A Maxton Hall Season 2 filming announcement is the best news to wake up to! and I may have teared up at the season 2 tag. So proud of everything this series accomplished in its first season! Here’s to hoping we get bts content and it will serve!

These gifs are an example of what I mean by “Damian Hardung has so much depth and range in his eyes”: it’s nothing out of this world or exceptional (you know, compared to really amazing actors), but it’s such a breath of fresh air when it comes to YA/romance tv shows. Too often in these kinds of shows the actors are so stiff with their emotions and act with no subtlety, and their eyes convey very little about what’s supposed to be going on inside of their minds.

Damian, on the other hand, was able to communicate so much with so little. (The directing is also great and a big reason why Damian’s talent shines: it adopts “Normal People’s style” of using the camera, with the camera spending a lot of time extremely close to the actors, thus managing to put on the screen even the littlest changes in the actors’ faces).

There’s so much smugness and playfulness (1, 2 and 3), exasperation (4), fear and resignation (5), adoration (6 and 7), and, ultimately, submissiveness and sadness (8) in his eyes and you catch every glimpse of it.
