like a much better time than trying to pass time with math.

“Beary. All this thinking’s made my stomach grumbly.”

He really didn’t seem to notice he was alone anymore, his posture didn’t change from where he had sunk down into the chair, you’d maybe be forgiven for thinking he’d fallen asleep, if not for the fact he seemed to be miming along to whatever song was playing. 

It was only when Teddie got very close, that his eyes seemed to flutter open, having trouble focusing at first, but… that had been pretty normal for him since he came home. He was still thin, and tired looking. Maybe they should have had him stay in the hospital for longer. “Ted..” His voice was hoarse. “When did you get home?”

“Yosuke...” Seeing his brother like this was painful. He wasn’t actually at peace. He was in pain. Their parents should have forced Yosuke to stay in the hospital for longer. They really should have. “...I’ve been here for a few minutes. Need me to grab you some water? O-ooh! Or maybe some tea to help with that sour throat?”

Ted wanted to be helpful. Please let him be helpful. It was the least he could do after... everything.

Don’t open the door. Don’t open the door. There’s a real and actual polar bear in the closet. Do not open the door. There’s a broom through the closet handles for now. For now, it has to do. He’s going, at a deceptively slow and calm-looking pace, through his desk to try to find some zip ties. Zip ties, yeah zip ties. That’ll work. Against an actual. Real. Full sized polar bear. Right? There’s dead silence in the room as Yu ‘casually’ digs for the ties. Bear. Bear. Bear bear bear polar bear, bear bear bear….

...Oh. Now he’s actually trapped, isn’t he? Kuma was almost positive he could force his way out, but at what cost? Sensei’s closet would be completely demolished by him doing that!

Maybe he should knock. Maybe then Sensei will let him out.

Bang. 

Bang.

BANG. 

Kuma grumbles a bit during the whole process. He’s tired of this game, and the closet isn’t as comfy as his own. 

Please let the bear out.

@hanartia just closed the closet door on you...

The small creaks and noises the closet doors made jolted the werebear awake. He was... wait. Where was he? He gave the area a few sniffs and... yep, that was Sensei alright, but nothing else made sense. Why was he in Sensei’s closet, and why was the older male attempting to trap him in here?

...At least ‘Kuma’ was able to crack open the closet once more before Sensei went and did whatever he was doing. How bearculiar... Were they playing a game? 

Kuma peaked his head out and waved at the silver haired male. Although it was meant to be friendly, it also showed off the custom fist weapon Daidara had made him. 

(In hindsight, a bear standing on his hind legs and wielding metal claws might’ve been a little threatening, but hey! Who could be afraid of such a cuddly bear?)

...Because I don’t think the fandom appreciates this bear enough. At all.

This was his karma for…something. He couldn’t think what right at the moment, but he knew there was some deity laughing at him. He wasn’t exactly a snuggly sort of fox, and he thought everyone knew that!

He gave a halfhearted squirm. Jeeze, this kid was a lot stronger then he looked.

“…I’m always grumpy, I thought you knew that.”

Oh no! Was he holding Mr. Shiranui too tight? He didn’t mean to! He’ll let him go right this instant. Release the hound!

Fox. Those were in the same family, right?

“It’s not good to lie, Mr. Shiranui! I’ve seen you happy plenty of times.”

This completely idiotic.  One would think Yosuke learnt his lesson from the last time he did this as a kid when he skidded halfway across the road.  But he’s older (probably too old for this) and smarter now (supposedly).  It probably won’t go down that way.   

“Alright, we’re down two people, so we’ll need to make do.  We start running, and when you get a good speed, you hop in the cart and joust with the stick.  Whoever falls over is the loser.  So are you ready?”

“Yosuke, I was born ready!“

Teddie waves the stick around for emphasis. Sure, this kinda sounds like a bad idea, but he’s wearing a helmet and knee pads! It’ll totally play out in his favor... Most likely.

“Should I do the countdown, or do you have it?”

Chie-chan wants to bring you to see a sunset! ( @bondchained )

“Sunset watching?” Teddie’s already buzzing with excitement at the idea. Everyone always talked about watching the sunrise, but watching that was tougher in practice. He has to sacrifice his bear-uty sleep to see those! Sunsets would be way easier to pull off! Why didn’t he think of that to begin with?

(Chie-chan, you’re a genius!)

“Ooh! We could even make it a big picnic and bring Nana-chan along~ Ev-beary-one would love it!”

Amaterasu was testing him, he was sure of it. But, it could be worse, the bear could have just grabbed his tail without warning.

“Aww, someone’s feeling grumpy. What’s made you so grizzly?”

Maybe the fact that he had wrapped his arms around the fox to drag him into a hug? Nonsense! Everyone loved bear hugs~

Susanoo stared at the sight from up in one of the luckily intact trees. Had a human gotten so bored down here that they brought down a bear of all things from above the Firmament? The god floated down, just out of reach, before speaking.

“Are you sentient? Or from above the Firmament?”

Now Teddie had seen it all. There was a floating soot monster asking him if he was from some weird place. Seeing as the werebear in question didn’t even know what that was, that only left the sentient part. 

The bear’s head nodded up and down. It’s a shame the floating man would have no clue what he’s agreeing to. Don’t ask two yes or no questions in a row to someone who can’t speak back. That leads to all sorts of confusion!
