Princess Principal Movie Chapter 1 Spoiler-full Summary
i’m living in japan right now so i went and saw the first pripri movie! bad japanese = i missed like 90% of the context sorry :/
misc thoughts
if i didn’t know i would have had no idea they changed ange’s voice actress. it’s identical to her old voice, AND i’m pretty sure she did the princess voice as well when pretending to be her.
art style is largely unchanged and of same quality! in general there was a Lot of just talking scenes so it makes sense that many of the shots were just static, but that did stand out to me. the action scenes tho were tasty
i received a chise. she is protecting the spoilers.
Tumblr media
the spoilers she protects are below the cut!

Why you should read Otherside Picnic
The first episode of Otherside Picnics anime adaptation just aired this season, so I figured I‘d do a post on why you should read this wonderful novel series.
Otherside Picnic is written by Iori Miyazawa and is currently being serialized with 5 volumes (4 in the West) being released. As you might infer from the title, it is heavily inspired by Roadside Picnic. The author isn‘t coy about its influences. The series revolves around Sorawo and Toriko, two women who meet each other on the „Otherside“, an area that occasionally opens ups doors to our world, influences it and invites individuals. A strange world running by strange rules, both take it upon themselves to explore and learn to understand it better. Their dangerous exploits happen in both our world and the Otherside, as they‘re being freely traversed. Usually they are faced with creatures from folktales and urban legends, their sole existence being enough to mess with their minds. As the team survives each encounter, their bond grows stronger and their feelings for each other begin to bud. Otherside Picnic falls under the categories of sci-fi horror and yuri (w/w romance).
You should read Otherside Picnic if you like
Lovecraftian/eldritch horror and/or SCPs
Female/female romance
Slowburn romance
Mystery
Intricate worldbuilding
Japanese folklore and urban legends
Protagonists in their 20s (this is not a Highschool yuri)
If this has your interest but you are unsure, then here are some themes that Otherside Picnic seeks to explore. I will keep it as spoiler-free as possible.
Same-sex romance between women. Let‘s be honest, this is what we‘re all here for. The romance aspect is just as important to this series as is the horror aspect of it. Both Toriko and Sorawo start out not knowing each other, but growing closer as they experience more and more live-or-death situations. Their relationship develops slowly, but very steadily. While it is still subtle in the first novels, it grows more intense as their feelings go from „I don‘t know this person, but I trust them“ to more. Their views on each other are constantly changing as both get to know and learn about each other. „Don‘t you know? The closest bond in the world is the one between accomplices.“
Sci-Fi Horror. The horror of Otherside Picnic expresses itself in the terror and dread that the characters feel as they see the creatures that are lifted from urban legends and centuries old folktales. The author sources every creature and being that makes an appearance in these novels and displays a wide knowledge of many Japanese horror tales. He channels that knowledge through Sorawo, who studies these topics and tries to explain and understand encounters of fourth kind, as the novel calls it. The Otherside is often too incomprehensible to understand, but Sorawo and Toriko still seek to unravel its mysteries. The horror is of a psychological nature, making characters often question their perception of reality as they are faced with surreal and often illogical encounters. In the vast expanses of the Otherside, they are alone, and the only thing they can count on is eachother.
The effects of abuse, unhealthy relationships and alienation. Almost all of the characters involved in these novels carry baggage with them that resulted from the remains of broken relationships. The pain they experienced shows in different ways, and for many leads to avoiding any further bonds. But it is the bonds they form that makes them heal as they support each other. Trauma and recovery is a topic that just like the romance aspect gets handled delicately and in a fashion that takes time. But even if they cannot fully heal, they manage to take steps forward whenever necessary. Overcoming the walls they built up to reach the support they deserve is the goal
Japanese folklore and urban legends. If you are interested in horror rooted in Japanese culture throughout the ages, this is a safe bet. As stated above, the author is thoroughly researching into everything he involves and every volume comes with a compendium of every material he used for his research, leading into a rabbit hole of tales and stories.
Altogether, the emotional aspect is just as important to this series as is the dread it instills. It is a pleasant balance between emotional comfort and fear.
Otherside Picnics anime adaptation is currently being streamed on services dependent on your location. The novels are being licensed by jnovel club and distributed through their services, as well most other places selling ebooks. The physical release is being compiled into two omnibuses (the first one is released, the other one set to release later this year), each of them compiling two volumes (1 & 2, 3 & 4). There are currently 5 volumes released, 4 of which have received an English release. Apart from this, it also features a lovely Manga adaptation which is also set to release later this year.
Otherside Picnic is currently very popular in Japan, spawning junior editions aimed at younger children as well as collaborations with cultural sites and schools as well. In the West sales numbers are struggling however, so if you‘re interested in checking out this wonderful series, then please support it.
If you have any further questions after this, feel free to ask! :)

You’re not always going to be happy with your writing, and that’s okay.
Take a breather, your WIP will still be there when you’re ready to get back. You don’t have to push yourself so hard if things aren’t working right now.
You’re not a failure; even the most accomplished writers have their bad days.

one of the best pieces of writing advice i’ve ever gotten:
if a scene isn’t working, change the weather.
it sounds stupid, but seriously, it works. thank u to my screenwriting professor for this wisdom

Hello, hello!
Sintreaties here with (not so good) news.
As I said when I posted the last chapter of ‘Of Thorns and Petals’, my job isn’t doing so well.
As a matter of fact, I’m very much about to lose it. Which sucks, of course! Because sure, it was sucking time and energies, but it was also my only source of income.
I know I’m not the first one asking for money, nor, unfortunately, I’ll be the last. Life can suck for everyone and everyone can find themselves in need of some help.
Thus, in order to get some peace of mind and to give my readers the opportunity of asking for commissions, I decided to open a Ko Fi page!
Tumblr media
Mind you, I’m not asking for a monthly income. This would be nothing more than a tip jar. Ten bucks (in total) every now and then would be more than enough, most importanly considering that right now all I have is six bucks and fifty cents.
If ten of you gave me a dollar each (or if twenty of you gave me fifty cents each) we’d be already set!
I’m not doing it absolutely for free of course. Consider this as a way to support me and my works on AO3.
As I mentioned, I’m also planning to accept commissions. Just like every now and then I ask for suggestions, I’ll be able to write personalized pieces (with personalized prices) from time to time. I am no Stephen King of course. I won’t ask for a contract, nor for your first born for 1000 words. We’ll be able to discuss everything in advance.
I hope I didn’t take too much of your time with this post. If you end up tipping me, know that I love you and that I am forever grateful. If you don’t, it’s okay! I still thank you for taking the time to read this!💕
Here’s the link: https://ko-fi.com/sintreaties
(Btw, there is no way I’m asking for money without giving something in exchange. Chapter six of OTAP is on its way, and let me tell you, brace yourselves for it.)
Thank you again and have a nice day! 💓

All right, so I’m sure you all know very well what’s going on in Europe with the Covid situation
Just like I’m locked up in my own house doing nothing but writing and struggling with boredom and anxiety, I’m sure there might be someone as bored as me and as eager to read something special as I am to write it, thus I decided to open commissions.
I’ll start with a maximum of 3000 words and a minimim of 500 for now (starting at 5 bucks). In case of need, of course, more words can be added.
Check out (most of) my works here, along with my first commission ‘Damnatio Memoriae’.
🟢 - What I write
-Kakegurui, Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight, The Arcana, Houseki No Kuni, Idk, name a fandom aside these ones and we’ll see if I’m familiar enough with it
-Lesbians. I’m good at those. In general, all kinds of fictional couples (as long as it’s not minor and 18+)
-I’m okay with self-inserts and OCs, but you’ll have to give me details of course
-smut, NSFW, ecc, we can talk about this sort of stuff
🟡 - What I might not write
-I’m 100% okay with certain fetishes and paraphilias (es. omorashi) (I used to write some of that stuff, so if I do accept, it will be published on another account... which I will tell you in private), but not with some others. We’ll have to discuss this together.
-If I’m not inspired by the setting and/or fandom and/or characters it’s a no-go.
🔴 - What there’s ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I’ll write
-Pedophilia. Fuck you.
-Bestiality.
-Rape/Non-con
-Scat, gore and Vomit.
-(If you commission something like ‘The new chapter of Of Thorns and Petals’ I’ll say no because it’s something that I’m going to post anyways, with no rush. Making you pay for something like that wouldn’t be fair either.)
As soon as we discuss the plot etc, I’ll send you a few lines as a summary. If you’re okay with them, I’ll wait for your payment throught Ko-Fi or via Pay-Pal before getting to the actual writing. It could take a few hours or a week, or I could even have everything ready by the time you pay, depending on your request and how many other commissions I’ll receive.
For the time being, I’ll open three slots.
Dm me if you’re interested or send me an email at [email protected].
Your help in sharing this post is also very appreciated, so even if you’re not interested, a reblog will get you a heartfelt ‘thank you’ on my part :)
Thank you for your time and for your support!
See you soon and take care!
