06.13.20 // i’ve been working on this manuscript for like the past 2 years and i’m really hoping we can finally get it submitted by the end of this month, once and for all! but of course everything is always easier said than done because now my PI and i are deliberating adding a few more sub-figures to further support one of the conclusions so /here we go again.meme/

Stop 1.5 - Toledo Spread + Travel Trivia 💭✨(from listening to too many audioguides)
I don’t think this is regarded as fact, but it’s a pretty interesting story nonetheless.
The engineer responsible for the construction of Puente de San Martin realized that he had gravely miscalculated the weight that the bridge could bear. After confiding in his wife, she set fire to the beams of the bridge during a heavy thunderstorm, so no one thought too much of it the day after. The engineer was saved from total humiliation and got another chance to build the bridge with the correct calculations.
Now if that’s not true love, I’m not sure what is.

3 Apps I use for “Productivity”
* Forest App: Forest is an app where you plant trees and bushes in a certain amount of time. I mainly use it to keep myself focused and far away from distractions.
* Google Drive: This is where I storage all my files, documents, etc. I organize them by semester and subject and it’s so easy to use! Google Drive has simplified my uni life tbh, you can also color code your folders.
* Google Calendar: you can annotate your important appointments, events, tasks, etc. It also synchronizes with the calendar app (if you use iOs)

As protests against injustice in legal system, discrimination, police brutality spread through the US, it is necessary to educate yourself about these issues.
Here are some recommendations, include both non-fiction and fiction about racism and challenges that black people face throughout their lifetimes.
